Molly Clarke was always known for being smart rather than pretty. But when an unimaginable car accident kills her youngest daughter, Mollie can’t move past blaming herself. Her oldest daughter, son and husband are consumed with their own guilt, but still blame Mollie, too. So when Mollie’s car is found abandoned and out of gas on the side of a rural road, the authorities are quick to believe that she “walked away” from her unhappy life. Only her daughter Nic thinks something bad happened and tries to find her.
Wow! This is a great story that keeps you guessing. Not just a thriller, but also a look into the destructiveness of survivor guilt. I was imagining all kinds of scenarios. It was hard to put down.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This was such a suspenseful novel - I loved it! The plot was original and the characters were multi-dimensional and sympathetic. I found myself worried about this family as I read. I loved the twists and turns as well. This is another great thriller by Wendy Walker.

I highly recommend Don't Look For Me by Wendy Walker - just be prepared to stay up all night!
Molly Clarke's family shattered at the accidental death of her 9 year old daughter, Annie. It has been a grueling five years of guilt as each person's role in the accident plays on their minds. One evening Molly's car runs out of gas on a rural highway just as a sever storm hits. She survives the storm only to find herself held captive, caged in a room looking after a 9 a year old girl named Alice.
The tension built so high that I took a peek a few chapters ahead to discover who-done-it. I never do that!!!
I volunteered to read an ARC from St. Martin's Press through Net Galley.

An entertaining mystery read with an interesting cast of characters...keeps the reader guessing and unsure exactly who the kidnapper is.

Thank you Netgalley and St. Martin’s Press for an ARC of this book. The review and comments are my honest opinion
An engrossing thriller with psychological terror, Molly Clarke’s life hasn’t been the same since she accidentally killed her nine year old daughter, Annie. It has been five long years and Molly is realizing that her other children hate her and her husband doesn’t love her. Did her mental state make Molly “walk away” from her life as the police believe, or has something more sinister happened to her. Molly has fallen down a rabbit hole and has her own Alice to prove it. I needed to sleep...but I needed to finish this book more.

Except for the language, this was a fascinating read with several twists that the reader won't expect. And to think I was sure I had it all figured out! Molly Clarke is missing, and her daughter goes to the town where her car was located, determined that she was still alive. Nicole just knows she can find her mother and take her back home. It wasn't an easy task, especially when she learns how many people involved had been lying to her.

Molly Clarke's life is far from perfect. Her children hate her and are embarrassed by her. Her husband may be having an affair because all the signs are there, but more importantly they all hold her responsible for the tragic, accidental death of the youngest Clarke child. But no one blames Molly more, than Molly herself.
One night on her way home from her son's college football game, Molly runs out of gas. With an impending storm, everything boarded and closed up, Molly accepts a ride from a man and his nine year old daughter - and that is the last sighting of Molly Clarke. Two days later, a note shows up at a casino saying not to look for her as she doesn't want to be found. The search is called off, but something doesn't feel right to Molly's daughter, Nicole and she decides to return to Hastings to try to uncover the truth. With lots of twists and turns, the book will keep you guessing until the very end.
This was a thrilling read, moved along at a good pace and the two Clarke women were strong, fierce and resourceful characters. Would definitely recommend.

Exactly five years ago, a tragic accident took the life of Molly Clarke's youngest daughter Annie. Her family is still grieving from the loss and Molly is struggling with her own inner demons. She has driven four hours to watch her son Evan play in a football game at his boarding school. When she is halfway home, Molly runs out of gas on the outskirts of a nearby town, in the middle of a category four hurricane. When a kind stranger and his young daughter offer her a ride, Molly accepts and her life will never be the same. She disappears without a trace, leaving only a cryptic note at a nearby motel and her car abandoned on the side of the road. Has Molly purposely left her family in search of a new life, or is there more to the story? Her twenty-one daughter Nicole suspects foul play and begins a search for her mother. As Nicole’s search deepens, the more her own life is endangered. Readers will be mesmerized by this fast-paced thriller and will want to follow-up by binge-reading all of Wendy Walker’s previous books.

Ok, this book had me at page three. The entire story line, character, & plot was amazing. It will keep you guessing right up until the author decides to tell you. You don't even know what exactly happens to Molly Clarke until the author tells you. You can guess and my guess was close but I still failed to see who the bad guy was. The author was amazing at pointing the finger at everyone but the actual bad guy. You fall in love with Alice and you hate her at the same time. If you like mysteries then this is one to read.

this one took me a while to get into, because of the main character so the first couple of pages I didn't really enjoy only when did it get to the part of her car trouble did i really start to enjoy the story ,

Tragedy, accident and recriminations tear a family apart. So when Molly disappears, it seems as if this would not be unexpected. But niggling doubts and things that don't add up suggest something else. But what, and who?
As the daughter probes, it becomes clear that she didn't just leave and there are others are involved. Then it is a rescue effort and all the comes from that.
This is a good mystery and an enjoyable read- lots of drama, and a nice resolution.

Molly Clarke is a mother. She lost her daughter five years ago. She get stranded in the middle of a massive storm. All that her family finds is her car on the side of the road, out of gas, with her phone inside. When a note is found at a hotel nearby, police assume shes just walked away. But her daughter doesn't feel that her mother would do that. So shes back in the small town of Hastings, the place her mothers car was found. Did her mother walk away, or did something worse happen to her?
I loved this story. It starts out, immediately catching you attention. The further you get into the story, the more you want to keep reading, and know what is going on. The characters, all well written, and very interesting. I realy enjoyed how this story was told, in the point of view of two of the characters, and in different points in time in the story, until they meet up with each other. It definitely was a good way to keep you guessing. I am usually pretty good at guessing how a book is going to go, but that was not the case with this one. kept me guessing until the end. I definitely recommend this story, if you love a good mystery.

A psychological thriller at its finest, but oh so much more! This story has it all. A grieving mother, a family torn apart, a shaky relationship with her teenage daughter and a strained marriage. When she goes missing after she runs out of gas, everyone thinks she just walked away. Nope, that didn’t happen. I really loved this book and read it straight through.

Families always have drama going on, but this one has a bit more than average. Nonetheless, crazy things continue to happen. Molly, the mother, goes missing on the anniversary of the death of your youngest daughter. The big question is, what happened to her? Her daughter Nicole sets out to find her. Huge surprise down the road that any thriller lover will appreciate.
I like the writing of this book. Recently, I feel like I have read books with no emotion popping off the page. This one was different. You could feel the fear, guilt, and more from the words. I also really enjoyed the jumping perspective that helped the reader see more of what was going on, yet still kept you guessing!
Just to add to it, I thought the cover was drawing and was the reason I had chosen this book in the first place!

What a great book! This book was well written with just enough suspsense to keep you guessing. I found myself while reading making predictions and most of the time they were wrong. You will fall in love with the characters alll the while understanding their grief and what they are going through.

Following a family tragedy, Molly’s life seems to be falling apart and is heading in a downwards spiral. So disappearing during a storm might be the perfect time to walk away from her life. After her car and a note are found, her daughter is determined to keep looking for her. Did Molly really just up and leave her life, or did she encounter an unexpected fate on that stormy night?
I enjoyed the quick pace and twists of this one! I love when a book keeps you reading because you aren’t quite sure of the characters’s intentions. That suspense that carries you until the very end is 🙌 in my opinion! How about you? Do you like a book that wraps up in the last few pages?
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
Thank you to @netgalley and @stmartinspress for providing me with a copy for an honest review.

Molly Clarke is a missing mom. Her youngest daughter died in a car accident with Molly behind the wheel. Her remaining children no longer want anything to do with her, and her husband appears to be having an affair. So no one is really surprised when she disappears on a stormy, snowy night. But then her car is found abandoned, and a note appears that seems to be from her asking them not to look for her. And daughter Nicole decides to look a little further. This a true psychological thriller, with the whole gamut of missing women, creepy men and a story that will keep you on edge till the very end. Thank you to #NetGalley for the ARC of this novel!

I really enjoyed this book - once I started, I could hardly put it down - I was that desperate to know what happened to Molly - great read!! It was my first book by Wendy Walker but I can say for certainty that it will not be my last!! Such a 'sitting on the edge of your seat' book - I loved it!!

I loved this book! Electric, pule pounding, and TWISTED. The perfect combo for an intense thriller. Fast-paced, creeptastic, and full of wily characters. Walker is a go-to author for me and this book cemented that! Masterful and brilliant. Grab this book now!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an eARC of this book. All thoughts are my own.

This thriller kept me riveted. Molly has had a miserable home life since the death of her younger daughter a few years earlier, but she tries to support her son and older daughter as much as she can, even while dealing with her own depression and struggling marriage. One rainy evening, passing through a small town on the way home from her son's football game, she goes missing. The police declare her a runaway, but her daughter Nic finds that hard to believe. The reader knows what has really happened to Molly, but must follow along with Nic to search for clues for what secrets are being kept in the town where Molly went missing. The alternating points of view from mother to daughter keep the suspense high.
