Delightful little story with a dual timeline. The Andrew Henning timeline is my favorite still, as it has been through the whole series. I just couldn't get enough of his story and I really wanted it to be longer! Wow, but they had to deal with a lot of heartache, especially during WW2 years.

The contemporary timeline is just as heartfelt as a baker and a businessman try to sort through some serious life issues. They are real issues and it doesn't seem like both characters can possibly get what they want out of life. But do they really want what is best for them? Both have worthy motives.

Likeable characters made it so easy to root for a happy ending. Delightful book that I gobbled in a single day!

How Sweet It Is was a really good and sweet story. I felt for the characters and hoped they would find some resolution. The romance was nice and seemed to move along at a good pace.

All in all, How Sweet It Is was a great read and I think fans of contemporary romance will enjoy it.

I found this story to be just too slow for me and somewhat repetitive. I just could not get into the story and I tired after a few times. I am sure others will really enjoy this book.

I'm kind of sad this series is over. I enjoyed Andrew Henning and his posterity's stories. This was a beautiful series about faith, trust and family. I really enjoyed Jed's story and how much the Lord and family worked in his life. I loved the connections he found. Holly is a wonderful person in a tough situation. I loved seeing her selfless heart and her struggle to trust. This was a beautiful story and a good end to the series.

I received a complimentary copy from the publisher through Netgalley and this is my honest review.

This was such a sweet, lovely story! Holly and Jed find themselves at a place neither of them expected—he has temporarily relocated to Boise from Washington to find his errant brother; she is drowning in debt and full of regrets for a past relationship. Somehow, their common goals bring them together and they break down each other’s walls. Meanwhile, we flash back to see Andrew and Helen Henning, Jed’s great grandparents, in their retirement days during the tumultuous 1960s. It was so enjoyable to see their romance story come full circle, and see where many of the Bible markings might have come from. I truly wish we had seen a little more of Holly and Jed together, and the story seemed a bit abbreviated in that respect. Overall, it was a great read that wraps up the Legacy of Faith series. I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley and was under no obligation to write a review.

It shares the story of a family Bible being passed through cousins after having been passed down from their great grandfather. Interspersed is the great grandfather’s story in a sort of time slip/diary sort of way through the pages of the Bible. I love how Robin weaved the stories together especially the last two books. This one just speaks to your soul in a way that is hard to explain. I highly recommend it!

How Sweet It Is By Robin Lee Hatcher is book 3 in the Legacy of Faith series. This book is such a sweet, inspiring novel. I especially loved its themes of reconciliation and second chances. Readers of Christian romance will adore this book. Ms Hatcher is a wonderful author. I think this is the perfect summer or beach read. I received a digital copy of this book from the publisher with no obligations. These opinions are entirely my own.

This is a first for me from this author and I really liked this story. I am happy I can go back to read the other books in this series too.
This story starts out in the present with Jed Henning trying to figure out how to get his younger brother Chris to talk to him and how they can get back to being brothers. Instead of always fighting. When Jed goes to visit cousins, he is given old family photos, letters, and his great-grandfather's Bible. As with most Bibles, there are notes, passages marked, and anything Andrew (his great grandfather) would want to find easily. Jed learns a lot from reading those passages and looking at those old photos and letters. It is about finding himself and learning to trust in himself, and his brother. There is a lot to love about this story, I especially love the time going back to visit with Andrew and Helen, in this book the time is 1969-1970 and it is bittersweet.
"I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own."

Did not finish this book. I couldn’t get into the style of writing and the characters fell flat. It just wasn’t my cup of tea.

How sweet it is was a book that had me hooked from the very first word. I love reading books that connect together with two time periods.

I loved Andrew and Helen story that was set in 1969 to 1970. They had such an amazing love story. Helen has health problems they learn to deal with. Andrew is such a strong man and close to God. Andrew and Helen story really touched my heart.

In present time, there is Holly and Jed story. Holly is trying to get past with what happened with her ex and Jed is dealing with family.

The characters were so real to me, I could visualize what they were doing. I loved how Holly was trying make it work out with the restaurant. The cooking classes were great. Jed was trying his best to get closer to his brother.

I received a complimentary copy of the book from Prism book tours. I was not required to write an positive review.

How Sweet It Is was the third book and last book in the Legacy of Faith series and the first I've read by this author. It was a heart-warming sweet romance with great characters. I loved the storyline and the family's history that was included in the story.

As soon as I picked up the book I thought it would be a story that mixed a little emotion and a little bit of laughter but I started to see the inspiration in the Parable of the Prodigal Son and I realized how it would be more emotional.

Jed is a workaholic who has always had serious fights with his irresponsible little brother. Now the brother is gone and nobody knows where he went and his father wants Jed to drop everything to find out what's going on with Chris.

Jed then leaves in search of his brother and ends up meeting the sweet Holly, a confectioner who is heartbroken after the betrayal of her ex fiance and this unexpected encounter ends up changing their lives.

At first, I was irritated with the father's way of acting with the two brothers, supporting the irresponsible and scolding the other one. As the story progressed, Jed's reading of his great-grandfather's diary somewhat eased the anger I felt towards his father, yet I still thought that the writer could have better developed the meeting of the brothers and the union with the father.

The romance is good and sweet just like the title.

3/5 stars

I’ve never read a book from Robin Lee Hatcher that I didn’t love, and that includes this one. It’s a sweet, romantic and heart-touching story that’s the perfect ending to this series. These characters seemed to come to life, and I felt as if I’d known all of them. The thread of faith that runs throughout this book and the series is inspiring. Holly and Jed’s stories will keep you turning pages, and you’ll be encouraged by the time you finish to the book, that you, too, will see the grace of God working in your life.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

Romance and faith help Holly and Jed find their way. Faith and love help Andrew through his life, as he looks back while trying to continue moving forward.

Jed comes to Boise to find his brother and mend their relationship. When his cousin gives him a bunch of old family photos and his great-grandpa Andrew’s bible, he is drawn to his great-grandfather’s life of faith. He finds himself renting a basement apartment that his great-grandfather had rented as a young newlywed.

Meanwhile, Holly is trying to hold it together, running her new business after her fiancé left her. Renting the apartment to Jed will help, but will their growing relationship help or hurt her more?

Throughout Holly and Jed’s story, Andrew’s story is woven – an elderly man learning to live life differently as he and his wife age, and he can no longer work the farm.

This is a sweet, romantic tale of faith, hope, and love. Although this is book three, I didn’t read the others first. It didn’t feel like I missed anything since they were different main characters. I did have a bit of trouble keeping track of the different relatives and relationships.

This sweet story of family drama, and baked goods is set in Idaho, which felt like a home a bit for me as I live in a neighboring state. I loved how it delved into the struggles that each character faced, I wished for a little more in depth storyline into one character or another than it went into. Overall, it was an enjoyable, easy read.

Simple and sweet, but it was really slow for me. I tried to get into this book and enjoy it, but had a difficult time. The split time element really threw me. I haven't read previous books and I think you need to read those first.

Hatcher writes from the heart of her characters and their struggles, insecurities, passions, mistakes and triumphs, of which we all experience. I love how she has passed simple bits of wisdom down Throughout generations and the family bible. So much has changed yet the words are the same and applicable whether the 1930’s or today. Simple; sweet romance and life lessons we all need to be reminded of.

Another sweet Christian Romance from Robin Lee Hatcher in the Legacy of Faith series. With Robin’s books you know you are going to get a sweet story with a happy ending but not an easy path to that happy ending. Her books tend to mirror real life, meaning the characters don’t have an easy go of it.

In Robin Lee Hatcher's Hot Sweet It Is, the third installment in the Legacy of Faith inspirational romance series, this beautiful dual timeline story would warm your heart deep down inside. For Jed Henning, he was set out to go to Boise, Idaho to look for his estranged brother Chris. Jed's a workaholic and runs a computer company and rents a downstairs apartment from Holly Stanford. Holly is dealing with a broken heart and had run into financial issues with her restaurant. At first, Holly and Jed become friends and get to know each other better. She also helps abusive women learn how to cook in a shelter and plan her sister's wedding. While Jed looks for Chris, he reads his great-grandfather Andrew Henning's Bible as we're transported back into time to 1969 when Andrew deals with farm life, his wife's Helen's ailment and his own back pain and other family issues. Between the both timelines, they learn to trust each other and to have faith in God's plans with an emotional climax in the end.

How Sweet It Is was written by Robin Lee Hatcher. It is the third book in the A Legacy of Faith series. It is not necessary to have read the other books in the series in order to enjoy this book.

Summary: Holly Stanford is tired and discouraged. She owns and runs a restaurant she doesn’t really want, the bills are piling up, and all she wanted to ever do was pursue her dream of baking specialty desserts. And all of it is because she trusted the wrong person. She won’t be doing THAT again.

Jed Henning is boiling mad. His wayward brother is causing problems once again, and their father has issued an ultimatum-fix it, or else.

Forced to track his brother down, he returns to his family’s old stomping grounds in Idaho. And while he waits for his brother to return his calls, Jed finds himself sifting through old family photos, and learning more about his own history.

Curiosity leads him to rent the very basement apartment his relatives once lived in-an apartment now owned by Holly Stanford.

An unmistakable bond begins to grow between the two neighbors, but can Jed convince Holly to take a chance on him after all she’s been through?

And what about Jed’s brother? Is there a way to fix that broken relationship, or is it just too late after all?

My Thoughts: This book is a sweet romance, and I liked it. It was interesting to get little peeks into Jed’s family past, and I felt the author did an excellent job tying the past to the present, as well as showing how the characters were able to work through some of their issues. It was definitely a fun and easy read.
