It was kind of interesting, but it took a long time for me to really like Keelie. Til about 50% she was just boring and annoying. But she became interesting afterwards. But the story itself felt like it dragged on and took too long to get to a point.. It was okay, but i were missing some information here and there about the magic and all.

I was so excited to read this series by Madeline Dyer after hearing about some of her other books and seeing it recommended to me a few times!

Book one in the Dangerous Ones series is a new series set in the same world as Dyer's Untamed series. We see familiar characters through new lenses, and this one is all about Keelie's experience in the War. I was intriqued by this one given that we know from book 1 of the Untamed series that Keelie dies early on. So this book (and the start of this series) is set before the Untamed series.

Keelie is a great MC. She's loud and brash and confident and I couldn't read fast enough.

This is an okay book for me. I expected some scenes and build up in characters but i think, it still has more to power up. Hence, this book is a quick read and still a great book to read.

This was such an intense read from start to finish! There was always something happening, and Keelie could never seem to take a breather. I liked how some earlier characters were brought back.

I don’t read a lot of dystopian, but I loved this book. Forbidden love, love triangle, great characters, this has it all. Dyer’s prose is tight and smart. Her characters are relatable and engaging. This book was the perfect escape in a world that is a little more dystopian than it should be.

I don't think the synopsis of this book does it justice. I loved all the characters and the journey that it takes them on. I haven't read the previous series and although you can still definitely read this as a stand alone, I think it would have enhanced the reading experience of this book. Dystopia is definitely a genre that i am becoming more in love with and this one definitely fits into that. Bring on Book 2! Thanks NetGalley for my ARC.

I was given a copy of this book through @netgalley netgalley and I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This book started off kind of slow but I powered through. As I powered through, I found the world building lacking. You have no idea what created the post apocalyptic world, where the Enhanced came from, why they hate humans, or why there are wild spirits. Overall, I was disappointed in the lack of details and unexplained aspects.

This has got to be one of the craziest books I’ve ever read. I did not see any of it coming.... I thought this was going to be a sci-fi romance...... but it was so much more. This is definitely a book I would recommend to others. Fantastic!

This books was not what I was expecting at all. There were twists and turns and normally I am pretty good at some what predicting these things but not so much in this story. While the ending wasn’t what I was hoping for, it was done very well and definitely made me want to see where the books would go next.

I haven’t read any of this series before, but I wasn’t lost at all, this was a good read, kept me interested and the characters were likeable and the story fast paced. A good dystopian tale, and I look forward to reading future books.

I'd like to preface by saying that I haven't read the Untamed series so I am new to the world setting. That being said, this is a successful stand alone novel that I was able to grasp despite my unfamiliarity. I thought the plot was interesting. Similar to some dystopian novels I've read but just different enough. There are good, powerful, characters. However, I'm not quite sure what to think of the main character, Keelie. Her skills either seem like she's the best at something or no good at all. There's no middle ground or being second best, which made it difficult to connect. The book does end abruptly but looks as though the first book in the Untamed series picks up shortly after.
