The Lost and Found Bookshop by Susan Wiggs has great characters, the history of an old building, and fun literary references. However, the story moved a little slow in sections to me. The Lost and Found Bookshop will appeal to readers who have enjoyed books about bookstores, California, strong female protagonists, and other books by Wiggs. As a long time Susan Wiggs fan this book surprised me and delighted! I was a huge fan of the characters and the ambiance of the story! It makes my bookish heart swoon with a few tears.

Great book, a little on the cheesy side. Or a little unrealistic but I did love the character Grandy.

Another great read by Susan Wiggs! Natalie takes over the Lost and Found Bookstore and finds comfort from the books. I ended up listening to this as a finished audiobook, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I appreciate the sweet romance, as well as the genuine family dynamic and situations. I didn't realize this was part of another series so there were a few things that I felt like I didn't really have information about, but it was minor and easy to keep moving forward.

This book was ok, however just completely obvious and predictable in what was going to happen from the beginning. There was a lot of repetitiveness and as opposed to creating a moment, it was more telecast stating "this person did this, or felt like this," This is a pet peeve of mine. The actions need to be written in a way that it is understood what is occurring and what feelings are brought about. I think this was definitely a good palate cleansing book and I thought that it was definitely a cozy read. Thanks for the ARC. NetGalley.

I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. I love all of Susan Wiggs's books. This one took me a little longer to get into, but I did love the characters in the end. Great book.

I really adored this book. Just what I was needing after reading a couple of duds.

Natalie wants a life she didn't have when growing up. Stability. But when an accident rocks her foundations, will she realize her childhood was more magical than she thought? Will she be able to help her beloved Grandy, who's struggling with dementia and save the bookstore she grew up in?

The one thing that really bothered me about the book is after she spends the night with a love interest they smoke weed out of the nightstand drawer. Where did that come from? That little scene seemed to be out of nowhere and seemed out of place.

As a book store lover, words can't begin to describe how much I enjoyed listening to this audiobook. The story begins with an unimaginable tragedy as Natalie Harper loses her mother and boyfriend in an accident. She quits her job and attempts to run her family bookstore, "The Lost and Bookshop" while caring for her elderly grandfather. Repairs on the aged building unearth hidden treasures and family history. All the characters were enchanting and the flashbacks to their own stories just added to charm of this book.

Loved this book!!! The characters are fabulous and such a sweet story.

Natalie Harper's life quickly changes after an unexpected tragedy. She decided to take over her mother's beloved book store. Natalie's grandfather still lives at the bookstore but his health and mental status are quickly declining in age.
This story brings in unexpected characters and really makes you question what make a happy life. Natalie finds out much about herself and her family's history as she updates and remodels the book store. This is a beautiful story and I highly recommend.

A wonderful story by one of the contemporary romance genre's greatest storytellers.

I was unable to read this title at the time given. I had a family situation that took me away from Netgalley and my blog. I hope this doesn’t too much effect my ability to review titles in the future. My apologies to Netgalley and the publisher.

I read this a while ago, and don't remember much about it, which says a lot in itself. I enjoyed it, but didn't love it as much as I wanted to, and found it predictable. It was a very quick read, and my first by this author: I'm not sure I would hurry to read more.

I loved the special bond between Natalie and her grandfather, grandie in this story about the lost and found bookshop. This is a book perfect for all book lovers.

Natalie gives up her career to help her grandie who has dementia keep his bookshop after her mother tragically dies in a plane crash. The bookshop is old and is really falling apart. Peach is the plumber for hire. Natalie has assumed throughout that he was married, however, has wondered what could be if he wasn’t married. When the building falls apart treasures are discovered in more ways than one.

I enjoyed this book. I liked that the characters had realistic problems that so many of us deal with - aging parents, failed relationships, shared custody, financial issues, etc. This made the characters relatable. Also, I’m a sucker for a story that involves bookstores.

I love Susan Wiggs's books, and what's better than a book about books? I obviously had high hopes for this book, and I have to say while I didn't love it as much as I expected to, I did like it. It is a story filled with hope and love and I loved the relationship between Natalie and Andrew.

The characters in this book are well drawn and true to life. The struggles that they endure throughout the book have the reader rooting for a happy ending, especially for Andrew. I loved all of the historical details about the building and the family and how Natalie came to see her life differently and realized what she truly wanted to be happy. The book is well written and once you start you won't want to put it down.

This is not something I would normally read, so perhaps not fair to say, but I did not really enjoy this title. The author is very popular and I am certain her readers would still enjoy it.

Lately, I've been finding dozens of books with bookstore or bookshop or bookseller in the title; and of course, that spikes the interest of this self-professed bibliophile. What could have more appeal for a book lover than a library or a bookstore. Susan Wigg's THE LOST AND FOUND BOOKSHOP takes the reader to San Fransisco and a building that had been in the same family for generations. A devastating accident sends Natalie fleeing a lucrative, but unsatisfying career back to the family bookstore where she undertakes trying to save a dying business. At the same time she must come to grips with her grandfather's failing health and increasing dementia. The book was an easy read and despite delightful characters follows a predictable path. The literary references, historical backdrop, and some well developed minor characters (grandfather Andrew) saved the read for me. Wiggs is an author with a large following of readers, and I am sure this book is a success with them as it offers a story that combines love for family, romance, and San Fransisco history.
