Ray so clearly shows how the Law is needed to show people their sin before a holy God – then they’ll be ready to hear the Good News about Jesus. He offers strategies to help us tell others about God … pray that God will help you love others and give you the right words, and even offers ways to share the Good News without leaving home! This is a thought-provoking, practical book. I received a free copy of this book with no obligation.

This book moved me. I didn´t expect to have that reaction to be honest. I just wanted to read and find out about those "10 ways to overcome fear", I guessed I probably would know them already, and I´d just remember and then move on with my life. But oh! why... Bummer! What I found was a deep conviction going through me. Why is that?! because sometimes it is not fear what is involved in you not be sharing the gospel, it is no lack of knowledge either, what is it then? Indifference probably, also a huge love for my comfort... those where my thoughts after I closed the book... is that to get involved with someone it is going to cost you... everything. When you will get involved you will see that happens. Ray Comfort shares lots of histories of his encounters with people, I think it is a unique way he has to get up and look for targets, I know it is because it is his job, his youtube channel, and his mission, but above all even if we don´t have a channel or platform to share about it, we must keep sharing the gospel, even when no one finds out we are doing it. This is a very comforting book, you will be encouraged, exhorted and challenged as a child of God to share about Him. Can´t wait to get to know people around me who God already had planned us to meet, sometimes for a minute, others for hours, a certain season or for life.

A great guide for evangelism. I have always felt unable to evangelize, like I wasn't good enough to do it. Ray's book is an amazing look at how everyone is capable of evangelism. It was just the encouragement I needed at a trying time in my life.

Ray Comfort has written such a informative book about evangelism. Witnessing to people can be difficult and we sometimes find ourselves searching for the right words that inform yet aren't 'pushy'. Sadly, we do find ourselves thinking that we may not be bold enough or as good with words so, yes, anyone but me can tell others about my faith. He gives so many wonderful ideas in this small, yet powerful, book. Yes, YOU can impact others for Christ!
Comfort is well known for his series "The Way of the Master" in which he talks with people on the street about salvation and where their heart is at regarding the matter. This book describes some of the methods that he's found helpful in expressing to others those thoughts.
I received an Advance Review Copy of this book. All opinions are my own.@RayComfort #anyonebutmebook

Anyone but Me
10 Ways to Overcome Your Fear and Be Prepared to Share the Gospel
by Ray Comfort
Baker Books
Christian
Pub Date 05 May 2020

I am reviewing a copy of Anyone But Me through Baker Books and Netgalley:

The primary reason we often don’t share the gospel with our family, friends and coworkers is fear. We fear that we do not the right to answer their questions. We are afraid that if they reject the Gospel, they are in fact rejecting us. We are determined not to do anything that makes the situation awkward, or strains our relationships to those we care about. Instead we say nothing because in that moment our discomfort feels bigger than our loved ones' ultimate destination if they remain outside of the body of Christ. Deep down we know that is not the case, but in the moment that is how we react.

Ray Comfort who is an apologist is here to help in Anyone But Me. In this book he shows you how to overcome these fears by developing ten critical, biblical characteristics so that you can confidently share the message of salvation with your loved ones. If you have been longing see a dear friend, family member, or coworker come to Christ, now is the time to begin becoming the faithful witness they need. We never know how much time we have so now is the time to share the good news.

I give Anyone But Me five out of five stars!

Happy Reading!

This book explains with Scripture why it is every Christians duty to evangelize and how we can overcome that fear and do it! I highly recommend this book and it inspired me to order gospel tracts and get out there! Thanks to NetGalley and publisher for ARC.

Have you had a deep longing in your heart to seek and save the lost as Jesus did? Have you experienced the obstacles of fear and the burden of feeling being unprepared to evangelize stopping you? If so, “Anyone But Me” is a must read for you! Ray Comfort has filled this book with a vast variety of actual evangelism scenarios. Many of these real life evangelism encounters are word-for-word which creates a step-by-step guide for each of us. These encounters help us to deal with the many types of difficult, awkward, and even dangerous situations that we might possibly run into as we go out into all the world and preach the gospel; just as Jesus commissioned those of us who follow Him to do. Additionally, Ray Comfort’s writing style not only makes this book an easy read but also makes it very entertaining as well.

Just finished this book with my husband and what a blessing it has been! Ray Comfort gives biblical principles in combatting fear of evangelism while giving a peak at his own personal experiences as well. It has been a great eye-opener that love for the lost should trump fear. Have faith that God is always with us and pray that He work in every encounter we have. Highly recommend to any Christian!

Anyone but me!! Have you said those words to yourself? I know that I have. Ray Comfort’s new book certainly does address that issue. With so many on the wide road to destruction we tend to think that someone needs to get the “Good News” to them, but certainly not me.
I love that Ray Comfort does not see the outside of the person that he might be speaking to, but instead he dwells on the eternal person that will live forever either in Heaven or in Hell. That is what we all should do. After all someone looked past our sinful actions, our outward exterior, and knew that we needed to be rescued from our sins.
Ray offers very applicable advice in this book. During the time that I read this book an incredibly special person in my life passed into eternity. She did many good things, and by all accounts she was a great person. The question is was she trusting in her own “good works” or in Christ? So many trust in their works. We need to warn them that that is not good enough. This book will give you practical advice and encourage you to speak to the lost. If not you, then who?

There were so many things I liked about this book,I really believe that Ray Comfort’s practice of showing kindness to all people-even those who see him as their enemy is such a great witness. It’s very easy as the Bible says to be kind to those who are kind to us but quite another to be kind to those who scoff and hate on us. We show these people a good picture of Jesus who we claim to follow when we do so. It also helped me to remember that although sharing the gospel with others can be hard we, as Christians have the Holy Spirit to help us with this. There were a lot of helpful tips on witnessing, encouragement and also a good amount of as I say in the title, convicting on why and how we need to share the Gospel with others- there is truly no way to be kind to others without also caring about where they will spend eternity. I very much appreciated this ebook which I received in order to review (but also downloaded an audio copy of myself). I would recommend to others who feel the need to get serious about this part of their Christian walk.

While I have watched a few of Ray Comfort’s videos, this is the first time I’ve read one of his books. It is a book packed with a lot of Scripture (though he uses quite a few versions) and a lot of examples from his own ministry. It definitely gives a lot of ideas to help Christians know how to witness in different circumstances and is a convicting read.

I almost hate to point out things I find against a book like this, because his gospel message is Biblically sound and I believe his heart is in the right place. However, two little things: he didn’t really encourage team witnessing or church support. But if you read in Acts (or even the Gospels where Jesus sent His disciples out two-by-two), you’ll see that these are very important. There is not solo-Christian work encouraged in the Bible, but Ray Comfort didn’t clearly mention that (I could have missed it). So, if you just take what you read here and apply it to teams, it is a very good book for ideas and encouragement to get into more active witnessing.

*I received this book from the publisher and happily provided my honest review*

Anyone But Me is a simple, but mighty, book. Ray makes the case as to why every believer has the responsibility to “be fishers of men” and boldly suggests that those who have no desire to do so, may not actually be saved at all. If you ever needed a kick in the pants to fulfill the great commission, along with a good ol’ dose of encouragement, this book delivers. Ray tackles love, obedience, fear, and always brings it back to a rather encouraging thought: we aren’t to stress about debating theology or convincing people of the identity of Jesus. We are sent simply to share the truth of the gospel sharing the law which is what convict’s the heart, thereby preparing the heart to receive the gospel of salvation by grace. Without having an understanding of sin, the message of the cross is foolishness.

Ray’s anecdotes are vivid and do an excellent job at grabbing our attention as to the role we have as believers to warn those around us that they are in danger of hell. Would you let anyone (friend or stranger) go for a drive in a car without brakes? NO! If you did, even in the human court of law, you would be considered a murderer. And yet we often let people careen out of control headed straight for hell, not even alerting them to the danger ahead. As Ray says, “If we don’t have love that weeps at the state and fate of sinners, all of our giving, all of our theology, all of our professed worship isn’t worth a hill of pharisaic beans.” And friend, in case you think it’s good enough just to “love on them” with your own peace/joy/happiness, I have to ask: is it truly loving someone if you never warn them of the cliff they are about to fall off? Wouldn’t you be upset if your friend never told you about the cliff?

I’ve been following Jesus for many decades and found this a difficult read (in the most delightful sense). Not because the book was hard to understand, but because Ray’s simple message rang loud and clear. I found myself both deeply introspective of the state of my own faith, as well as convicted and spurred to action. Being made aware of your shortcomings can be difficult, but I will forever be grateful. With that said, I do believe that this simple book will speak volumes to the unbeliever as well as the long time saint, and be a repeated source of encouragement for both.

I have just one question for you: Are you a good person? Have you ever lied, stolen, used God’s name in vain, or lusted after another? If you have done these things, you’ve broken God’s law and God sees you as a lying, thieving, blasphemous adulterer at heart. The Bible warns us that one day God will punish you in a terrible place called hell. But He is not willing that any should perish. As a sinner, you have broken God’s law and the debt has to be paid. Jesus paid our debt in full with his death on the cross. This means that God can legally dismiss your case: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” The Bible then tells us that then Jesus rose from the dead, defeating death! Friend, you might be in a car without brakes, or you’re standing with your toes over a cliff never knowing when someone will send you tumbling to your death. You could die after you read this. So today, now, repent and trust Jesus and God will give you eternal life as a free gift. Then read the Bible daily and obey what it says. God will never fail you, but all else will.

Please think on these things.

This is a well written book with a powerful message. It is not a book you will speed read, it is a book you will take notes and apply to your life. I will read this book more than once and refer back to it often. Thank you Ray Comfort and Baker Books via NetGalley for the ARC copy of this book. All opinions expressed are my own.

This title ,Anyone But Me , is so perfect for this book. It sums up how I feel and I am sure how most Christians feel about our mission of sharing the Gospel to all. How many times are we given that message when reading the Bible? How often have you felt inadequate, afraid ? In sharing his personal experiences of street preaching and the stories of people he has encountered, Ray has given a wake up call to us all., He has shown that we are to do this. Thank you Ray Comfort. Definitely a 5 star book.

Anyone but me.!
Amazing book! Three things happen when you read this book. 1) you get excited about the subject matter, evangelizing about God the Father and Jesus Christ to others. 2) you will have a good set of tools to start your ministry or add to your current one. 3) why it is so important for you to give people the Good News
Ray does a excellent job of showing us the how and why his ministry works and backs up his story with biblical text and real life experiences. I found the subject matter engaging and easy to read and understand. I also feel much stronger in my desire to present the Gospel in a effective and non-threatening way..because of the way Ray breaks it down. How much can we do to help people see who Christ is number one, and having the Holy Spirit in your heart speaking the truth of the Bible is where you start... As Ray states in his book, how can people know they need a savior if they don't know they are a sinner.
A big bonus of Rays book is one I did not see coming. How can I be a effective minister of Gods word if I don't know His word? Am I really as devoted to Christ as I say I am? How much am I willing to suffer? Ray will show you something about yourself in the pages of this book that maybe hard to admit to, but again, Ray is just using the Bible to help us get closer to The Father in our quest to be a true follower of Christ. I pray you give this book a read and let some of the chapters soak in, take your time reading it and enjoy your new ministry.
as for me,I have one question, do you believe in the afterlife?

In his engaging and winsome way, Ray Comfort writes this book to help Christians feel a compassion and empathy for those who have not yet come to Christ. It takes seeing the lost as God sees them for us to set aside our fear of rejection and the discomfort of confronting them with the truth and to help them come to the understanding that this is the most important decision they will ever make.
Ray shows scriptural support for each step along the way, from preparing ourselves by knowing the Gospel, practicing speaking it to strangers, and focusing on the cross of Jesus Christ so that we are not drawn off base by empty arguments. As important as apologetics can be, the Gospel cuts to the quick and helps humble those who are ready to hear it. This is not a book about how many angels can dance on the head of a pin—this is practical, biblical direction for using the Ten Commandments as a mirror to show a person their sinfulness compared to God’s righteousness, so that they can see the need for a Savior. A person dying of cancer will not avail themselves of the cure until they have been diagnosed conclusively with the dread disease. This book helps Christ followers become adept at pointing out the cancerous growth that all humans have—sin—and pointing to the only Cure—Jesus Christ.
