I think that the author should have focused on the familial aspect versus spirituality. She has such an interesting story of finding not only her birth parents, but siblings that they had and raised, plus a sister that was also placed for adoption. The emotional aspects of finding so many family members and attempting relationships with them to be captivating. I am giving this 4 stars due to the spirituality aspect that I felt took away from investing in her experiences completely.

Homing In is the author's story of her unusual family history. She was adopted but discovered later that her birth parents not only gave her up, but her younger sister as well. Her birth parents then married and had three more children, it was difficult to keep everyone straight. She was quite casual about some things her adopted father did. I was primarily interested in her family story and skimmed through the parts about spirituality.
