Khloe was fired because she wouldn't write an expose on Will Carson, the grandson of a family friend. When she reaches out to Will's grandad he offers her a job. Work as Wills assistant, a few weeks in St. Thomas, wardrobe provided and she can regroup.

What will happen when she discovers that Will's grandad is trying to play matchmaker? Will the rules that Will sets for his employees work in her favor or will she change the playbook and set rules of her own?

This scorchin read is fun, flirty, and a bit dirty.

there was nothing original, nothing special at all. this is just full of the cliché and contrite. Lets check off things
boss/employee relationship-check
innocent woman exploring her boundaries-check
a miss understanding that if these people actually acted like people would have been resolved instead of blowing up in their faces-check
a misunderstood millionaire-check
an HEA that happened because these two dumbasses finally talk to each other-check

In the end I would read again if I was bookless. bored and this was literately my only option but it would be just as awful the second time

This was a nice quick steamy read with just enough angst to keep things interesting.

James Carson is someone Khloe is really fond of so when her boss confronts her about writing an expose about his son Will she declines and is then fired. What's a girl to do, well smart thing for her she went to tell James about the situation and he took the news better than she had expected and offered her a position as Will's assistant.

This is where things go interesting because the chemistry was through the roof and she knew who he was but he didn't remember her but regardless he has a strict no fraternization with employees policy, but you know how the saying goes...rules are meant to be broken ;)

If you enjoy hot and steamy office romances this is a great book for you to dive into.

Happy Reading!!!

I'm not sure what to say about this book. The entitled male character is obnoxious and the female doesn't seem to value herself at all. I'd pass.

3.5 Stars!

Cathryn Fox has been one of my go-to authors for quite some time, and she never fails to entertain with her erotic stories. UNDER HIS OBSESSION is a standalone romance that primarily takes place on the exotic Caribbean island of Saint Thomas.

Khloe Davis and Will Carson met a couple of times when they were kids. Now Khloe is a recently unemployed journalist and Will is a successful businessman, thanks to his family’s multi-million dollar conglomerate. Khloe’s ethical morals caused her to lose her job, and as a result, Will’s grandfather hired her to be Will’s temporary assistant while she seeks out new employment opportunities.

Thanks to a salacious tabloid spread that completely shattered Will’s life a few years ago, he has become quite reclusive. As a result, his personal assistants are carefully screened, and they don’t last very long because of his compulsion for privacy. Khloe is an odd choice for the position because she is incapable of doing anything domestic. Will and Khloe are like Frick and Frack, yet they get along really well and have undeniable chemistry.

Although I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it fell slightly short for me. So much sex left less time for the story, and I prefer more of an equal balance between plot and sexy times. Khloe and Will have an amazing chemistry and I loved how quickly their desire evolved. The story was fun, with very likable secondary characters. Will’s ninety-year-old grandfather’s unique talent for matchmaking was cleverly executed. Overall, a nicely written sexy read.

Cathryn Fox is a new author for me, but if this is an example of her work, I've got a lot of her backlist titles to catch up on. As for Under His Obsession, while the the title didn't thrill me, it was a one-sitting, addictive read and it gets 5 stars from this reader.

Khloe works for sleazy Starlight Magazine, although her dream is to be a journalist for The New Yorker, and she's just been given an assignment by her boss that she doesn't want. Not long ago, a sleazy expose, complete with photos taken at his bachelor party, ruined the engagement of wunderkind Will Carson, an immensely wealthy, brilliant, and gorgeous, software developer, who happens to be the son of Khloe's father's dear friend, James Carson, a man who was practically a grandfather to Khloe, and who is now in his nineties, but still sharp as a tack. When Khloe refuses to do a follow-up on Will Carson and the devastating effect the last expose had on his life, she's fired from her job, with no savings to speak of, but at least she has a backbone and some ethics.

After clearing out her desk, she decides to drop in on James Carson to warn him that although she refused to further wreck the life of his grandson, someone else will certainly do so. Upon learning that her refusal to do the article cost Khloe her job, James decides that she'd be perfect as Will's temporary assistant--he's going to be in seclusion on St. Thomas, and since he never hires the same assistant twice, James warns her that Will has strict rules about how his assistants are to dress, behave, speak and more, but since his private Lear jet plane is leaving very shortly, and with no other source of income in sight, Chloe throws some clothing in a bag, and is a bit late arriving at the airport.

What follows is the second meeting of Klhoe and Will, aboard the jet (they did once meet when she was a child), is a wacky comedy of errors, with some very well-written banter, and 3 weeks of misunderstandings, sexual innuendo, breaking plates, burned food, a broken vacuum, misunderstandings, and some seriously steamy, explicit and erotic goings on between these two characters, and it all worked for this reader, who thoroughly enjoyed these two well-drawn characters, and the proof that opposites can and do attract.

If graphic sex isn't your thing, this might not be the novel for you--it certainly belongs in the Harlequin Dare imprint, but I found it to be an engaging, emotional, sexy, sad and thoroughly entertaining read, and I enjoyed every minute of it.

I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this novel. The opinions expressed are my own.

I enjoyed this book and was to me anyway nice and quick. We have an opposites attract and a whole lot of steaminess, and since the last couple of books utterly bored me I needed something to get me out of the slump. So grab a copy and enjoy how these two meet and get to know each other.

Under His Obsession is a steamy romance that pulls you in from the beginning and leaves you wanting more! A wonderful story of opposites attract that is full of drama and lots of steamy romance. As the story builds you get a wonderful sexy story of two people getting to know each other, and falling in love. Khloe and Will seem to be complete opposites, and in lots of ways they are, but they are exactly what the other needed. You know the secret Khloe is keeping is going to cause major issues with them, so that is always hanging over the story. But while you wait for that to happen, you get a wonderful sexy story of two people getting to know each other, and falling in love. Of course the falling out happens, and Will makes a gesture perfect for him and Khloe to make it all right again!
