I have been a fan of James Patterson for a while and, whilst I have lost interest in a lot of his novels now, I still enjoy the Women’s Murder Club Series.

Lindsay Boxer is on the hunt for a serial killer or killers who are targeting US criminals.

Joe Molinari is asked to help a friend, but struggles with understanding the motive and with doubts about his friend’s mental health.

Claire Washburn is fighting her own battles.

I enjoy reading about these, and the other, main characters and how their relationships and friendships work and develop.

There are plenty of fights and upsets along the way, but it all comes through to a satisfactory conclusion.

An enjoyable, solid read.

Thanks to NetGalley and Random House UK, Cornerstone Century for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Book 20 in the series by James Patterson with Maxine Paetro is a riveting, high-octane read of the quality we are accustomed to from the deadly-duo. The story is foot-to-the-pedal, relentlessly fast-paced from the get-go. It revolves around a series of shootings in LA, Chicago and San Francisco. It is up to the wonderfully realised Detective Lindsay Boxer to discern the underlying motives behind the killings. A serial killer, vigilantism, or is something else motivating the shooter or shooters? With the usual crisp plotting we have come to expect from Patterson and Paetro, '20th Victim' builds to a thrilling adrenaline-fuelled crescendo Relentless in its intensity and and impeccably written, this latest instalment of the series is a must read for fans of Patterson and thrillers in general.

I read the first few In this series of books and stupidly imagined I would just pick up 16 books later.! I followed the storyline ok but struggled a bit with following the developments in the personal lives of the 4 members of the club.
I thought the story was fast paced but it did not really hold my attention I am afraid and I didn’t feel that any of the characters were more than 2D representations. Not a fan I am afraid. I finished the book but felt the multiple endings were very hurried. I had been looking forward to the resolution of the Cindy storyline but it just fizzled to nothing.

Sorry, I really couldn't read this book. It's written at a very fast pace and I just got lost amongst the many characters and gave up.

Book 20 in the Women's murder club series and like the 19 before an excellent read.James Patterson with Maxine Paetro combine well with this series

I love the characters in this series not just revolving around the women that make up the club who are Lyndsey (Sergeant) Claie (Medical examiner) Yuki (Assistand Distruct Attorney) & Cindy (Journalist), but a list of credible Male characters too.

This book revolves around assassinations which happen in groups of 3 at the same time in different locations suggesting a serial killer or killers. The victims all have drugs in common and it seems vigilantism.

No spoilers from me but I would recommend that readers read ALL of the books in this series (as I have) as although it is not ssential, it helps understand the relationships of all the characters.

Thanks to Netgalley UK and publishers Century for allowing me a preview of the book for a fair and honest opinion
