This book was just so so for me. The description intrigued me but the actual book didn’t capture my attention at all.

This book was so good. I didn't to put it down! The characters were well rounded, and the storyline sucked you into it and made you feel like you were really there. The author did an great job telling this story.

I am always excited when I find a new author. After reading this fabulous book i quickly went to the author’s book list and put all her books on my TBR pile. This story had all the elements of a perfect historical inspirational romance. The author’s writing style is simple yet it flows well and i had a difficult time putting this book down. It truly captivated me. The characters were engaging and fun to read about. I especially appreciated how she developed the main characters. If you enjoy a good Jane Austen novel you will enjoy this author’s tale.

Juliet’s mouth cracked me up—I loved how she just couldn’t help blurting out things that no one else would dare say to a duke. Halstead’s character was so intriguing, and I loved how Juliet helped draw him out and how she didn’t see him as less because of his injury. I also loved the moments when his tender side came out. I didn’t love the fact that when trouble arises, Juliet did the cliché thing and didn’t tell him what was going on—and yet, the way the story ended (which wouldn’t have been possible if she had told him) was so good that it totally took my irritation with the lack of communication away. This was the first book I’ve read by Heidi Kimball; it definitely won’t be the last!

A pretty cover and intriguing synopsis intrigued me enough to give this book a try but I was not prepared for how utterly delightful it would turn out to be. Thank goodness I had nothing else planned for the day because I did not leave the house until I had turned the last page. Juliet is a smart heroine who has a hard time holding in her true thoughts. An orphan, she is counting down the days until she of age and can take back control of hers and her brother’s lives from her domineering aunt. She is stuck tagging along on a visit as her cousin is introduced to a possible match. She doesn’t expect to meet with the reclusive duke in residence, who has shunned others since an accident -duke who is cranky, disagreeable, and yet still so distracting. I just loved this book. The characters are wonderful and their interactions were so fun to read as they tried to figure out what drew them to each other. I will definitely be looking for others by this author.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I don't think I can really properly describe just how much I loved Where the Stars Meet the Sea. It was truly a joy to read. I got lost in a world of reading this story and I did not want it to end. The story has such a great flow and pacing to it. I found myself getting lost in the pages and not even realizing or caring how much time was passing. Fair warning, don't start the book unless you have time to finish it, you won't want to put it down! The book keeps your attention with almost constant action, moving from scene to scene, conversation to conversation and not falling prey to the pitfalls of tedious continued repetitive inner thoughts and feelings, etc., that some other books have that you feel like you just want to skip over. There was none of that in this book, thus making it so fun and interesting to read. The characters were well written and developed and you felt like you really got to know them throughout the story. Their emotions and chemistry jumped right off the page and you could feel what they were going through. Where the Stars Meet the Sea is a wonderful read filled with swoony heroes, emotional angst and heart wrenching decision making- do you reach for what your heart wants or instead do what makes logical sense and is for everyone else's good? Is it worth the sacrifice? Juliet's journey was an emotional one but the hardships made her happy ending all that much sweeter. I would definitely recommend this book and plan to read it again. The scenery was well described and makes you wish you could see if for yourself. I thought that this book was historically accurate, as well.

Loved this novel from start to finish. I even got teared up near the end. The characters were wonderful, with enough for everyone to find one they loved. The heroine did cause me problems as she couldn't decide between complacency and stubbornness. Regardless, the book was one I already want to read again!

I enjoyed this sweet and clean romance! A sassy heroine and a stubborn man. Loved it! I only wish that her aunt had gotten her comeuppance in the end.

A beautiful story that grabs you from page one. I found the Duke to be almost a caricature of a disgruntled Duke at the beginning of the story, but the more we learn about him, the more his behavior makes sense. I loved that the secondary characters are all well fleshed out without overwhelming the primaries - I could easily envision each of them having their own books.

Heidi Kimball's latest novel has everything going for it: strong and memorable characters and plot, elegant but unobtrusive descriptions, a healthy helping of humor, deeply felt emotional struggles, and excellent pacing.  With a heart-warming conclusion and symbolic imagery woven throughout, this was a very satisfying read!

I received a complimentary copy of this book.  All opinions are my own.
