How Sweet It Is is the very sweet third book in the Legacy of Faith series. Like its predecessors, it combines the present day story of two people meeting and falling in love with the continuation of the story of the Henning family, set in the late 1960s. It is faith filled and an endearing tale of family, belonging and love.

Holly just wants to bake. Instead she has been left with a restaurant to run and crippling debt, thanks to a fiancé who left her just before their wedding. Jed is a successful businessman but is father has given him an ultimatum: make it right with his brother or sell the business. Jed travels to Idaho to try to reconnect with his brother and his family’s past and finds himself renting the same basement apartment his great grandfather, Andrew Henning, once lived in. For Holly, it’s a blessing to be able to finally rent the apartment and gain some much needed income. But she is drawn to Jed and isn’t sure she should trust herself to be in a relationship again.

There is no doubt that this is Christian Fiction. The faith, prayer, scripture, church, community and belief is evident in every chapter. Some Christian fiction doesn’t reference faith aside from a few prayers or themes, but not so in this book. Both the present day characters and the characters from the past rely heavily on God and reflect and want to grow in their faith.

Andrew Henning’s story, set in 1969, is a wonderful reflection of the modern day love story. I love how Hatcher has woven the threads of the two generations together, as she has done in the previous two novels in this series. Readers of the first two books will no doubt enjoy the continuation of Andrew Henning’s story, but new comers to the series should be able to follow along without too much confusion.

Maybe it was just the cover, but I kind of expected more baking in this book. It is Holly’s dream to be a baker and to run a bakery, but she is so busy with everything else she doesn’t really do much baking aside from a failed cake, a wedding cake and some cupcakes. Holly has a lot going on in her life and this book really digs deep into her past hurts and failed relationship. Alongside running a struggling restaurant, she is facing a lot of debt and carrying a lot of hurt and self doubt from her failed engagement. She struggles to trust Jed. Again, I thought there would be more time spent between them working to save her restaurant or perhaps launching a bakery, as his skill set seemed so perfect for her need, but this doesn’t happen at all. Instead the two slowly get to know each other and the story is more focused on family and emotions than the business.

This is a delightful addition to the Legacy of Faith series, perfect for readers who enjoy faith-focused Christian fiction and a mix of historical and contemporary fiction.

The publishers provided an advanced readers copy of this book for reviewing purposes. All opinions are my own.

4.5- Boy, Robin's books pack an emotional punch. Her characters and their life situations are so real, they really come alive. The book is told in alternating chapters between present time with Jed and Holly and the past with Jed's great-great grandpa Andrew (focusing on Andrew and his beloved wife Helen's life/love). The 'past' chapters were short, but the love Andrew and Helen have for each other and for Christ is something to aspire to. #relationshipgoals Sweet and sometimes heart-wrenching, don't miss this latest by Robin Lee Hatcher.

PS- this is book three in the Legacy of Faith series, but I haven't read either of the first two and I wasn't lost at all. Some of the characters from previous books make an appearance, but this book can be read as a standalone.

Thanks Netgalley for the ARC! All opinions are my own and are unbiased.

Love, love, love this author!!! Robin Lee Hatcher is one of my favorite authors & this book did not disappoint! I started this book & couldn't put it down until I finished it!

Holly Stanford inherits a restaurant from her uncle & her fiancee, Nathan, supposedly wants to help her make it successful. When Nathan leaves her, Holly is left to try to make it a go on her own. Jed Henning is a successful businessman but when his brother (who he is in business with) leaves, Jed's dad suspends the business until Jed finds his brother & reconciles with him. The twists and turns in the book which ultimately help Jed find Chris are great and the storyline holds a person's attention. The history of the Henning family is also intertwined in the story with Jed's great grandparents as principal characters.

I loved this book & am thankful for the opportunity that the publisher, Thomas Nelson, and Net Galley gave me to read this advanced copy of this book! I highly recommend this book!

Jed wants to reconcile with his brother Chris, and while searching for him discovers a lot of truths about himself and his part in their difficult relationship. Holly is stuck trying to run a restaurant she inherited instead of following her dream to make wonderful bakery concoctions. They meet when Jed rents the downstairs apartment from her. Neither one of them is looking for a relationship, but God has other plans.

This latest installment of the Legacy of Faith continues to give us a glimpse of Andrew Henning's notes in his well-worn bible and the impact it has on his descendants. The parallel storyline from 1930 to current day adds a real depth to the story and helps tie it all together. I like how the book felt complete, even though it contained characters and situations in the previous books in this series.

A sweet Christian novel focused on faith, family, and romance. Although the first book in the series is my favorite, I still recommend this book to readers of Christian fiction. The flashbacks to Andrew Henning's story were some of my favorite parts of the series. A great conclusion to the Legacy of Faith series.

I received a complimentary copy of this book and was not required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are mine.

I've enjoyed this series throughout and was eager to read this next installment. It follows a pretty basic contemporary romance formula with lots of issues of faith, family, etc. thrown in. I still enjoyed the common theme of the family Bible and dual timeline between present and the great grandfather who the Bible originally belonged to. Very much a Christian inspirational read and while it wasn't an "I couldn't put it down' read, it was an enjoyable diversion with a likeable cast. Not too heavy or deep, but many references to Bible verses and personal beliefs.

This book is a Christian novel and was so good. A weaving of love for family and working on relationships. A novel set in the present time and seen through the eyes of one of the characters great grandfathers, back in the sixties. I loved reading both of the stories and got caught up in Holly and her love of sixties music and dancing in the kitchen. Jed trying to heal old wounds. Andrew and Helen and their tender story of trying to run a farm and the worries of that time period. A great read that I enjoyed reading.

This was not identified as a religious or Christian genre of book. While I’m not a religious person, I don’t mind reading about characters who have strong religious beliefs, but this one was just too much for me. There were passages talking about the characters’ faith and Biblical inspirations on an average of just about every three pages. I found myself skimming after a while just to get back to the plot which was basically the standard sort of romance with two characters who have personal reasons for not wanting to commit to a long-term relationship, but finding reasons to overcome those barriers when they meet The One. I enjoyed that part of the plot and the story of the male protagonist coming to grips with his poor relationship with his younger brother. I could have done with more of that and the dial turned down for the religious elements.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book that I received from Netgalley;
however, the opinions are my own and I did not receive any compensation for my review.

Overall, I'd say I enjoyed this book and the whole series. It didn't suck me in to the point where I just had to keep reading and couldn't put it done, but it did keep my attention enough to keep reading at a nice pace. Of the whole series, I will say that I loved this cover the most and since one of my secret wishes is to be a baker (thanks to so many televised baking shows), I really liked that Holly loved to bake and wanted that to be her career. I wish we had gotten to see more of that, but I understand that we didn't get to because the author was trying to portray how taxing running the restaurant was on her time and money.

One thing I really liked about How Sweet It Is (and the rest of the series too) is how natural the timing of it felt. I have read a lot of romance novels and sometimes it feels like they go from strangers to married in two days. I didn't feel that here and I really appreciate that. Even though the characters themselves were concerned they were falling too soon, I didn't feel rushed as the reader. This is a clean and sweet book with a good amount of Christian faith woven in through the generations of the Henning family.

Across all three books, you get to learn more about Andrew Henning, who serves as the patriarch of the family of the other characters you read about. Each chapter concludes with a piece of his story so you see him and his family (who end up being grandparents or great-grandparents to the main characters of the modern day stories). It follows him from the 1920s in Who I Am with You all the way up to the 70s in How Sweet It Is. In the modern day stories, I enjoyed that we got to see more of Ben and Ashley from Cross My Heart in this book, but I would have loved to see more of Jessica and Ridley from Who I Am with You as well. I really like seeing characters from previous stories when I'm reading a connected series.

I received a complimentary copy of this book, but I am leaving an honest and voluntary review.

This book is the 3rd in the Legacy Of Faith series. It is a Christian novel which I didn’t realize when I requested it. Not my usual choice of books, but I did enjoy it. The book goes back and forth from the present with Jed and Holly then back to Jeds great Grandparents. There are a lot of Bible verses woven into the story. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.

How Sweet It Is, is the third book in a Legacy of Faith following the Henning family. Holly Stanford is struggling to keep her business Sweet Caroline afloat after Nathan, her ex-fiancée leaves her. She is trying to keep her faith in God that somehow everything will work out, and someday, someday she will get to return to her passion for baking cakes, etc.
Jed Henning has come to Boise, Idaho to find his brother, Chris, not because he wants to but because his father has pretty much ordered him to do so. In the beginning, Chris doesn’t make himself available to Jed, but he keeps trying to reach him, despite his original misgivings about reaching out to his younger brother.
This was a sweet story, albeit the name of the novel! It is about trust, forgiveness, and remembering that God works out everything for good, even though at the time it doesn’t quite seem like it will ever be. I enjoyed this and found myself endeared to both Jed and Holly. They learned from each other through their own trials and were able to give glory to the One who brought them together.
My gratitude to NetGalley and Thomas Nelson for a free copy. All opinions expressed are my own.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy for an honest review. This is a christian book that goes back in forth in time to the present with Jed and Holly and Jed's great grandparents Andrew and Helen. This book mentions bible verses that are intertwined all so perfectly. Jed is looking for his brother, needing to fix his relationship to appease his father. Jed has some anger issues toward is wondering irresponsible brother. Holly is a baker running a restaurant that her ex left her to fix the mess he left behind. Jed and Holly worked together to get past their issues and build a loving relationship. This is a well written christian story. Highly recommend!

I love Robin Lee Hatcher y’all and I am sticking with this story. This book focuses on two broken people in need of a little healing. So we meet Jed in the story a very good businessman with an estranged brother *sad face emoji* and Molly a baker, very distraught restaurant owner and broken-hearted (she even has a cute adorbs cat) and we have amazing characters in the book too *gasp* This book reminded me of the story of the Prodigal Son and what scared me was the fact that I related with Molly (struggling business owner in need of her business to touch the hem). Robin is a genius as we also get to read about the fictional grandfather I didn’t know I needed in my life. If you are into clean addicting romance READ THIS BOOK.

This is my first Robin Lee Hatcher book and I am now a huge fan! Sometimes a novel comes into your life at the perfect time and, "How Sweet It Is", touched me to my core. Along with a compelling story the author included scriptures and prayers that brought me to my knees and made me sob. The Bible verses of The Prodigal Son gave me hope for the future. A must read for lovers of Christian Romances.

This books was a wonderful story. I can understand the brothers broken relationship. The desire to try to mend the relationship is not the character's first goal; he just wants his company back. As the story continues, he realizes that he wants more than that. I really liked the story and the characters.

How Sweet It Is, the last book in the Legacy of Faith Trilogy by Robin Lee Hatcher is a a wonderful read about connections of family and God. It was a little slow starting for me but definitely got more interesting the more I read. It is a Christian view of how as life gets tough and we are wrapped up in out own lives, that if we open our eyes we will see how we are all intertwined in God's purpose for our lives. And how coincidences can be God working and not just happenstance. A very good thought provoking read.

A lovely, clean Christian romance novel with some history tossed in. I really enjoyed the way the author presented the Christian beliefs, in small, relatable ways instead of beating the reader over the head with sermons and Bible verses.

How Sweet It Is is the third and final novel in Robin Lee Hatcher's Legacy of Faith series. While I would certainly recommend the rest of the series as well---it's fantastic--- this can definitely be read as a standalone. While there are familiar characters from previous novels who make an appearance in this one, it's not necessary to have read their story to understand this book.

If ever there was an appropriately titled book, this one would certainly be it. It is a fantastically sweet romance, and a sweet (though much too soon) conclusion to the series. In this story, the Bible of Andrew Henning has once again been passed along- this time to his great-great-grandson Jed. He has come to Boise to find and reconcile with his brother and finds himself renting out the apartment his great great grandparents at the start of their marriage--- an apartment owned by Holly, a woman who'd had her trust broken once before and was not on the search for romance. As all great love stories go, you can predict what happens next. It was a sweet story, truly fitting it's title. Of all the previous books, I liked this duo the most, though I couldn't be certain what it is that made me feel that way. Regardless of the reason, I enjoyed their romance anyway!

Still, what I loved most about this book and the series as a whole is the beautiful story of faith... and a faith that can affect generations to come. The story was written so beautifully, and really made me think about those who have shaped my own faith simply by living theirs (grandparents, etc) and how I hope to have a faith that likewise will pass down long after I am gone. This is certainly not a Christian fiction story light on the Christian content- which perhaps might be for everyone- but I personally love it. I truly am sad to see the series end, but cannot want to see what Robin Lee Hatcher has in store for us next!

Overall, this was a great read. If you've read the rest of the series, you certainly won't want to miss this...and even if you haven't, it's a great read nonetheless!

**I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher via Netgalley for consideration. All thoughts are 100% my own.
