This was a fun read! I enjoyed the story. The revenge plot was interesting to read about and I like that it is set in a sex club!

I struggled to get into the book but once it got going the book was quite enjoyable. I’m glad I stuck through it but if you don’t have the patience then I wouldn’t bother.

I struggled to get into this book but once it got rolling it was a good read. The chemistry between Karri and Trouble was great but there were time he was so arrogant I wanted to slap him. The story was good but the resolution felt disappointing. The end was just too quick and neat.

Trouble owns a sex club he also owns a huge chip on his shoulder towards a man who he believes killed his sister. Kerri has known idea who trouble is or what is going on with his past what she does know is that from the first night when she meets him, she is drawn to him. Not wanting or thinking any man could get into her mind and dreams she is surprised when this happens.
Trouble has become his own torment for he planned for her to enter his life what he did not plan was for himself to fall in love with her. Not just in love but whole mind body and soul in love. He had never experienced love like this before and knows he will never find anyone like her ever again because she is his one.
The question now becomes once he comes cleans about everything will he be able to win her back? Well, he has to find her first and then hopes she will even listen to him. A very good story that grabs you once you get into it. Nothing like you think it will be at the beginning. It also has very good characters.

Kerri Harrington frequents an underground sex club and she is searching for excitement. She meets Trouble, his name is literally Trouble. Kerri is drawn to him but Trouble has an ulterior motive and he has been stalking Kerri for awhile. Once Trouble finally meets Kerri, his plans for her change. Trouble, real name Ian Sutherland was an alpha man with a capital A. Kerri turned his world upside down.

What irritated me the most was for the quite a few chapters Kerri was okay with simply calling this man Trouble. I got tired of her referencing this grown man but such a silly nickname. On some level, Kerri knew there were things Ian was keeping from her but she was too afraid to ask him. Their relationship was intense from their first interaction. Their sexual chemistry was off the charts! I liked that Kerri was able to hold her own for the most part with Ian and she wasn't one of those weak heroines who always needed saving.

Overall this was a nice quick read. I would read more from this author in the future. Thank you to NetGalley for providing a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Well, I tried to get into this one and it just didn’t happen for me. I gave up at 10% and skipped to the end to see how it ended. Well written, just didn’t capture my attention.

Ian plans to use Kerri for revenge and so he watches her. He blames her father for the death of his sister. Kerri visits a sex club and loves to experience the intimacies she has there. Ian changes her dynamic at the club and soon sparks are flying between them. I loved the intimacy between the characters and their story really draws you in. I loved it!

"A part of Trouble is broken too, just like me. Like twin flames dancing to the same song of sorrow."

Did you see that cover? IKR? I was just minding my own business when it jumped out at me and I was struck with #CoverLust and had to read the synopsis. I was too intrigued to pass it up and decided to give this new-to-me author a try.

Trouble is exactly the type of alpha caveman character that does it for me. He's broken and beautiful. Bossy and badass. Sweet (behind closed doors) and sexy. He's determined and delicious. He pursued her for revenge. He planned to use her, to break her. But she turned the tables on him without even knowing who he was or what he intended to do.

She committed the ultimate sin. She made him want her. She made him lose focus, stealing his attention and blurring the future he'd spent years envisioning. She doesn't know it yet, but she's gonna end up forcing him to choose. Because if he ruins her, he'll be taking himself out with her.

I devoured this story. I read it cover-to-cover and refused to sleep until I turned the last page. It was kept my attention and had me excited and nervous for the characters as I waited for everything to blow up in their faces once all the secrets were revealed. Their connection was immediate and intense and I hoped that it was enough to overcome the devastation I knew was headed their way. I felt their passion and pain every step of the way and was totally invested. In case you can't tell, I'll spell it out for you. I LOVED IT!

This author is new to me, and quite good. This book is absolutely more erotica than romance and unfortunately I had to heavily skim most of the book and basically read the dialogue and a few sentences of each paragraph here and there just to finish, which worked out well since I didn't give up. I actually enjoyed the second half of the story more than the first and the whole sex club stuff didn't do anything for the story and I don't understand why it was even included? Anyways, i would probably try another book by this author if it was slightly less about the sex dominance and just more real. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Trouble by Colet Abedi is the story of Ian 'Trouble' Sutherland and Kerri Harrington.
Ian set out to get revenge for his sister's death. The path Ian chose was Kerri who is the daughter of the man he wants revenge on. But what he didn't count on was that she was who she is that made him feel something more. This was a page turner read for me. I really enjoyed their story.

From the front cover to the back, just perfection! This is a book I would read again and again. Would I like to know more? Heck yes and that's what gives me the desire to reread and see if I missed something. It's one of those books you just don't want to end and you carry it everywhere to continue to read because you don't want to put it down. Love the characters! All of them. Love the storyline and the pain, the forgiveness and love.

3 1/2 Stars

Ian (Trouble) Sutherland wants revenge for his sister’s death ... he plans to ruin the married man that broke his sister. And what better way to do that than through the man’s daughter. But when Ian meets Kerri, all his plans come to a grinding halt.

This is a good story, but I just couldn’t get into the characters at the beginning. Ian was just an arrogant a$$hole, while Kerri just let him run all over her. But as the story went on, I found that I began to like them more. Ian became more likeable and Kerri began to think for herself. All in all a good read.

I was pretty much hooked on this book from the moment I started it. I've had a bit of a bad run of books lately, so it was good to get one that I couldn't put down.
I was a bit worried that this was going to be one of those books where the hero is completely overbearing and controlling. He does have his moments, but in many ways, the hero and heroine were fairly well matched. Ian and Kerri have that obsessive instant attraction that in real life wouldn't probably bode well for a long term relationship, but works so well in romance novels. They also have that oh so important reason to not be together. A past that Kerri knows nothing about, but that has been Ian's whole life for many years.
I've discovered since finishing the book and having a nose around on Goodreads that although this is a standalone novel, it is linked to at least one other book from Colet Abedi. The characters and relationship in her Wild Duet Boxset feature at least in passing. I'm not sure if any of the other characters that we come across also appear in other stories (or perhaps in the case of brother Colt, will do). It doesn't matter if, like me, you haven't read any previous books, as this works fine in its own right.
I liked Ian and Kerri and enjoyed reading about their relationship. It is fairly clear where it's going to go. There's no way with their situation that there can't be an explosion at some point and this is a romance, so of course, it has to all work out in the end. I really enjoyed the story and would be keen to read more from Abedi.
I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

A Romance book with some substance and an interesting story behind it. Troubles name definitely suits his characters, dark and broody, tattoos and attitude, I can vividly picture him every time I read a scene in the book. Kerri and her vivacious personality I can see drawing in all the looks and men that enter her life, but I do wish that she had opened up about her past to the others around her.
A great read and a great stand alone romance novel. I love the writing style and descriptions of each scene and character, makes them come alive.
Thank you for the opportunity of this ARC.
