The plot, concept and characters were compelling. Just not well executed. I tried really hard to get into this book as it hit all my must haves - fell short.

I disliked how the writing and chapters was. At first i was really confused what kind of book it was because it was such a random wierd start...It was boring and meh.

Not the biggest fan of this - I just couldn't empathize with the charcters' arc and their experiences which made it hard to sympathize with what was going on in the story.

I’ve read some other books by RJ Barker/Tom Holt, and never have I been so blown a way by a conclusion to a book, I’m so excited to get my hands on the next. But while the story was immaculate, a child could have written it. So 4 stars.

A sweeping fantasy set in a brand new world written by RJ Parker. Requiem.

Changing Times focuses on two main characters, best friends Clint Holden and Corbin, who are tasked with holding the fate of not one, but two worlds in their hands. When two separate groups of magical creatures enter their world trying to track down Clint who, unbeknownst to him, had ties to the mysterious Requiem. Things quickly go from just another normal day to the adventure of their lifetimes. This was a magical mystery with well developed characters and I would highly recommend it to younger fans of fantasy. This is great title for middle-school ages and up.
