I really enjoyed this graphic novel because of its art style and entrenching plot. I would highly recommend this to fans of autobiographical works.

I'm not sure how many children today, even older ones, still know Bob Dylan. Although he wrote so many songs and received all the awards one can get, including the Nobel Prize, he is not played on the radio anymore. But he is still releasing new albums every few years and - at almost 80 years old - he is still travelling the world with his "Never Ending Tour"!

This little biography illustrates his childhood, college time and his start as a professional musician in New York City. Bob Dylan is - like many other people in this book series - another perfect example that your dreams can come true, no matter what your family background or your financial means are like.

This short, little biography is written for children, but completely enjoyable for this adult. The artwork is spot on, with the animation of Dylan looking exactly like the artist even when drawn as a small child. This one is a lovely introduction of children to an artist they might not know otherwise. The artwork is whimsical and beautiful. I will be locating the Little People, Big Dreams series in my local bookstore to purchase a selection for my favorite (only) great nephew,

Thank you to Netgalley and Lincoln Children's Books for the digital ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I hardly knew anything about Bob Dylan before reading this book, but my little person loves the Little People, BIG DREAMS series so I knew I had to request a copy. Sitting down and reading this together has been an absolute pleasure.
My daughter's favourite things about this book were Bob sitting and playing music to his dogs - she's always a big fan of any animal appearances! - and the little boy sitting on his father's shoulders at the concert. This was a simple inclusion but I think it was very successful: as well as being educational, this gives little ones the opportunity to visualise themselves in relation to the people that they're learning about, and as someone who has been to a few concerts and always sits on Daddy's shoulders I think she definitely understood what was going on in that image.
This felt a lot more detailed that some of the earlier installments in the series, which I really appreciated as it gives you a real feel for who and what Bob Dylan has done for music. The page of illustrations of people who have covered Bob Dylan's songs was a real eye-opener for me: I had no idea he wrote Adele's 'Make You Feel My Love'!
A series which keeps getting stronger with each installment, and one which I can't wait to read more from in the future.

Bob Dylan by Mª Isabel Sánchez Vegara & Conrad Roset

This is a cute little graphic novel about Bob Dylan. It’s a good introduction into who he is and it’s art is beautiful. I think that this could be a great little book to own if you are a Bob Dylan fan or if you just love teaching little kids history. I personally didn’t adore this little novel, but I liked it well enough that I want to and have an interest in the rest of the Little People, Big Dreams series.

I loved this little biography of Bob Dylan. He is one of my favorite singers and its great to know that people are wanting little kids to know about him too. His music inspired not only his generation, but continues to inspire other generations.

Quite an interesting book. I was really excited to read another book in this series and this particular book, though not my favourite, it was still pretty good.

Young readers and listeners will learn how Robert Zimmerman became the famous, somewhat reclusive, musician Bob Dylan in this entry in the Little People, Big Dreams series.  Finding his voice and using it are what made this singer, songwriter and multiple instrument playing musician the person that he became.  Attention is paid to the kind of music Dylan makes and the ways in which he is his idiosyncratic self.  Nicely illustrated and with additional biographical information at the end of the book, this is another excellent entry in an excellent series.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this title in exchange for an honest review.

Love this book so much, by far my favourite of the books I've read so far in this series. Not only does it still the story of Bob Marley rise in influence and musical career, it also shows his vulnerabilities and downfalls, an excellent example for children to show them it is okay to not be perfect, as long as you keep trying. I also really enjoyed the artwork in the book, so bright and simple yet really captured the story it was telling. I will definitely be preordering this book and reading it to my niece's, a highly recommended read!!

This was a really cute little book. I didn't know much about Bob Dylan going into it, but I feel like I learned a lot about him. The story was simple, but I really enjoyed the writing style and the art was adorable.

The illustrations are perfect for a book about Bob Dylan. The information in the biography is good, but there were typos, random capitalization, and spacing issues that were distracting. I hope the final book has these things fixed. Also, at the end of the book where Dylan's timeline was supposed to be, were pictures of and information about Astrid Lindgren (author of Pipi Longstocking) even though it was labeled "Bob Dylan". Again, these issues are about the book itself, not the content.

Bob Dylan is a legend. Somebody not commonly listening to English music, would also know that.
But when he refused to give a bother to go to noble prize ceremony, I was pleasantly surprised to know there is someone not bothered about these things.
This is a wonderful short biography of the singer and poet which is decorated with wonderful illustrations.
A simple read covering all major events in his journey and suitable for reading of little kids.
It is sn inspiring story. Tells that love what you do and don't go after external recognition.

Thanks netgalley and publisher for review copy.

This nonfiction series is great for inspiring and educating children. This particular book centers around Bob Dylan, following him through childhood through to his overwhelming success as an iconic music artist. Bob loved music from an early age but wasn't one for the spotlight. He was a talented songwriter who covered topical themes like religion and war. He wasn't so focused on pleasing people, more just doing, writing, and singing about things he felt were important. He remained an ordinary soul and stuck to being himself.

Bob Dylan is an incredible role model to children. His passion for music but determination to remain an ordinary person are still true today. The important lesson here is to always be yourself. He gave a voice to the people but remained humble and honest. We can all learn a thing or two from this legendary human.

I received an advanced reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.

Another fantastic book in the Little People Big Dreams series by Maria Isabel Sanchez Vegara!
This time it's after a song writer -Bob Dylan who couldn't sing very well but through his passion for music and singing found he was very good at writing songs that reached people about things that mattered to them. This teaches children that his dream didnt go the way he planned but he didn't give up and he found another way to be a part of the dream he had by writing the music instead.
I love This series, it teaches chikdren about famous people who perused their dreams and didn't give up.

This was a fine little picture book, but I thought it was a lot lower quality than most of the other books I've read in the series. The way Dylan's life story was told was so generic that it felt like it really could have been about anyone...

It's a very simple introduction to Bob Dylan, even if it's for kids. I felt there were no "life lesson" in this book, perhaps apart from being oneself, and the was the biography of the wrong person in the back. Cute illustrations though.

Some spelling mistakes and included the wrong person's biography at the end. Very brief book which left a lot of Bob Dylan's life out and didn't provide enough to give the full picture. The story jumped a lot, one minute he was a lonely teenager and the next he was a megastar. However lovely illustrations and a simple introduction to Bob Dylan that leaves the reader wanting to know more.

I was really happy to see that Bob Dylan had been chosen to be one of the Little People, Big Dreams book collection. I feel that the content and words did him justice, and this book would be perfect for Bob Dylan fans to read with their children or grandchildren, or for teachers to use with their students, especially in music or 60s education topics. I also loved the illustrations. Overall, this is an asset to the collection and I'm looking forward to adding it to my collection.
