This is such an enjoyable read. It is the sort of book that you read with a smile on your face. I think it is mainly because of the humour which is there all the time, just beneath the surface, during most of Milla and Nic's conversations and also in some of the situations which Milla gets herself into. All the characters are totally likeable and credible. The setting is as gorgeous as it could be and in all, it just turned out to be a really fun read.

I also liked the positive image it gave to disability and inclusion. I can't say anymore without giving away some plot spoilers but it takes an unsentimental view and a heart-warming tone. It certainly isn't the first book I have read this year which is set in Cornwall and featured weddings but it still has a fresh and fun feel and makes me want to look out more in the series.

In short: great characters and plenty of fun!

I enjoyed this book as much as I have with all of the other previous Wedding Shop books.
In this book we meet Milla, recently separated from her fiancee and running from her past back to St Aidens. Milla is a wedding blogger so a natural fit at the Wedding Shop. Whilst at a Valentines event she meets Nic who employees her to organise his wedding, but naturally things aren't as they seem and things don't go accordingly to this plan.
There were so many great storylines in this book as Milla tries to find her place back in St Aidens, and we get to see some of the previous characters as they try to help her settle and get what she deserves.
Great writing as usual, and cannot wait for the next one!

Made the mistake of not reading the other books in the series and I think I would have appreciated it more had I done this.

The latter part of the book was lovely but again, because I missed the others. Will have to catch up and work my way through.

I was fortunate to receive a copy of this ARC from NetGalley

I have read the other books in this series but sadly for me this was the weakest. I didn't find Milla a particularly compelling character and found the storyline quite predicable.

My favourite quote:
"She won't put up with lateness, especially from a baby."

I hope I will enjoy the next in the series much better!

Poor Milla has had a terrible time of it lately. She has lost her fiance to her friend and business partner. To top it off, her so-called friend has just given birth to a baby with her ex. She definitely needs some time away, so she returns home to recharge. She has no clue how that one decision will change the direction of her life, both professionally and personally.

Not only is this a romance, but the theme of friendship and support is seen throughout. Milla’s tribe, including Nic have helped her heal and learn to love herself. Even though she feels like she hasn’t helped Nic’s tortured soul, she really has. Is that enough for them to find their HEA? I sure did enjoy watching them fall for each other even if they didn’t realize it at the time.

If you love anything to do with fictional weddings then you will adore this book.

And even if weddings leave you cold, then the characters in this story will warm your heart and possibly turn a cynic into a believer.

It was wonderful not only to be back in St. Aiden but also back at The Little Wedding Shop by the Sea, I think pretty much all of Jane Linfoot's St Aiden's based heroines make an appearance at some point in this story.

But rest assured that this can easily be read as a standalone, as Milla, this book's main character is brand new to the series too.

For a long term fan of the series this felt like coming home, I love those Wedding Shop girls and their friendships and spirit of teamwork.

It was fabulous to see Poppy's wonderful cupcakes, Sera having a small but pivotal role in helping the main bride feel special, Jess being scarily amazing as always.

Then there is Milla who amongst other things is offering a high end bespoke planning service and her big customer is someone who knows nothing about weddings but is putting together one as the bride lacks the time.

I had tears in my eyes at one rather special moment of the book - if you read the book, when you get to that point you will know what I mean - it was just so beautiful and special.

I loved how Millla and Nic interacted at all times.

This was just one highly enjoyable way to spend a few hours, amongst my friends in St. Aiden, and celebrating some lovely weddings.

Thank you to One More Chapter and Netgalley for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

I am a huge fan of Jane Linfoot and have read all the previous books in this series, so I knew it was very unlikely would be disappointed. In this book it’s about Milla returning to St Aidan in Cornwall where she grew up, Milla is broken hearted so while staying in St Aidan she helps in The Little Wedding Shop By The Sea with her little wedding business. Through this she meets Nic, whom she’s organising a weeding for and we follow the not necessarily smooth path this takes. This is book 5 in the series and it’s as good if not better than than the others. It’s a great easy read, with relatable, loving and fun characters, about relationships and friendships and the power of friendships when you most need them. It was full of surprises and twists and made me want to laugh and cry, I really got behind Milla and felt like I knew her. Even though this is book book 5 in the series, you could read this book without having read the others. I also love it because it is based in Cornwall but the story holds its own without its beautiful setting. Can’t wait to read the next instalment and would recommend to everyone, I couldn’t put this down.

A fun romance which I stayed up until 4am to finish.
Some of the situations that arise seem unlikely but are funny nonetheless.

Follows the typical romance genre story line but I enjoyed the descriptions of the setting. A village by the sea, the country houses and castles. A novel filled with feel good moments and near misses.

Will look out the other books in the series, though can completely be read as a stand alone.

**Thanks to netgalley and the publishers for giving me advance access in return for an honest review.

Absolutely perfect read and the escape I have been looking for. This was absolutely superb from start to finish.

This is a fun romance which starts with upset, continues with celebrations and leads on to romance!

Milla has escaped from her usual role at her Bristol business as her business partner and supposed friend is about to give birth to the child she conceived with Ben, who had been Milla’s fiancé for five years. At the Little Wedding Shop by the Sea, love is definitely high on the agenda. In this heartwarming story, a bride doesn’t want to know anything about her own wedding, leaving Nic to plan it all for her. Nic initially doesn’t apparently want to work with Milla but the wedding for Pixie needs sorting so get ready for lots of laughter, fun and love in this delightful read! As getting Nic to actually make any decisions proves to be very difficult and the sparks are definitely flying between him and Milla. Can they get the wedding of Pixie’s dreams sorted? Can they resist their attraction to each other?

It is a story packed with humour, there’s lots of feelings of guilt, betrayal and turmoil to be overcome but the ending is one to put a huge smile on your face as love really will find a way . . . even if it does take time! With special pyjamas, useful towels, a dear dog and so many dreams, this is a delightful story to escape into and I can’t wait to read more about the ladies involved in this special shop and other books by this talented author. It is a story to have you giggling at some of the incidents long after you read the book!

Many thanks for the copy of this book which I have voluntarily read and honestly reviewed.

One of the authors I regularly recommend for fantastically vivid, bright, fun books and conversely don’t read enough of is Jane Linfoot and this book reminded me exactly of that!!

We begin with an encounter that had me smiling and settling in, praying that there was to be more like this (there was!). I’m always a fan of anything to do with weddings and was intrigued to hear of how weddings had changed from lavish princess affairs to more modern, eco friendly one, where brides wore long sleeved dresses than gowns and I wished (oh how I wished!) that I had read the first few books in this series to see how this particular wedding business had operated and also whether the betrayal by a best friend at the beginning of the book (in so many ways-I was incandescent with rage on hearing she’d robbed a potential baby name!!!) had been ‘seen’ by readers previously.

I beyond enjoyed every second of this book- the detail, the brightness, the warmth and general unputdowness that had me turning the pages to the final ‘ps!’

Very much recommended but definitely go back to the start of the series! Thanks so much to Rachel at Rachel’s Random Resources for the book in return for an honest review and for allowing me to be part of the blog tour.

I read this book as part of the blog tour hosted by Rachel's Random Resources. Thanks to Netgalley and One More Chapter for the e-ARC in exchange for an honest review. 3.5 stars

This is the second book I've read by Jane Linfoot and I'm happy to say that I really enjoyed it! Although it's part of a series, this can definitely be read as a standalone as the characters in each book are different, but we do get cameo appearances from the "original" characters including Poppy (who is the connector), as well as Immie and the other wonderful ladies of the wedding shop. This was a sweet, slow-burning and swoon-worthy friends-to-lovers romance with relatable and likeable characters, as well as wonderful friendships! Not to mention that with her love of food, Milla's story might just make you a little bit hungry while reading 😉

I really liked both Milla and Nic. My heart went out to Milla after she was put through the wringer by her "best friend"/business partner and ex-fiancé who "accidentally" hook up. They were such despicable characters who gaslighted Milla for years, and made me so angry! Milla definitely deserved all the good that came her way after putting up with them. As corny as it sounds, I loved seeing her literally bloom as she spent more time in a safe and supporting environment with people who genuinely cared for her. Her growth as she transforms from this timid young woman who constantly doubts herself to someone who realises her worth and takes charge of her business and life, had me screaming "yes, girl! get it!" It was so satisfying! Plus, I love how Nic supported her. He was definitely one swoon-worthy hero that I enjoyed reading about. He genuinely cared about Milla and often showed his support by just actively listening and being a pillar for her to lean on when she needed it. His relationship with his sister was also wonderful and these types of sibling relationships get to me every time!

That said, my favourite aspect of this series so far definitely has to be the friendships. I love to see women supporting women and this story definitely had my heart soaring in that respect. Seeing how everyone rallied around Milla and propped her up without being overbearing or taking over, and seeing these strong and driven women come together for the community and for their friend was so great! I really wish we'd see more of these strong and empowering friendships in books!

There was one big sticking point that did leave me feeling exasperate up until the 40% mark in the book. Without giving away spoilers, the 'miscommunication' trope took up a good chunk of the first half in a way that felt unrealistic; actually, it'd be more accurate to say the omission of a crucial piece of information related to the wedding. I tried hard to suspend my disbelief but it took so long for that "truth" to come out when there were alarm bells ringing for a while by then, that it just made it a little too unbelievable. I'm really glad that it didn't take longer for the truth to come out though!

TL;DR: Despite having a fairly predictable plot (nothing wrong with that!), it was still a wholly enjoyable story with likeable characters and loveable friendships. Milla and Nic were a sweet couple who I was rooting hard for! Not to mention that the friendships in this book will definitely warm your heart. I definitely recommend this cozy romance to the romantics out there who love a good story full of heart!

This is the first book I have read by this author and found it very enjoyable. Well written and absorbing. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher.

I love wedding related things and despite being married for 13 years I can still be found pouring over cakes, dresses and all things wedding related. I'm also a huge fan of romances set by the sea and in quaint villages so for me, this book ticked all my happy boxes.
I haven’t made the trip to St Aiden previously, but it didn’t take long before I felt at home amongst the many colourful characters and village life. This definitely will not be my one and only visit.
Mila is visiting St Aidan on a working holiday after a difficult time (the details of which are slowly released into the narrative). She is surrounded by friends and quite quickly accepted into the community and despite many amusing mishaps, she begins to prove her skills in the wedding industry. I loved the backstage view of wedding planning and really enjoyed learning about the ins and outs. Milla begins to re-discover her worth through throwing herself into supporting The Little Wedding Shop and my heart warmed with each step of her journey. The last of the
St Aidan is a beautiful setting for a wedding/romance themed plot, and I was swept away by the beauty of it. The harbour, beach and village were all described vividly, and I am desperate to explore more.
A humorous and heart-warming novel that took me on an emotional roller coaster. Adorable characters, beautiful setting and a page turning plot makes this a wonderful and highly recommended novel.

This is the first book in this series that I’ve read and while I enjoyed it I think I would have got a lot more from it had I read the previous books first. If you’re interested in the series I would suggest starting at the beginning.

I found the story took a while to get going but I think that may be because I wasn’t familiar with the characters as once I became more familiar with them and their various roles, the story became easier to follow. There’s a lot of detail and discussion about weddings as you would expect and I feel now that I know a lot of the pitfalls of weddings and a few of the things that can go wrong.

I wasn’t sure about Milla or Nic at the beginning and it took time for me to warm to them. It’s not that I didn’t like Nic but I found him frustrating, he seemed to want to plan a wedding but not make any decisions about it. However the star of the show for me has to be the location. The Cornish coast, the beaches and the sea and also the many wedding venue options that were visited were amazing. The descriptions of walking on the beach in the breezy sunshine made me want to head off there immediately.

I think if you’ve read the previous books you’ll enjoy this one but if you’ve not I would suggest starting with book one. It’s definitely an immersive experience of weddings, I just feel I would have preferred some previous knowledge of the characters.

Love at the Little Wedding Shop by the Sea is Book 5 in the Little Wedding Shop by the Sea series written by Jane Linfoot. I wholeheartedly recommend reading all the books in the series in order as its a gorgeous, uplifting set of stories. Every time I pick up and read a new book in this series I think it’s the best one yet and yet again Jane Linfoot has written her best story yet (in my humble opinion) with Love at the Little Wedding Shop by the Sea. I galloped through this book as I was desperate to know what hurdle lovely Milla was going to face next and as the end of the story was approaching I wanted to slow down and savour every last word as it was just perfect!

This is Milla’s story; a close childhood friend of the girls from the wedding shop who moved to Bristol five years ago when her mum sadly passed away. Milla has escaped Bristol after a very eventful year when her heart was left in pieces and her working life is also in a precarious position. Milla is going to work with the girls at the wedding shop to give her heart and mind chance to recover. However, what Milla didn’t have in mind was for her heart to be jolted awake by local yachtsman Nic. With her new role she is left working closely with Nic and her heart refuses to calm down whilst he is around.

Can Milla’s heart cope with anymore complications?

This is a story that’s filled with light hearted humour, great banter between old and new friends, nostalgia, warmth and a campervan full of the type of romance that makes your heart sing!!!

Milla is such a wonderful character. I've really enjoyed reading about her in this exceptional book. I've enjoyed a few Jane Linfoot books over the past few months, Love at the Little Wedding Shop by the Sea is no different. It was filled with joy and heartache. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this latest installment of the Wedding Shop by the sea series. I look forward to reading more.

Milla is our central character, and she’s an engaging, interesting person. Also hurting, as this St Valentine’s Day sees the arrival of the baby of her ex-boyfriend and her business partner, Phoebe. To rub salt in the wound, Phoebe has even pinched the name Milla had earmarked for her own use in the future.

So Milla loses herself in her work, and comes into contact with Nic. He’s a fun character, who is upbeat and confident, if occasionally a little too full of himself. He’s a good foil for Milla, who lacks confidence at times.

The story is entertaining and fresh, and the setting atmospheric and charming. Characters gel or spark to give us some interesting interactions, and they all develop. Action is steady with the right amount of tension here and there to keep us thoroughly hooked.

All in all it’s a very enjoyable story, which you can read any time of year, not just around St Valentine’s Day.

This was a lovely uplifting read. I haven’t dipped into this series since the first book, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I’m just not a “series” reader – I am notorious for buying lots of books in the series after reading the first & then it takes me ages to return to the rest!

Anyway, this is one series I’m glad I’ve returned to! Although a series, it works well as a standalone novel. This book focuses on Mila, and her repairing her life after she finds out her ex boyfriend and old friend are having a baby.

Mila decides to escape to Cornwall and throw herself into improving the wedding shop. But will Nic distract her from this focus?

I enjoyed this book and Mila is a believable, likeable character. There is a nice mix of emotional and funny moments in the book!

A perfect read and series for fans of cosy chick lit.
