Khloe was fired because she wouldn't write an expose on Will Carson, the grandson of a family friend. When she reaches out to Will's grandad he offers her a job. Work as Wills assistant, a few weeks in St. Thomas, wardrobe provided and she can regroup.

What will happen when she discovers that Will's grandad is trying to play matchmaker? Will the rules that Will sets for his employees work in her favor or will she change the playbook and set rules of her own?

This scorchin read is fun, flirty, and a bit dirty.

there was nothing original, nothing special at all. this is just full of the cliché and contrite. Lets check off things
boss/employee relationship-check
innocent woman exploring her boundaries-check
a miss understanding that if these people actually acted like people would have been resolved instead of blowing up in their faces-check
a misunderstood millionaire-check
an HEA that happened because these two dumbasses finally talk to each other-check

In the end I would read again if I was bookless. bored and this was literately my only option but it would be just as awful the second time

This was a nice quick steamy read with just enough angst to keep things interesting.

James Carson is someone Khloe is really fond of so when her boss confronts her about writing an expose about his son Will she declines and is then fired. What's a girl to do, well smart thing for her she went to tell James about the situation and he took the news better than she had expected and offered her a position as Will's assistant.

This is where things go interesting because the chemistry was through the roof and she knew who he was but he didn't remember her but regardless he has a strict no fraternization with employees policy, but you know how the saying goes...rules are meant to be broken ;)

If you enjoy hot and steamy office romances this is a great book for you to dive into.

Happy Reading!!!

I'm not sure what to say about this book. The entitled male character is obnoxious and the female doesn't seem to value herself at all. I'd pass.

3.5 Stars!

Cathryn Fox has been one of my go-to authors for quite some time, and she never fails to entertain with her erotic stories. UNDER HIS OBSESSION is a standalone romance that primarily takes place on the exotic Caribbean island of Saint Thomas.

Khloe Davis and Will Carson met a couple of times when they were kids. Now Khloe is a recently unemployed journalist and Will is a successful businessman, thanks to his family’s multi-million dollar conglomerate. Khloe’s ethical morals caused her to lose her job, and as a result, Will’s grandfather hired her to be Will’s temporary assistant while she seeks out new employment opportunities.

Thanks to a salacious tabloid spread that completely shattered Will’s life a few years ago, he has become quite reclusive. As a result, his personal assistants are carefully screened, and they don’t last very long because of his compulsion for privacy. Khloe is an odd choice for the position because she is incapable of doing anything domestic. Will and Khloe are like Frick and Frack, yet they get along really well and have undeniable chemistry.

Although I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it fell slightly short for me. So much sex left less time for the story, and I prefer more of an equal balance between plot and sexy times. Khloe and Will have an amazing chemistry and I loved how quickly their desire evolved. The story was fun, with very likable secondary characters. Will’s ninety-year-old grandfather’s unique talent for matchmaking was cleverly executed. Overall, a nicely written sexy read.

This was a wonderfully romantic story about a boss and his horribly unqualified assistant. Millionaire, Will Carson is very secretive. He likes to keep his life as private as possible after a tabloid splashed a mistake he made in his personal life all over the magazine. He goes through assistant's like nothing else. Never keeping them for long and never having the same one more than once. When his granddad sends Carson, the very attractive, but horribly domestically challenged Khloe Davis, for his personal assistant during a trip to Tropical St. Thomas - he has to wonder what that old man was thinking.
She breaks everything she touches and can’t make so much as a sandwich. And the maddeningly tiny French maid uniform she wears every day is definitely not the required dress code that Carson required. Sleeping with the help is against every rule in his book - but Khloe is becoming more and more harder to ignore. He can't think straight. He can't concentrate on his work. All he want's is Khloe in his bed and when he finds out she wants the same thing - nothing can stop them from keeping their hands off of each other. As good as things were with them though - Carson can't help but think that Khloe is hiding something from him. What is it? And how bad was it going to hurt?

I loved this book so much! I love how strong and confident Khloe is about herself. After a horrible experience with her ex, she still finds the strength to come out confident and anything lacking in said confidence, Carson is there to prove her wrong. Cathryn captured the two main character's perfectly in this book. After that nasty tabloid thrown across the magazine of Carson's mistake, it was interesting to see how closed off he was to everything, but how generous and caring he still is to those he trusts. And let's face it - after what he went through..... trust is hard to come by. I don't blame him one second.
They story played out perfectly, with many steamy scenes, romantic scenes. I loved the humor that went along with some of these and how Khloe doesn't back down from anything. Especially him, after she'd been warned about how much of an asshole he was from previous assistant's. So, if you're looking for a good, steamy, romantic read - this book will definitely leave you satisfied.

"Now that I know what I do to him, that he too feels the heat between us, I plan to torment. I'm not going to make things easy on Will. In fact, I'm going to make things very hard on him."

Cathryn Fox is a new author for me, but if this is an example of her work, I've got a lot of her backlist titles to catch up on. As for Under His Obsession, while the the title didn't thrill me, it was a one-sitting, addictive read and it gets 5 stars from this reader.

Khloe works for sleazy Starlight Magazine, although her dream is to be a journalist for The New Yorker, and she's just been given an assignment by her boss that she doesn't want. Not long ago, a sleazy expose, complete with photos taken at his bachelor party, ruined the engagement of wunderkind Will Carson, an immensely wealthy, brilliant, and gorgeous, software developer, who happens to be the son of Khloe's father's dear friend, James Carson, a man who was practically a grandfather to Khloe, and who is now in his nineties, but still sharp as a tack. When Khloe refuses to do a follow-up on Will Carson and the devastating effect the last expose had on his life, she's fired from her job, with no savings to speak of, but at least she has a backbone and some ethics.

After clearing out her desk, she decides to drop in on James Carson to warn him that although she refused to further wreck the life of his grandson, someone else will certainly do so. Upon learning that her refusal to do the article cost Khloe her job, James decides that she'd be perfect as Will's temporary assistant--he's going to be in seclusion on St. Thomas, and since he never hires the same assistant twice, James warns her that Will has strict rules about how his assistants are to dress, behave, speak and more, but since his private Lear jet plane is leaving very shortly, and with no other source of income in sight, Chloe throws some clothing in a bag, and is a bit late arriving at the airport.

What follows is the second meeting of Klhoe and Will, aboard the jet (they did once meet when she was a child), is a wacky comedy of errors, with some very well-written banter, and 3 weeks of misunderstandings, sexual innuendo, breaking plates, burned food, a broken vacuum, misunderstandings, and some seriously steamy, explicit and erotic goings on between these two characters, and it all worked for this reader, who thoroughly enjoyed these two well-drawn characters, and the proof that opposites can and do attract.

If graphic sex isn't your thing, this might not be the novel for you--it certainly belongs in the Harlequin Dare imprint, but I found it to be an engaging, emotional, sexy, sad and thoroughly entertaining read, and I enjoyed every minute of it.

I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this novel. The opinions expressed are my own.

I enjoyed this book and was to me anyway nice and quick. We have an opposites attract and a whole lot of steaminess, and since the last couple of books utterly bored me I needed something to get me out of the slump. So grab a copy and enjoy how these two meet and get to know each other.

Khloe and Will seem to be complete opposites, and in lots of ways they are, but they are exactly what the other needed. You know the secret Khloe is keeping is going to cause major issues with them, so that is always hanging over the story. But while you wait for that to happen, you get a wonderful sexy story of two people getting to know each other, and falling in love. Of course the falling out happens, and Will makes a gesture perfect for him and Khloe to make it all right again!

Will is obsessed with protecting himself after an article destroyed his life. Khloe wants to be a journalist but has started out working for a sometimes questionable magazine and the one who ruined Wills life.

Both of them can be very stubborn, hard working, and follow the rules. When Khloe is tasked with writing a story on Will she refuses and ends up working as his assistant.

He knows she is hiding something but he can’t turn off his attraction to her and from the start his rules are thrown out the window.

When secrets come out both of their lives are thrown into a tailspin, but how they recover is sweet. I liked this one and it was fun to read watching Khloe turn Will’s life upside down and know that James has a hand in as well. Enjoyable to read.

These two individuals did happen to cross paths when they were both younger. She was five and sick with the chickenpox. Being a window, her dad relied on after-school daycare, but she was sent home from hers.

Her dad worked for James Carson as his driver. So, on this day he had not a problem with sweet quiet little Khloe sitting in the back of the limo with him. One of the stops was to pick up a grandson from swim lessons. He already had the pox so no worries. Until she threw up all over the back seat.

Now, she finds herself in a position where she will be working for Will. Yet, she is asked by James to not let him know she’s a journalist. So, on the plane to the destination, she throws up to find out it was Will in the limo that day.

He’s laughing saying, he is getting a complex. When she asks why he says because she’s vomited on him twice now in his presence. The rapport the two have is a good blend of authority with easy banter, with mischief, innuendos, and a whole lot of sexual angst.

How he sees this full-figure beauty with curves in all the right places. With no points that poke when you hold her is amazing. He also loves her sass and that he doesn’t get what he wants when he wants it, that she challenges him.

When he mentions his rule book when they get to his place in St. Thomas she is irked. Then, she sees the uniform his grandfather spoke of about, oh boy! It is now on.

Enjoyed this book, the character too. James was just too sweet. Will and Khloe had so much sexual energy and a lot of funny banter that kept you reading. The writing just seemed to flow.

The man can have an easy going attitude, “I’ve met you twice now, and you vomited both times. How’s a guy not to take that personally?” Will isn't one to beat around the bush, “and I’ll continue to be rock hard all day long.” I liked this book, I loved Wll.
