Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review!

I read Trust No One in a matter of hours, even attempting to read it while cooking dinner because I couldn’t put it down! I enjoyed the entire story and found Detective Devlin to be a relatable and well written character, along with her partner Falco. I guessed at a few of the plot twists and reveals, though not all of them, and was satisfied by the story progression. The way the pieces of the puzzle came together and the surprising inclusions of certain characters in the mystery were amazing as well. Webb also did a great job in making some tough choices about deaths!

My only critique would be the inclusion of the “unnamed character” chapters dispersed throughout the novel. I felt it detracted from the flow of the story and didn’t add much in terms of plot. The information revealed could have been worked into the story in a different way and wasn’t needed, in my opinion. This opinion didn’t taint the rest of my reading experience overall, it was just something to be mentioned.

If I could, I would give Trust No One a solid 4.5 out of 5. I would absolutely recommend this read to anyone who enjoys mysteries/thrillers from the detective’s point of view!

The author provided a lot of suspense and intrigue that had me reading this in one sitting. The conspiracy angle added another layer of mystery to the story.

Thank You NetGalley/Publisher & Author for this gifted Ebook

Summary--
It’s the worst possible time for Detective Kerri Devlin to be involved in an all-consuming double-homicide case. She’s locked in a bitter struggle with her ex-husband and teenage daughter, and her reckless new partner is anything but trustworthy.

It’s good to get in at the first book of a new series by an author you enjoy reading. TRUST NO ONE by Debra Webb revolves around a multiple murder case with connections to a city's powerful elite; as well as having deep reaching tentacles into the past. Devlin and Falco are an interesting partnership, one straight-laced and the other just emerging from years undercover, but their personalities play well off of each other, strengths to weaknesses; and you know that they will make for good reading in books to come. There was just enough familiar introduction and past revelations so that we, the readers, could better know why the detectives reacted as they did in certain situations. Yes, this was and will be a good detective series, one a I highly recommend and look forward to reading more of in the future.

Thank you for the ARC of Trust No One by Debra Webb that I read and reviewed.
This is the first book in a new series by Debra Webb it was full of action from the start and it really did not stop until the end of the book. I can’t wait to see where Devlin and her partner goes in this series because they seem like a great match.
As for this book as a reader you have to pay attention and stay on your toes because there is a lot going on in this book. It is a really good read but a ton for the first book in a series but is one heck of an introduction to the new characters.
Trust No One gets four out of five stars from me.

This one moved along a little slower than some of Debra Webb’s other stories for me. I liked the characters and look forward to more books with Luke and Kerri and main characters. There just weren’t any real surprises or ah ha moments but it’s a good lite summer read.

3.5 stars

If something unforgiveable happened to someone you love, could you sacrifice everything to get revenge?
Debra Webb explores this in her new series with Detectives Devlin and Falco. The story grips you from the beginning with a crime scene that leaves you guessing if the pregnant wife Sela is a captive or an accomplice. The small town secrets and the world of the privileged makes you question every character and their motives in regards to murder. How the case directly affected Det. Kerri Devlin made the story that more intriguing. I was captivated with every page trying to figure out how the pieces come together for these characters. Det. Devlin's niece working for the suspect in question. The wealthy dead husband who you wonder if he was in on the sins of the past. Wondering if Falco with his own demons and partner to Det. Devlin was trustworthy keeps you reading more.
I loved how the author made you question every person they interviewed only to find out you were wrong in your assumption. Letting out enough information to keep you reading, but not giving away whodunit. I have read several of Debra's books and they never disappoint. Great story that made me ask if I could have done what needed to be done no matter the cost.
I absolutely would recommend this book to anyone who loves a cat and mouse pace with an ending that leaves you satisfied.

Debra Webb tells a story that you will not be able to guess or put down. The steady pace keeps you hanging on and doesn't let go. Detective Kerri Devlin from Major Investigations has just acquired a new partner much to her chagrin.
Detective Devlin and her new partner, also new to the specialized department, Detective Falco, are investigating a double homicide, maybe triple if the missing pregnant wife isn't found fast. One of the deceased is rich and comes from a family of money and power. The untouchable elite, who are above talking to detectives.
Kerri is also dealing with a 13 year old daughter who wants to make her everyday the biggest challenge ever and an ex that only compounds it. Kerri's family is a close knit loving one that support each other failings and all. And Kerri can use all the help she can get from them with her daughter Victoria.
As the detectives search for a killer and the missing wife they find the tangled leads can lead to danger that can come close to home and seem to lead in very high places making it hard to know who to trust.
Great book! Honestly I read it in a couple days and didn't want to put it down. I think it is well written, has very likable characters and you definitely won't get bored or figure out the tangled web. Sad and maddening, caring and loving are all touched on emotions when reading this book. One of her best yet. I’m glad there will be more with Kerri and Falco. If this is your genre" you will want to read Trust No One.
Thank you Debra Webb, NetGalley and Thomas and Mercer for this ARC this is my totally honest opinion of this book.

Det Kerri Devlin is assigned a high profile murder case and also a new partner. A pregnant woman has gone missing but is she a victim or the perpetrator? This book is full of twists and turns. I wasn’t sure how the author was going to tie everything together, but as usual in Debras books she did a great job. I couldn’t put the book down. Debra is on my must read list.

This has got to be the most entertaining book I've read in a while! Does being wealthy allow you to be above the law? Do you just kill someone because they know something they shouldn't know? Are all police personnel trustworthy? This superbly written book will make you ask yourself all these questions. When you pick this book up to read make sure you have time to read and read and read because you will not want to put it down once you have dived in! Debra Webb is an extraordinary author and I'm so glad that I found her books.

I received a print ARC from the author and this is my honest, voluntary review. Enjoy! 📚

Detectives Devlin and Falco, of the Birmingham, Alabama PD, are new partners and, suddenly thrust into the double murder investigation of one of the most prominent families in town. Devlin is already dealing with her daughter wanting to spend the summer in NY with her worthless ex-husband. The last thing she needs is a new partner that she doesn't know, much less trust!!
Falco has been deep undercover for another PD for 9 years and, has a history of now following the rules. There is something about Devlin though, that makes him trust her immediately. Good thing as this double murder and, possible kidnapping are just getting bigger and more involved by the day!
This book was slow to start but kept getting more interesting by the chapter and, the complex twits and turns are fascinating to figure out!
