this was a really interesting read, I enjoyed going on this journey with the characters and getting to know them. I thoroughly enjoyed this book

I thought Betrayed was a great read. I look forward to more by this author in the future. Five stars.

Betrayed is a fascinating, bittersweet story about an old man telling a story to a boy. The story is of a Civil War Confederate soldier, and all that he went through as a soldier. It is well written, and though the story is interesting, it is a bit slow in the beginning. It includes a lot of battle history. I couldn't hardly put it down when it gets near the end, this story is enthralling.. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.

The author did a brilliant job of capturing the inner struggle of a young boy wanting answers and fear at finding them and of the man who holds the answers. This was a great read.
