Very insightful book. The authors spell out how Trump won the election and they do it with style. The writing is outstanding. The book will open your eyes to some things and make you think more about others. A very good read. The authors are two professors of political science who have written several other books. In this timely book, which recounts events from the 1960's through the end of 2019, they examine the political and social trends and developments of the last several decades in compelling narrative. They discuss the two major political parties as well as Trump’s agenda, and speculate about Trump’s future. The book gives important perspective about both the current state and the future of American politics in a manner that is factual, unbiased, and easily understandable. They include their sources, and as a high school librarian, I recommend it as a reliable source of information.
