A good addition to the series, it was fun to catch a glimpse of Bob Dylan as a kid - he seems like he was always grownup so it's nice to be reminded that everyone starts from the beginning, even Bob.

Another great addition to the Little People Big Dreams series! I love all of these books and my kids do too! They are simple enough to keep their interest but not so basic as to be boring. Love!

This series is always a joy to read, it’s a really nice introduction to well known people for little children. Of course the plot is always a little bit fast but that’s to be expected and it’s totally understandable.
This one here is about the famous singer Bob Dylan. I think it gives a nice description on how he started his career. I really enjoyed the message it conveys which is to never settle and to always challenge oneself, just like Dylan does.

***Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review***

The overall book was fine, but I noticed a few typos and at the end where they have a timeline of his life, there was another person featured. I think this needs to be re-edited.

This was a reasonable primer for its subject, but showed the shortcomings in such small books. In just a few pages we do get the biography of Bob, from his childhood up to his Nobel Prize, but it leaves so much out. How did he get from sounding "like a dog with his leg caught in barbed wire" to someone who sounds like that today, but in an acceptable way? How was he able to insist on invisibility at school yet do a talent show there? That latter instance is, I suppose, indicative of the many split aspects of Bob's character, but asking such questions as an immediate response to this book shows you don't get anything like all the answers it may require. Still, it shows its subject deserves a place in the franchise, and for once the artwork is not as childish and poor as many other entrants (I loved the fact the audience was hearing an instrument they'd never seen before, when they're a pair of dogs). Three and a half stars.
