This book was entertaining, fun and lighthearted. Abby is a former YouTube star down on her luck. She inherits her aunt’s farm and decides to stay there until she can sell it and get back on her feet. She arrives to find she had a neighbor. Hunter is former military and a definite loner. The two clash from the start as Abby tries to deal with her aunt’s home.

I liked this book. Abby was a bit much to take at times and the story jumped around a bit but it was overall entertaining and a nice escape read. I really liked Hunter and thought he was well-written. I would recommend this quick, small-town read to anyone who is looking for a light-hearted romance or women’s fiction.

Such a heartwarming romance novel. It's one of those novels that make you want to curl up in bed with a cozy quilt.

The main characters in the book are well developed. You have Abby, that you love and hate at the same time. Abby is overly exuberant, a chatterbox, and charming at the same time. Then you have Hunter, who is the stoic, masculine veteran. Abby and Hunter are the most unlikely match up. But what develops between them can be likened to the push-pull of magnets. You'll laugh and you'll cry as the dynamics between Abby and Hunter play out in their love-hate relationship.

Summer on Honeysuckle Ridge will tug at your heartstrings, make you smile, and want more. How can you not want to know what's in store?

Four stars -- I really liked it. Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this novel in exchange for my honest review.

Abby Everhart's life was going pretty well until she learned her husband was cheating on her and wanted a divorce. She has gone from having money and being a top media influencer to being homeless and out of options. With her marriage over, no home or money to speak of Abby is excited to learn that her great-aunt has left her a home and some property. She can't wait to put it up for sale so she'll have some money and a start to her new future. When she reaches her destination of Highland Falls, North Carolina her world is turn upside down again. The beautiful home she thought she would be selling is actually quite the fixed upper. The yard is overgrown, the roof is leaky, and it appears that a man is living in said property. Hunter can't believe the young woman that has shown up to claim his old friends property. She left most of the land to her niece but gave Hunter the building he lives in and it's surrounding land. Hunter, who is an ex-soldier, just wants to be left alone. The war changed him and he wants to live a solitary life without any undo interruptions. Sparks fly when the two meet, Hunter doesn't want to aid this helpless woman but he can't help himself. Abby doesn't want to like this grizzly man that has come into her life but the feelings that keep popping up make it hard. Neither of the two want to make huge changes, both have feelings that aren't easily set aside but life has a way of taking a hold an doing as it pleases. Follow as these two soon learn that they need each other to heal and maybe starting over isn't such a bad thing. This was a truly lovely read that had me in stitches one minute and tears the next, I love the emotional ride it took me on and look forward to what comes next. The characters were well written, the location beautiful, and the story line easy to become a part of.

This new series by Debbie Mason is filled with entertaining characters, a delightful small town, a Scottish Betty White look-alike who has the gift of second sight, as well as the Highland Hotties in kilts! I have loved Debbie Mason’s previous small town series and this one promises to be just as captivating and touching. I couldn’t put it down!

This was my first book by Debbie Mason, but not my last!

Another great book by Debbie Mason. This book has great characters and a wonderful story line. From the beginning of the book to the very end you will have a lot of mixed emotions.

I think I laughed and almost cried a lot while reading it. Abby has been through a lot in her lifetime so far, her ex-husband Chandler divorced her for his attorney and then sued Abby so that she had nothing. She lived in her car with her little yorkie named Bella. Then her ex's housekeeper told her that she had inherited her Aunt Liz's house in Highland Falls. So Abby takes off to see about the house with the intention of selling it.

When she gets there she finds the house is rundown and in need of a lot of repairs that she can't afford to do. Then she finds out that all she owns is the house and the land in front and behind it. Hunter owns the rest.

Abby is quite the talker and Hunter is the silent type. But Abbey works her magic on him and brings him back into town and around his family.

An awesome story that will have you sitting on the edge of your chair wondering what she is going to do next

I always look forward to a book by Debbie Mason. First of all, all of the covers of her books are absolutely beautiful! It makes you imagine what it would be like to live in that place.
Her books always give you an escape from reality. Whenever I finish one of Debbie's books, I can't wait to read the next one!

With each book she writes, Debbie Mason further cements her place on my author auto-buy list. I enjoyed her Christmas, Colorado series and fell in love with her Harmony Harbor characters and their journeys to love. I was so sad to see Harmony Harbor end and skeptical that Mason could create new characters I would love as much as the Gallaghers and DiRossis but, you know what? I just finished reading an ARC of Summer on Honeysuckle Ridge, the (May 26) book that will launch her new Highland Falls series, and she's done it again. Abby just may be my favorite Mason heroine ever. She's so much more than what she initially appears. Learning what she has overcome made me like and admire her even more and discovering the full story of how her dog, Bella came to live with her made her someone I'd want to be best friends with for life. I loved watching her evolution throughout the book. I'm a total pushover for a brooding alpha hero with a gentle side and a tortured soul. Hunter checked all my boxes...and Abby's too. They're so good together and I cannot wait to see more of them (hopefully) as the series continues.

I'm already invested in this small mountain town and the people who live there. I can't wait to find out what Mason has in store for them and the town of Highland Falls.

If you enjoy multi-layered characters, humor, emotional twists and turns, and heart-tugging romance that will leave you eager for more, I enthusiastically recommend a visit to Highland Falls, North Carolina and Summer on Honeysuckle Ridge.

What a great, fun, feel good book!
Abby is the ultimate city girl, loves her perfect hair, clothes, designer bags and her overall life. After her husband has an affair and wants a divorce, Abby loses everything. Forced to live in her car for six months, she is shocked to learn she has inherited a farm from a great aunt she has never met. With no where else to live, Abby decides to go the farm, fix it up, sell it and get her LA life back. But, things don't always go as planned. Evidently, her aunt left half the farm to Hunter, a man who has lived and worked the farm with her aunt, as well as take care of her when she was sick. Hunter is the complete opposite of Abby, and as the saying goes opposites attract. But in this case, attraction may not be enough.
The banter between all the characters was real, and filled with lots of humor. The story flowed easily, and I really enjoyed it. Looking forward to another book by Debbie Mason.
I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Hunter MacKenzie and Abby Everhart was a love story. The story started out with them as enemies. Read the story.

When city-girl Abby leaves LA for a North Carolina farm, she never expected to stay! She was determined to sell the farm that her great aunt left her and return to LA with the seed money to start over again. Reeling from the end of a marriage to a cheating and vindictive ex-husband, Abby viewed this a her chance for a new beginning.

When Hunter returned to his hometown after leaving the service, he was a broken man. He had lost his best friend in war and his fiancé shortly after returning home. He had lived his life as a hermit ever since. He is devastated when he realizes that the niece who inherited the other half of his friend’s farm is much more than he ever bargained for.

Can a woman who is a bubbly self-starter and a man who has been living as a hermit co-exist on the same property. Could they become more?

Debbie Mason has, once again, written a sweet, charming, and funny romantic tale. Abby and Hunter together are irresistible!

This one wasn’t for me. There were definitely some good parts and funny moments, but the story seemed a little all over the place, and I went in thinking it was a romance, when it was really more of a woman coming into her own. It was in general a good escape, but everything wrapped up so quickly I was frustrated with it by the end.

I am a huge fan of Debbie Mason’s Harmony Harbor series and was so sad when it ended. So I was really excited to start this new series of hers, and it did not disappoint! I loved everything about the quirky heroine Abby, and her storyline, and the relationships she developed in Highland Falls. Hunter is a great character, and I loved learning his story and getting to know his family as the book went along. There is a great cast of secondary characters in this book, and the setting itself felt rich and alive and like another character. Debbie Mason has created another quirky town with wonderful characters that I wish was a real place that I could go visit! I hope there will be many more books in this series to come!

Reading Summer on Honeysuckle Ridge was such an enjoyable experience that I was sad it had to end. Abby's life in LA had imploded and she found out by chance that she had inherited her great aunt's property in Highland Falls, NC. When she arrives at the property, she discovers hunky Hunter also inherited half of the property.

You will want to read about how Abby and Hunter help each other deal with the demons of their pasts in this fun story filled with their two dogs, new friends, and guys in kilts. I look forward to reading more books in this series.

I received a copy of this book to review through NetGalley, but I would have purchased it anyway.

4/5 stars!

The book features a heroine in need of a new start and a grumpy hero who needs to get out of his shell. Surrounded by a wonderful group of secondary characters and two bewitching canine companions, the story gives a good, small-town vibe with moderate angst. Overall, it was a nice story to read, even though there were a couple of places that needs better transitions in my eyes.

**Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the review copy.**

Like a basket of candy, a fresh loaf of bread, and some deep red wine, this is a sweet escape. The characters are likeable, the story does have an emphasis on social media (slight) - but certainly doesn't take away from the story at all.
If you're looking for a great escape and to take your mind off the crazy times of today, this book will cozy up with you and keep you snug.

This is a marvelous first book in the Highland Falls series, and I’m anxiously looking forward to the rest. Abby is living in her car in Los Angeles after a divorce when she finds out she inherited a farm from an aunt she hadn’t seen in years. Her first thought is to fix it up enough to sell and go back to LA. She finds she must deal with Hunter, the man who also inherited part of the farm, and he agrees to help her fix up the house. While living in the town she gains a few friends and more than enough adversaries who don’t want her to sell the farm. Ms Mason’s characters are easy to like and feel like friends. I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley. All opinions expressed are my own.

This is the first book I've read from Debbie Mason, so thanks to NetGalley for introducing me to a new author. This book was so much fun, from the awkward but oh so adorable extroverted heroine, Abby, to the stoic and grumpy introverted hero, Hunter, who, underneath it all, has a heart of gold. I loved seeing them overcome their pasts and finding their HEA. I also adored the supporting cast- the townspeople, Hunter's family, even Abby's sisters who were pretty cute themselves. And the dogs- I loved Wolf and Bella. The way they were described in the story made them come to life and in fact, that happened with the all components of the story itself. This was a well written, descriptive story that builds on a fantastic cast of characters. I definitely will be reading more of this author's books because it provided a great escape from the real world.

This is my first Debbie Mason book and it hit all the points I look for in a good book. I will definitely be checking out more of her books!

Abby has recently inherited her great aunts homestead on Honeysuckle Ridge, which comes at the perfect timing as she’s just now an unemployed media influencer, divorced and living out of her car. She arrives at Honeysuckle Ridge ready to find out what she needs to fix in order to sell as soon as possible. When she arrives, she meets Hunter who is currently living on the property. Neither meet eye to eye. But there’s something about the quirky redhead that Hunter can’t ignore for long.

Oh my gosh, this was so cute. Abbys quirky, but for a legitimate reason. I could picture her being so excited and chatting a mile a minute, barely getting her words out. I loved her as a heroine. Hunters also a great character. He’s got a great heart and personality under his tough exterior. Both Hunter and Abby are so snarky towards each other, and it’s great. They had me laughing numerous times.

I definitely recommend Summer on Honeysuckle Ridge!

I came to this story for a diversion from the news. I stayed for the fabulous story. The couple was a pair of opposites perfect for each other. The supporting characters were a quirky blend of small town folks. I read this in one sitting because I couldn't put it down. I hope this becomes a series, it is well worth the read.
