Now Rebecca is all alone, blind, and with a small infant. When she goes to settle him one night, she quickly realizes that this is NOT her son. She is determined to find Jackson, but with everyone thinking she has lost her mind, this baby looks like Jackson, it will not be an easy search.

So first of all, Frey mentioned @loumalnatis in this book which automatically made it a win in my book! But damn did my heart break so hard for poor Rebecca. To know that this is not your child, but have everyone question you because you are blind…I cannot imagine how infuriating that would be. I did love some of the side characters and how they pushed Rebecca to let them help her and not to take everything on alone. I won’t say much more because I don’t want to give anything away, but dang did the ending surprise me!

Until I Find You is the latest psychological thriller from Rea Frey. From the very first pages I was immersed in the life of Rebecca Gray, our heroine. I read Until I Find You in less than a day, I absolutely couldn't put it down. I want to thank NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for an early copy to review.

Rea Frey has done it again. Her upcoming release Until I Find You is an overwhelmingly suspenseful book from page one.

A mother knows. Becca has a degenerative eye condition, one that has resulted her becoming almost completely blind. So, when her baby is mysteriously swapped for another, no one believes her, not even her closest friends. But that cry, that cry is not her sons and thus, she must embark on the search alone. Becca is an utterly empathetic character, one that unlike the naysayers, you, as the reader believe instantly. The other characters are well rounded (the women more than the men) which makes the story compelling, and despite the fact that I promised read only half, then get myself to bed, I found myself to sucked in to stop and couldn't help but read it stay up too late to read it in one sitting.

Another page-turner from one of my favorite authors. The premise of this was enticing: a mother, Rebecca, who is losing her vision discovers that her baby has been switched with another. She struggles to hold onto her sanity when the rest of the world thinks she’s going crazy.

I devoured this. I was completely engaged with the subject matter and the psychological insight. The descriptions of Rebecca’s blindness were intense and revealed how much sighted people, especially mothers, take their sighted worlds for granted. The nightmare of knowing that she had the wrong baby but not being believed was heartbreaking and I could feel her anxiety and aloneness through the pages. The ending was surprising and satisfying.

Wow! I loved this book. I haven't read Rea Frey before and I was surprised how much I liked this book. It kept my attention. Emotionally pulling at my heart.

I love Rea Frey, and I was fortunate enough to be a BETA reader for this book. I absolutely loved it, and I swear that Rea writes the best endings to her books. I've learned to never think that her one huge plot twist is the only one, because she always delivers an even better one! Such a talent !

She writes with incredible skill, and while I found myself not trusting any of the characters in this book, I still really liked them. I cannot imagine the research she had to do to write about a blind character. She had to think of every single aspect that a blind person deals with every day. One slip up and it would have ruined the narrative.

I cannot wait to read more of Rea's work. Fan for life!

Following the tragic death of her husband, she finds herself the sole carer for her son, Jackson. She goes into his room one day, only to discover that her baby has been replaced with another child. She can't see that it is a different baby, but just knows in her that it is not her child. Whilst I enjoyed a number of aspects of the book and found the different characters quite interesting, I found the plot a little incredulous at times. Overall, an enjoyable enough read despite this.

Rea Frey writes such unique and emotionally-driven stories that always have a way of tugging at my heartstrings.

In “Until I Find You”, Rebecca (Bec) is diagnosed with a degenerative eye disease that will eventually leave her completely blind. As if that isn’t difficult enough to handle, her husband passes away and she is left to raise her son, Jackson, alone while trying to navigate the world around her.

After fainting in the park one day, she promises to start taking better care of herself, not only for her but her son as well. When she hears her son crying and fussing in his crib, a baby who is normally so mild mannered, she picks him up and realizes immediately that it is not her son. How could this be and who is this baby?

This was a roller coaster of a story! I felt horrible for Bec because as much as she tried to convey to everyone that the baby wasn’t Jackson, they all thought she was just overtired and confused. But a mother’s love knows no bounds, and she refused to give up her search until Jackson was safe in her arms once again.

Highly recommend this one!

This was an absorbing domestic suspense novel about a blind widow who knows without a shadow of a doubt that her infant son has been switched with another -- but the police don't believe her. I will be reading other books by this author!

I did form a idea of what had happened with the baby switch, but wasn't sure how it would all come together. A light but interesting read. Needed something to keep my interest during this Covid19 pandemic.

Wow what a story line! I did not expect the ending which equals a great mystery! I'm only giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because it was a slow starter. You couldn't have a stronger woman character than Rebecca.

This book was INSANE!! I was entranced in the story and feared for Jackson the whole time. What a great twist/ending.

This is the first book i have read by this author. This was a quick suspenseful read for me. This book has the wow factor with lots of twists and turns. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advanced copy.

Rea Frey writes such glorious, gut-wrenching, emotionally charged books... They strike every panicked mommy chord in my heart, yet I can't not read them because her storytelling is so amazing. She has an absolutely lovely and lyrical way with language, even - if not especially - when describing situations that are unbearable to think about.

In this latest installment, her protagonist is confronted with almost literally the kitchen sink of horribles. She's isolated, heartbroken, vulnerable, and in the throes of new motherhood - a state that brings with it an unbelievable set of highs and lows. Into that mixture, we add unbelievable drama coupled with an absolute dearth of places to turn as no-one believes the things she is saying. It's a cauldron designed to brew insanity, and yet somehow Frey manages to make this woman feel relatable, even as we all secretly pray to whatever God we believe in that we won't be confronted with one of her challenges let alone all of them.

It's a tense book, to say the least, and was difficult to read at times. But because of Frey's mastery of language, emotion, an human frailty and resilience, the resulting tale was one I literally couldn't put down. I can't imagine the process she must go through to craft these books. They are meticulous in detail, capturing every nuance of human emotion and situation, and if they are difficult to read they must be even more difficult to write immersively.

If you aren't familiar with Frey's work, you really should be - she tells horribly beautiful tales about the challenges of being a mother, and she does so in a way that captures all of the joys and horrors and fears and delights that particular vocation encompasses. It's a beautiful thing...

I received this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. A powerful story that shows the true strength of a woman. Especially when she is a blind mother and knows the infant she is holding is not hers. The tricky part is no one believes her. I cried and felt her pain and frustration through this story. Wonderful!

She must do everything she can to make sure she finds her baby.
The author puts doubts in the readers mind if the event actually occurred, as well as some added plot twists along the way.
There was alot of inconsistencies in this story. From the details in the story to the plot. It bothers me reading a book when the author doesn't do better research.
The suspense in the book kept me reading but not sure I would recommend this book to friends.

A blind mother knows the very smell of her own child, she knows every bump and every curve like no other. So when Bec gets home after a harrowing day and goes to feed her son she knows right away something isn’t right. No one believes that this is not her baby, after all who would just swap babies and why?
The answer might be closer to home than she thinks.
I really loved this book, it was unique and fast paced. Great new perspectives of motherhood with a blind mother. Awesome read. The only reason it’s losing a star is that at the start there are doors suddenly open, footsteps, things moved around in the house, that never get resolved or a real reason in the book. I would have liked some follow up to that:
