Halloween is my favorite holiday. It is the one thing I really look forward to every year. So, with my addiction to everything dark and scary, it's no surprise I loved this book. I would definitely say this is middle-grade or junior fiction since these phobias are a little too hard for children to pronounce. The illustrations are amazing and the colors pop out really nicely, complimenting the page-long stories about each phobia throughout the alphabet.

I was excited to read this book because my students love the book "Deep Dark Fears" by Fran Krause and I thought this would be a great one to purchase as a read-alike. However, the A to Z format convinced me this book may be a bit too juvenile for my high schoolers (they can be a tough crowd). All in all, well done for the middle grades.
