This was not a book for me. I was not a fan of the characters or the plot. I think this just a case of my type of book.

Overall not a bad story at all. Good romance that had just the right amount of heat added. The plot was written rather well.

Layla goes to Italy to pitch her lingerie line but Giorgio’s sisters have more in mind than just fashion. What will happen when sparks are flying between them? Fast-paced read with great chemistry and an entertaining story. I liked it.

I received an advanced reader's copy of Making over the Billionaire by Joan Kilby from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This was the first book that I have read by Joan Kilby and I was pleasantly surprised to find an enjoyable new author to follow.

Overall, I felt this was a solid romance and I found it to be well written. I especially liked the primary and secondary characters' interactions and found their banter to be amusing. The main characters, designer Layla and design house mogul Giorgio, were likeable so you couldn't help but root for them to sort out their issues. Plus, the novel had a fast-moving plot and steamy romance.

All in all, Making over the Billionaire by Joan Kilby was a quick, fun read and I would recommend it for any romance fan.

Giorgio thought he was in control!

Designer Layla Langham wants design for billionaire Giorgio Borhlenghi’s company but they only hire Italians and she’s an American. Layla decided to put everything on the line by flying to Rome and renting the house next to his. Layla got an introduction to Giorgio but he turned her down but she met his sister who actually ran the design part of the company and she arranged for Layla to meet Giorgio in his office because he was always working. Layla invites him to lunch but he decides to take control of the invitation and take her to lunch on his yacht and stay for the weekend where things really start to heat up between them.

Making over the Billionaire is a very hot read with the attraction between Layla and Giorgio very immediate and sudden but Layla isn’t a wimp and makes him work for it with a little help from his family.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I loved this book. So much drama, romance and passion. Much more than I expected.
He was plagued by the death of his brother and father and having to run the family company. Its hard for him to relinquish some of the reigns to his sisters because of his father's will. He's troubled with survivors guilt with the death of his brother because of a car accident and he throws himself in his work. Her main goal is getting a contract to work at his company to sell her clothing but things take a turn and she falls for him. It's a great HEA story.
