Rebecca Gray has a lot on her plate: a degenerative eye disorder, a new born, and is recently widowed and motherless. She navigates life through her using her photographic memory and with the guidance of her “mom friends” Beth and Jess as well as the one friend she made during grief group, Crystal. All of the stresses of life are catching up with her and her friends are insisting that she needs help. When she faints in the park one afternoon, she swears that she’s ok, but after a long afternoon she realizes that the baby in her crib is not her baby. With the help of ex-boyfriend, she tries to figure out how to convince everyone that although she cannot see, she is certain that the baby is not hers. Her journey to the truth is a difficult one to manage, but a mothers intuition is never wrong. Or is it?

I downloaded this book (finally) yesterday as it has been waiting for me on my shelf. This book was amazing. I am mad at myself for waiting this long to read it. It kept me guessing the whole way through. I read it in less than a day and only stopped bc I had to sleep. Definitely recommend! An incredibly well-written book with great perspectives and unexpected twists!

"Until I Find You" is the story of a recently widowed wife/mother - who is also blind and is struggling to get people to believe that her baby son has been replaced. This story builds perfectly - and the twists are never what the reader thinks.

The story raises excellent questions about what it means to really believe your own mind - even when the world is convinced you're wrong. And then, using great supporting characters, leads into an exploration of the many ways to be a good mother.

I really enjoyed this book - The only reason why I'm giving it 4 stars is because of a slight lag at the beginning and a slightly unnecessary romantic subplot.

Every Mother’s worst nightmare comes true in Until I Find You by Rea Frey! This is an incredible must read that pull on your heart strings, shock you, and question who you can really trust.

Rea dedicates this book to her daughter Sophia the brightest light she will ever see.

One major theme in this book I found is stick to your gut instinct and never give up! No matter if nobody believes you never give up!

Rea incredibly impressed me thinking outside the box and diagnosing her main character Rebecca with an eye disease that left her blind. Rea does an amazing job showing us not just telling how Rebecca navigates motherhood and everyday life. I am not a mother but I couldn’t imagine how challenging it would be being visually impared.

Besides Rebecca’s story there were other side stories going on as well. Many of them tied to Rebecca’s in one way or the other.

This is one book that will stay with you long after you are finished with it.

I really enjoyed "Because You're Mine" by Rea Frey, so I was very excited to read "Until I Find You". This story great, with a major twist at the end. I can't imagine what would happen if I was going blind and discovered that the baby in the crib wasn't my child. This was a thrilling, exciting read until the very end.

I can't wait to read more by Rea Frey!

I was pleased to read ARC, so I opened book and immediately was in mother's world, standing beside her, looking out for her, and wanting to help her.

A mother knows her child, knows when it is her child,
even though she is blind.

Unfortunately, this one just didn't do it for me. I was so excited to get this arc as I enjoyed the authors previous books. I found it really slow and I just didn't like the characters. I had a really hard time staying focused on the story. Oh well .... It won't stop me from reading more by this author in the future.

Really a 2.5/5 but rounded up to a 3 for the rating.

Until I Find You by Rea Frey is a true thriller and emotional rollercoaster!

It is rare to have a blind main character in this type of book and setting, But the writing, plot and powerful characters came together beautifully.

With many plot twists and turns Until I find you really showcases what it is like to be a first time mom, to loose important people in your life and to question your own sanity.

I highly recommend diving into it!

Until I Find You is an emotional, poignant novel written in the points of view of Rebecca, a nearly-blind woman, a recent widow, and a new mother, and that of Crystal, a friend of Rebecca’s who lives nearby. Crystal is also a recent widow but is dealing with a child prodigy of a ten-year-old daughter.

Rebecca is exhausted from trying to survive without her considerate husband who helped her navigate her world as she loses more and more of her vision. Raising a baby while seeing is difficult, but while blind infinitely more so. She’s felt for several weeks that she’s being followed, that things in her house are being rearranged, that doors she knows she locked are unlocked, but she—and everyone else in her life—attribute her paranoia to fatigue. But one day, she faints in the park. Friends take her home and watch her baby while Bec gets some rest. When she awakens, she knows the baby in her arms isn’t her son. The police seem more interested in maintaining the pretense that their community is free of crime instead of helping Bec.

In Until I Find You, Frey pulls the reader through every emotion Bec has: her confusion, paranoia, grief, love for her child, and the horror she experiences when she realizes the baby she’s holding isn’t hers. She suspects everyone, and the plot twists keep the reader guessing until the end.

Rea Frey is one of my 'newish' favorite authors. She always seems to make her books feel very realistic. Like they could actually happen to you. I feel like her writing absorbs you completely in the novel. While I was reading Until I Find You, I forgot where I was. I was completely wrapped up in the book. I believe an author's job is to transport you to another time and place, if only for a short time. Rea Frey does that and more. Her characters are relatable, believable, and realistic. She develops her characters with expert precision. I would read anything Ms. Frey writes! Five Stars!

Truly my heart was in my throat reading this novel!
A Mother never gives up! This describes Rebecca Gray.
She has a had a year nobody could understand.
Her husband and mother are dead, and she has a disease that has now left her almost sightless.
The best part of her life is that she has her three month old son that she loves with every ounce of her heart.
She knows every part of his body, his mannerisms, his smell and his needs.
She is exhausted, lacking sleep, but despite setbacks, making her way in the world as a new mom!
When she goes to check on him in his crib after a long day, she realizes; this baby is not her son!
There is no way he is her little boy and she is on a mission to find out where her infant has gone and just who is this baby that is now in her home?
Why does nobody believe that this child that Rebecca has now, is NOT her child? Has she lost her mind?
I was surprised at the end of the book! It was not what I thought.
I have read all of Rea Frey's books and this is definitely a good one!

This was a new author for me to read and I definitely recommend her and can’t wait to read more by her in the future!

This author does not disappoint, so when I found a new book by her, yes, I read it!
This time we are offered a woman that should, and is so broken, she has lost her husband, her mother, and now her eye sight. On top of this she thinks someone has taken her baby, and left a different one.
How would she know if she can’t see? As a mother you know their smell, and being blind leads to other senses taking over. How can she even go on?
How we get to know what happened to her little one is a journey, and you will be suspecting everyone, and no one went unnoticed in my mind, but when the answers came I was definitely surprised, I never saw it all coming.
From beginning to end you will wonder if Rebecca is mind playing tricks on her, how could something so horrible happen?

Rebecca Gray, a young, blind, widowed mother faints at the park and is taken home by her friends, who help put her baby to bed while she rests. When she wakes later and goes to get her infant son, she realizes that the baby is his crib is not her son...but who is he?

The police don't believe that her baby has been switched, but she knows it, after all, she is his mother. But even her friends are skeptical...the baby looks just like Jackson and after all, she is blind, how can she tell? Bec is adamant and with the help of her former lover Jake, she sets out to prove that everyone is wrong and to find her son. But is she right or is she chasing after a fantasy?

Life has been pretty tough for Rebecca Grey recently. A degenerative eye disease is causing her to lose her sight, she moved into her mother's home in the suburbs to raise her infant son after the death of her husband. A few months later, her mother also passes away. It's hard enough being a new mom, even tougher to be blind as well. She has few close friends, but feels guilty asking for help. On a seemingly normal day at the park with other moms Rebecca passes out, in those few seconds her life is changed. When she goes to check on her baby, she realizes it is not her child. This baby looks almost exactly like her son, and while sympathetic, she realizes nobody actually believes her baby was switched. As the hours and days tick by, she is frantic to prove she is not going crazy and needs to find her son.

The first half of this book really dragged for me and it just wasn't keeping my interest. I'm not sure if it was the writing style or what. By the second half, I was engrossed and while I had an idea of what happened, I was surprised at the revelations. I personally felt it was a bit far fetched, but it was still a nice read and I'd definitely recommend it.

I cannot imagine being a new mom, new widow and blind. The only way it can get worse is if you think someone swapped out your baby for another and no one believes you. Everyone thinks you are losing it.

This is the basic plot line for this story. I could feel the frustration of Rebecca, the main character.

Definitely plot driven. Lots of foreshadowing if you can pick up on it. But, the ending is still a surprise.

Entertaining and fast paced!
