What a lovely story. Author looks just like her mother did. I loved this book , and learning all about the family.

Thanks to author, publisher and Netgalley for the chance to read this book. While I got the book for free, it had no bearing on the rating I gave it.

This is a lovely memoir written by the daughter of Natalie Wood. It is not a biography of the late star, but rather, Natasha’s story detailing her life which was shattered by the death of her mother at age 43.

I admire her openness and her love for her 2 fathers, Robert Wagner and her birth father, Richard Gregson. She is brutally honest about her own life and the horrible suspicions centering around the night her mother drowned. Her stories about her grandmother, her sister and her aunt Lana fill the book and make it a very poignant read.

Certainly, those of us who remember Natalie Wood will enjoy this, so I highly recommend it to all of her fans.

Thank you Netgalley for this fascinating memoir.

More Than Love - An Intimate Portrait of my Mother, Natalie Wood. A powerful story about the life, death and loss of Natalie Wood written by Natalie’s daughter Natasha. She writes an emotional story about her relationship with her mother. They were close and shared a sweet mother/daughter love. Natasha was 11 years old when she lost her mother. She writes of the devastating loss she and her family experienced after Natalie’s drowning accident and untimely death. Sharing some of her family’s deepest sadness and how they struggled to cope, to grow and slowly begin to rebuild their lives.
Beautifully written.

Beautifully crafted memoir by Natalie Wood’s elder daughter. She looks clearly and compassionately at her mother’s life and death as well as how Wood’s tragic death impacted the entire Wood-Wagner family. Natasha Gregson Wagner has written a beautiful and insightful story about her family and coping with loss that should resonate with readers. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book from NetGalley. Most highly recommend.

One of the best mother daughter stories ever told, I felt so lucky to be totally immersed in Old Hollywood for the weekend. the writing was
flawless and the author did a slow and thoughtful reveal of her maturing. Perfect amount of pictures enhanced the narrative. I was sorry the book ended and have hopes that Natasha will foray into essay or fiction writing.

This was such an emotional book. I loved every minute of it but it ripped me to pieces when she loses her mom. I loved the insight into the family and how she felt about the accusations so many years later. The way she finally worked through her issues put everything in perspective because as somebody who also lost their mother very young, it's life changing.

Beautifully crafted memoir by Natalie Wood’s elder daughter. She looks clearly and compassionately at her mother’s life and death as well as how Wood’s tragic death impacted the entire Wood-Wagner family. For those looking for sensationalism or gossip, you won’t find it here. Wagner makes a compelling case for the fact that the accident was just that and nothing more. As she points out, the only people bringing accusations now are those who have something to gain financially.

More Than Love, by Natalie Wood’s daughter, Natasha is a story of life in the Wagner family before and after. Natasha was 11 when her mother drowned. The portrait she paints of her years with her mother are filled with the highs and lows of a relationship colored by the superstitions of Natasha’s Russian grandmother, Natalie’s determination to give her children a “normal childhood,” Natasha’s complete emotional dependence on her mother’s physical presence in her life, and Natalie’s ridged parenting rules meant to keep her precious daughter safe. The after details how the members of a blended family (Wagner’s daughter, Katie, Natalie’s Natasha, and their daughter, Courtney) did their best just to survive the tragedy. Those of us who are of a certain age remember watching Natalie’s career blossom as she was one of a very few child stars able to grow up onscreen and become a first class adult actress. We cheered when she and Robert Wagner married the first time and cheered again when they remarried. We read all about them in Photoplay and Modern Screen and had our bedroom walls papered with the glossy photos the magazines published. We also remember the rise of tabloids that sensationalized her passing. Natasha Gregson Wagner has written a beautiful and insightful story about her family and coping with loss that should resonate with readers. For those of us who “knew” Natalie and R. J. from magazines and film, her daughter has given us a generous peek at the vulnerable human beings behind the glossy photos. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book from NetGalley. Most highly recommend.
