How Sweet It Is is a beautifully written inspirational romance. Great plot with believable characters. You can always count on a terrific book from Ms. Hatcher. A great series. I received an arc from the publisher and Netgalley and this is my unbiased review.

A Legacy of Faith series by Robin Lee Hatcher ties all the characters together with a family Bible. I have my grandfather's old pulpit Bible and a couple of my Daddy's Bibles. It is really neat to go back and see their thoughts on certain Scripture. I have three Bibles that I do most of my studying out of. I have three boys. I have written notes in each one for each individual child. Each boy will own one of the three boys with all my notes in them. I plan to pass them down to them as a legacy too. But Hatcher's stories is a Bible that is passed down to help the grandchildren as they have lost their way from the Lord. The romance is sweet. Just like contemporary romances' fans enjoy. The predictable ending occurs, but it was a nice journey to see how the heroine and hero fall in love and overcome obstacles. As for the cover, I'm usually not a fan of white covers because there is so much dead space, but for some reason, I really like this cover. The yellow on her apron matches the yellow in the title and looks nicely done. I think fans of Hatcher and contemporary romance authors like Courtney Walsh, Kara Issac, or Becky Wade might enjoy this novel too.

I received a complimentary copy of How Sweet It Is by Robin Lee Hatcher from Thomas Nelson Publishers, but the opinions stated are all my own.

“How Sweet It Is” by Robin Hatcher is exactly as the title suggests. A sweet love story with threads of Jed’s ancestry woven in. The author keeps your attention and there are times when her quotes and advice on our relationship with God and life are so inspiring that you pause to write them down.
I loved the characters Jed and Holly with all their insincerities and how they worked together to form a lasting relationship between them. Their lives go down a different path from what they had planned but realized that the steps of a good man are established by God.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I stopped reading after realizing this book is christian based and it's not my taste. I wish it would have mentioned that in the blurb just to let readers know.

This was such a sweet conclusion to the series, although I'm sad it's over! First off, how cute is that cover?? I love it! The baking theme was so fun, as I love baking myself. I really enjoyed following along on both the main characters' journey throughout the story. I had a hard time relating with Holly as I felt like she was stuck in the same rut for most of the book until the very end where she finally has her heart change. I really liked Jed and his storyline though. I feel like the way he reacted to certain scenarios was very realistic and well done. The plot twist at the end I somehow didn't see coming at all and I was shocked! It's not often a contemporary romance has any kind of major plot twist, but this one worked really well.

All in all, I greatly enjoyed this sweet read (pun intended?) I highly recommend this series if you love contemporary romance with a split timeline. (Which I usually don't like but found very fascinating in this series!) I haven't read a Robin Lee Hatcher book I didn't like yet.

FTC Disclosure: I received a complimentary copy of this book from Netgalley. I was not required to write a positive review. These are my honest thoughts and opinions.

"How Sweet It Is" is a sweet ending to the Legacy of Faith trilogy by Robin Lee Hatcher. Although this book could easily be read as a standalone, it has a much richer feeling if you have read the first two books in the series as the characters and story-style builds through each book. Each book combines a bit of historical romance from previous generations as shared via an old family Bible. In "How Sweet It Is", two individuals meet in Idaho, develop a friendship and later a relationship. The book is multi-layered, full of surprises, family dynamics and interactions, growth, and love. I have thoroughly enjoyed each book in this series. I love the way the author mingles the past into the present. Well done, enjoyable, thought-provoking read!

This, as you can probably guess from the title, was truly a sweet romance. The perfect light and uplifting read to escape for a little while from the craziness going on in the world.

When you pick up a Robin Lee Hatcher book you know it's going to be good!
When I finished reading Ben and Ashley's story, I thought that was the end so I was pleasantly surprised to see this one.
Hatcher has done a nice job in tying the past with the present together once again.
I think what fascinated me the most about this book was that Andrew and Helen were able to live to see all of these historical events! How wonderful would it have been to see things like that! Imagine how many generations can live in one house too! I love historical homes.
In the present we really don't see much changing because in my opinion it's already happened. I think that's why I'd love to travel back in time to see all of these wonderful events and maybe just maybe get to meet Neil Armstrong.
While reading Andrew and Helen's part of the story I felt like I re-learned a few medical terminology that I had forgotten about.
Andrew is my favorite character so I was glad to see him return in this novel. I liked him because he was strong in his faith even when things in his life were going wrong he turned to the Lord for his needs. I know that had to have been hard to do because it is for me. I'm trying to do better. I've even been trying to keep a daily journel.
Jeb was another story altogether. So much anger and hatred! Wow! I felt that coming through the pages of the book!
They say that Jeb's a handsome man but looks really aren't everything. In my opinion, it's what is in the heart is what really counts and of course it's what God really looks at too.
But, you know I really ended up liking him. I'm not going to say why because I don't want to give the story away!
Holly was a sweet lady. Poor thing really struggled!
In different circumstances there were times when I wanted to sit and cry or just give up but of course I didn't.
As you read this book my hope is that you'll see what this references to. I figured it out right away where this was going but again Hatcher has done such an amazing job.that she'll make you think twice. She did me.
I finished this book last night. I finished it 4 am in the morning. I just didn't want to put it down..
I wanted to see if Jeb could work out his problems with his brother. I found myself rooting for them.
This is the third book in the series and I think, think it's the last. But, we'll see.
Also, there are some Bible verses that written throughout this book and I actually looked up a couple and a few I had memorized from going to church myself.
Bibles are special. They are God's word and I especially liked this one because each family member that received it treasured it always.
I know I did mine! I have my grandpa's and there are a bunch of names that are written in there. I like that.
Anyway, I highly recommend this book because you'll not want to put it down until you finish. This book will leave you feeling full and satisfied after a good read. Kind of like a wonderful dessert
My thanks to Netgalley and Thomas Nelson publishing for a copy of this book. I was NOT required to write a positive review and all opinions are mine.

This is a sweet christian book and I wished it would have mentioned that in the blurb just to let readers know before hand, do I have a problem with it no, but others may not choose to read.

This is the first book I have read by Robin Lee Hatcher, and I have to say it was wonderful. Not a religious book per se, but definitely a story centred around faith, the bible and God. The story follows Holly Stanford as she struggles to build her business after being jilted at the alter (well almost at the alter), losing her trust in men and relationships. Jed Henning came to Idaho to rip his brother a new one, but he found more than just his brother during his search. He rediscovers his faith, his family and his morals, all while living in Holly’s basement apartment, the same apartment his great grandparents lived in years earlier. The story of Jed and Holly runs alongside the story of his great grandparents Andrew and Helen. A beautiful story including some lovely scripture. A story that made me question my faith in the best possible way. I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Although the blurb and description don't mention it - this is decidedly Christian romance (which is not typically something I read). As Christian Romance goes, I did enjoy the overall story - the author did a very nice job of tying the overall story to some important stories and passages from the bible.

Jed is in Boise trying to find his brother and fix their relationship. While he's there, he realizes what he really needs to fix is inside himself. Holly is working through the mess her ex-fiance left her in financially and work-wise. She is running a restaurant she never wanted to run, and living a life that doesn't quite fit her. She also needs to work on trusting herself and allowing herself to accept help from others so that she can move past this stage of her life.

The author also ties the book closely to scenes from Jed's great-grandfather's life. Jed, while looking for his brother in Boise, rents the apartment his great-grandparents lived in when they first got married. This part of the book, while poignant and brought home the benefit of close family ties and accepting help from others, didn't work really well for me. I think a better connection might have been other points in Andrew and Helen's life - maybe the beginning of their marriage (which was pretty rocky) or their experience with a prodigal son (which is referenced but not explained). There were also some other moments in the book that didn't work for me - but I am guessing some of that might be influenced by my views on Christian Romance.

There is a lot to like about this book - and if romance with a strong basis in Christianity is your thing - this is a lovely book for you to read.

I received this book as an ARC from NetGalley, but these opinions are all my own.

Robin Lee Hatcher wrote a sweet love story in "How Sweet It Is". I struggled to enjoy this book, mainly because of the character development. I fell in love with Andrew and Helen's love story but I was indifferent to Jed and Holly's story line. Overall, it was a quick easy read with a happy ending.

How Sweet It Is, by Robin Lee Hatcher is the third book of the Legacy of Faith Series.

Jeb Hennings runs a very successful video design business with the help of his younger brother, Chris, until Chris disappears after an argument, leaving the business in trouble. Jeb goes to Boise in search of his brother, hoping to persuade him to come back. While in Boise, Jeb rents an basement apartment from Holly Stanford that his great great grandparents lived in when they first married.

Holly owns Sweet Caroline's, a restaurant that she inherited from relatives, that she does not want to manage. She is short handed and in great debt, thanks to her ex-fiancé who left her before they wed. He convinced her to keep the restaurant rather than selling it and opening a bakery, which was her dream. Holly finds her only pleasure when she is baking and teaching some ladies from a shelter how to cook healthy foods. once a week.

When Jeb starts spending time with Holly, going to church and reading his grandfather's Bible, he learns many thing about his life and changes that he needs to make.

This is a very good book about love, healing and forgiveness, that I recommend.

Thank you NetGalley and Thomas Nelson for allowing me to read and review this book, expressing my own opinions.

Robin Lee Hatcher has, once again, written a sweet romance with enjoyable characters in "How Sweet It Is". I always enjoy how she weaves elements of faith into her novels. The romance that developed between Jed and Holly had a slow, sweet progression. This book was quick and easy to read.

Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

HOW SWEET IT IS IS the third novel in the Legacy of Faith series by ROBIN LEE HATCHER. The three books form the Henning family saga, with Andrew Henning's family bible playing a big part in each one. I enjoyed the whole series immensely and suggest you read them in sequence, but each novel can be read as a stand alone.
By a strange twist of faith - or was it the working of the Holy Spirit? - Jed Henning ends up renting the tiny basement apartment, where his great grandparents, Andrew and Helen Henning, started their married life, from Holly Stanford.
Jed is a successful businessman, who has a bad relationship with his younger brother, Chris, and has come to Boise to find him. He begins to see the light when he stops seeing Chris as the prodigal son and starts to see himself as the prodigal son's older brother!
Holly also has a problem with relationships, having been left practically at the altar by her fiance. She has also been left to run Sweet Caroline's, which is not making any money.
There are two parallel stories - the one taking place in 1969 and the other in the present.
I love the way the author describes the characters' struggles - she really is a master of romantic fiction - and I also love the strong Christian message.
It is a most enjoyable read and one I can highly recommend.
I was given a free copy of the book by NetGalley from Thomas Nelson. The opinions in this review are completely my own.
