Murder, revenge, and wealthy people who believe they're above the law. This book starts with a bang and continues on that course until the end. The book is full of twists and turns and Devlin and Falco are great characters. I found this book thoroughly enjoyable and hope to read more in this new series.

Trust no one - the rich and powerful seem to be in a position to get what they want through any means necessary. A husband, a mother murdered and a pregnant wife missing. All is not what it seems as Detectives Devlin and Falco, new partners, investigate the seamy side of the wealthy in this story. The amount of people which are connected in this story is brilliantly tied together for an amazing conclusion.

Detective Kerri Devlin has a new partner, Detective Falco. She is not too sure about him but the longer they work together the better their relationship. Their first case is a double murder with the wife missing. Thee are some high profile people involved with this family. It seems like the further they go the more complicated the story is. The story goes back years before when the missing lady's sister went missing. I found this a great story with many twists and turns. Hard to tell sometimes who was the good guy. Look forward to reading more with these two detective.

Well, this book was certainly a pleasant surprise! I’ve never read a Debra Webb book before, so I didn’t know what to expect. The book is billed as the double homicide of Daniel Webb and his mother-in-law, and the disappearance of his pregnant wife Sela. The investigation is led by harried Detective Kerri Devlin whose former partner and mentor has retired, and now she’s been saddled with a new partner, rebel Detective Luke Falco. The pressure is great to solve this case and to make matters worse, her manipulative ex-husband wants custody of their thirteen-year-old daughter Tori.

The suspects begin to pile up, including a number of high-profile local citizens who have many secrets to protect. In addition, her own niece Amelia goes missing and it seems she is attached to the case as well. As the case intensifies, Devlin must decide who to trust. Will her new partner prove to be trustworthy?

The first part of this book was a slow build, mostly character building, and there were a lot of characters, so many that I had trouble keeping them straight at times. Around the halfway mark it really picked up the pace and I was hooked up until the climatic end. I will be checking out her backlist for sure. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book. I gave it four stars.

this book was pretty good, good storyline, too many characters though and how many interlocking storylines was unbelievable. but if you were willing to suspend belief or else believe that there were only 25 people in that city........... but still interesting enough.

Start with a double murder, have a new partner no one wants, your ex is trying to take your daughter and you might have killed someone. Just a day in the life of homicide Detective Kerri Devlin. There was alot going on in this book, multiple povs that at times were too much for my tiny brain, but the twists, the turns in the plot were top notch. Kerri and Falco made a great duo and I hope to see more of them. Thank you Debra Webb. Thomas and Mercer and Netgalley for the arc. I freely volunteer my thoughts and opinions.

A double homicide and a missing woman lead a detective to unearth disturbing secrets.
It's a story of revenge that follows Detective Kerri Devlin and her new partner, Falco, while they dive in a double homicide investigation. This is the most detailed criminal investigation story I've ever come across. I felt like I was working to the case with the detective, I think it is well written and has very likeable characters. I find it a bit slow-paced, but overall loved all the twists and turns!

Trust No One couldn’t have a better title. This intricate story of revenge follows Detective Kerri Devlin and her new partner, Falco, while they dive in a double homicide investigation. Although a bit slow-paced at the beginning, I’m willing to read more from the (I suppose and expect to be) series.
Even if Debra warns you to trust no one, you can trust me on this: when you least expect it, you’ll be thrilled. Main characters are well developed and somehow damaged, which honestly only makes them more credible for me, if that even makes sense.
Despite giving a few hints due to different POVs, so we can get ahead of the investigators, the plot still manages to surprise.

I don't read murder mysteries , thrillers etc. because I just feel like they're so real! I don't watch the news often because I get anxious with all the negativity and it affects my mood and my day and I feel like reading such stuff (even fiction) is the same. I decided to give this one a go when I saw it on Netgalley, because on the cover it says the author is USA Today Bestselling Author, and I had to know if this was a good read. The description itself sounded scary to me just reading the word homicide made me want to back out, but since I'm making this review...I finished the book. and I ENJOYED IT! I constantly found myself blurting out clues to detective Devlin as I read through the different POVs! I constantly found myself gasping if the detectives found something new! I was also rooting for a Devlin & Falco love story .... hahaha (don't mind me).

I was in awe with how the author made such a twisted homicide case so flawless. I couldn't imagine it to happen in real life but yet everything felt so real. I love how the little details came together, how all the lies and secrets came out and connected with each other. I did have a hard time at first because the prologue explained nothing and I felt lost. I do prefer books that give you a clear picture of the characters and what is happening beforehand. I also got lost in some chapters where the POV changes and I have no idea who it is and I have to reread some parts again to get a clearer picture. The story is told mainly in Detective Devlin's POV, but since there were already other POV's in the story I would have loved to have detective Falco's side too , and maybe some other characters. (that I will not name, so now YOU have to read it!).

Overall, as someone who is not a reader of murder mysteries and thrillers, I highly recommend this book to anyone who does and is also starting out with this genre. Maybe if you are an avid reader of such genre, you might find this a little anti-climatic, since you yourself get clues/details that the detective's don't, due to the change in POV (the reason why I had to shout out words because Devlin needs to know!). It's my first time reading this author's work, and I just might pick one up from here soon!

Thank you Netgalley, and the author; Debra Webb for providing an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

I’ve read some of the authors other work and enjoyed it but unfortunately this one fell a little flat for me. There were a lot of characters to keep track of and the side plots became confusing. The case hooked me from the beginning and I was invested in finding the truth. I enjoyed the characters and their relationships. Overall, a fine read but a bit too messy in the execution. My thanks to the publisher for the advance reader in exchange for my honest review.

Trust No One is an intricate story of revenge and how far someone will go to right a wrong. It starts with a double homicide that initially puzzles Detective Kerri Devlin and her partner: the husband and mother are dead but the pregnant wife is nowhere to be found. Each time they think they have a break in the case they peel back another layer of the wife's past. Is she a victim or a suspect? As Detective Devlin deals with the twists of the case she realizes that some powerful people are involved- and they will do anything to cover up their involvement. Debra Webb has written a book that takes the reader on an interesting ride. I would recommend this book to fellow readers.

TRUST NO-ONE.......Debra Webb
Detective Kerri Devlin Is teamed with Falco, her job now was to properly orientate him. From his wardrobe, to hair, he had been undercover
They have multi murders with connections to the elite people and their secrets, political, and coverups. They learned to work together and formed a good team. She questions her ex wanting their daughter for the summer. He had a great condo, views of the city in New York and the girlfriend. Good beginning to this new series, they always have a lot of depth, action and enjoyable. Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion by Net Galley and Thomas & Mercer

Debra Webb has captivated her readers once again with this book, every story she tells gets better and better.
This story has in a mystery/suspense book., with lots of twists, turns and surprises.

I love reading anything by Debra and I has to say that I was drawn into this story from the first chapter. This is the first book in a new series by Debra Webb it had everything you want, there was plenty of action and lots of twist and turns that took you on a roller coaster of a ride. I am looking forward to more in this series and seeing what the characters get up to next. Whilst there were some parts of the plot you could guess there were also a few surprises. It’s fast paced, and definitely worth a read.

Debra's books always keep me up to the early hours of the morning reading. I never get much sleep when reading one of her books. I truly enjoyed this book and it was a fabulous story that I would recommend it to all.

This book follows detective Kerri Delvin and her partner as they work to solve a double homicide in Birmingham, AL. The book starts at the end, something that I think was meant to capture my attention, but I forgot about it really quickly since it didn't make sense with the time hop. The book overall felt like a drawn out episode of Law & Order, with the detectives spouting lines typically of a slightly cheesy tv series. It did however make it super easy to visual the writing and follow along with the story. I appreciated how often the two recounted the facts of the investigation as it was also hard for me to keep all the characters straight at times. It wasn't the most creative story, but it did hold my attention and I'd definitely recommend it others!

The thing that mystery novels have going for them is the unfolding of threads and secrets that lie deep into a town, city, group. As we try to solve one crime we begin to see the revelation of the secrets that were pushed down and kept secret. While this book does that, addressing important themes as it goes, the execution is rather lacking.
So we begin with a prologue, a moment that is set in the last quarter of the plot, where we meet our hero, detective Kerri Devlin shooting a man dead. We are not told who the man is, but the character, whose point of view we are following, does know. It feels a little bit like cheating and that will be the mode of the whole book. There is a murder, a millionaire and his mother-in-law and we follow, mostly, Devlin and her new partner, Falco, seeing things through her PoV.
Except when we don’t. There is the occasional shift in the PoV to random characters that reveals facts and information that the detectives don’t know, keeping we always in the position of knowing what was going on, while the protagonist try to solve the puzzle without the pieces we have. As a result, we get frustrated because we basically see them slowly getting to the conclusion that we already had dozens of pages before.
The shift in point of view also contribute to the feeling of being cheated as we are deliberately concealed information that the character has. At one point a unidentified PoV character proclaims he is calling the detective. We don’t know who he is, but we find out two pages latter. When we finally get back to the initial scene the narration keeps avoiding the name of the man (even if, at that point, there are not many alternatives left) while casually dropping it at a conversation.
Unfortunately an ok plot is hurt by the lack of perception of how to build suspense and use multiple PoV to create the tension. It would be better if some of those alternative PoV chapters were cut off. Also, it is way too long. Cut some unnecessary description (at one point it reads “Jenkins lifted her shoulders and let them fall” which could be “Jenkins shrugged”, right?) and side thoughts and we could have a decent 200 pages book.

Thanks for NetGalley for a copy of this in exchange for a honest review.

Trust No One
Debra Webb

Once again the author grabs you at the beginning and doesn’t let you go until the very end. Debra Webb has a knack of leading you through a maze where you think you have found the end only to come to a road block. Devlin and Falco can’t seem to get a break, but when they work together as true partners a solution is in sight.
Another late night read in a new series.

If you want an edge of your seat thriller/suspense, Debra Webb is the one to read.
Trust No One opens with two murders and a pregnant woman who is missing. Devlin is given a new partner just when her personal life is in turmoil. I like how it shows a real life type of relationship between partners and how she is dealing with personal life.
Look forward to seeing these characters develop

This book was an excellent read and definitely recommend to put on your list. The integrating of all the characters within the book and how they all relate to each other is amazing! I'm hoping there will be a series! Thank you to Debra Webb and Netgalley along with the publishers for allowing me to read this book.
.
Devlin is a investigator along with her new partner Falco she isn't sure about that are called to a double murder. The wife, Sela is pregnant and nowhere to be found. She is becoming more and more a suspect but Devlin and Falco just aren't buying it. Powerful people are at play and with people that keep dying left and right, they aren't sure who to trust is telling the truth.

Detective Kerri Devlin and her new partner Detective Falco are called on to investigate a double homicide. A man and his mother-in-law were murdered in their home. But where is the pregnant wife? Is she a victim ... or should she be a suspect?

BOOK BLURB: But just as answers come into view, the case twists, expands, and slithers into Devlin’s personal life. There’s a much more sinister game at work, one she doesn’t even know she’s playing—and she must unravel the truth once and for all to stop the killer before she loses everything.

This is a tightly woven plot surrounding well-developed characters. I really enjoyed how the personal is blended with the professional lives of the main characters. The action starts on the first page and doesn't let up until the very end. It held a suspenseful steady pace amid lies and secrets that make this a real page turner.

Many thanks to the author / Thomas & Mercer / Amazon Publishing / Netgalley for the digital copy of this crime fiction. Read and reviewed voluntarily, opinions expressed here are unbiased and entirely my own.

2.5 First, a thank you to NetGalley for sharing the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I always hate to give a meh or negative review, but I honestly didn't much care for this novel. I never fail to enjoy a solid police procedural, especially when the primary character is a strong woman seasoned with experience. And perhaps therein lies part of the problem - that I have read so many that I have enjoyed so much more. Although I have not read any of the author's previous books and therefore have no basis for comparison, the majority of readers sang her praises, so I decided to give this one a go. However, I found the characters hollow and it was as though I was once removed from the story. I also never like it when a story is interspersed with brief bits of inner dialogue by the unnamed villain as it breaks the momentum of the story and too often gives away too many clue. Thus, the conclusion was anticlimactic and didn't come as much of a surprise. If I'm going to take the time to read a 400+ novel, I want it to end with a bang.
