Frey is the queen of writing a good twist! This book is no different! I loved that she played up how losing a sense can throw the body and mind for a loop! I flew through this one and loved the build up!

I initially found it quite hard to believe that blind mother Bec’s friends couldn’t see that her baby was swapped with another, yet I carried on and glad I did. The twists and ratcheting tension kept me on my toes and I liked Frey’s cast of characters. I thought I knew where this story was going but then questioned myself time and again. An enjoyable read in which I became emotionally connected.

This was my first novel by Rea Frey. After reading a lot of dark thrillers lately, I was in the mood for a deep, emotional, even heart-wrenching drama. This filled all of those niches for me! This book was so hard to put down, reading from the perspective of a blind person, our main character, Rebecca. Not only does she have this disability to deal with, she then loses her son, Jackson. A past love comes into the picture, and this just had me on such an emotional bond with this book. 4.5 stars for a beautifully written novel. I look forward to reading more books by Rea Frey.

This book grabbed me from the very first page!! I read it in one sitting. I thought the tension level of the book was just right. From the beginning, you feel Rebecca’s terror when she feels she is being followed, or when things aren’t quite right at home. Then, when the unthinkable happens, you feel her pain and anguish, especially when no seems to believe her.
This is the first book I handed read by this author, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Before the reveal happened, I did have a slight suspicion of who committed the crime, but not enough to be sure.
Well done thriller.

An ex-boyfriend homicide detective, Jake, is determined to assist her in finding Jackson although he is isn’t sure she is correct either. Has Bec just lost her mind or do mother’s know their own babies without sight?

Gut wrenching, emotional, and suspenseful, I was drawn into this story from the first page and completely enjoyed it. Bec made all the same decisions and choices a sighted mother would make, yet she was judged differently by society. And her friends reacted as I expect most normal people would. Until I Find You is not your average thriller, but rather has a new and interesting perspective. Highly recommend!

An addictive, amazing, heart-wrenching thriller!

Follow Rebecca, a mother with degenerative eye disease and her baby. She lives alone and due to her partial blindness, she counts steps to each part of the house to know where exactly she is, she has a little bell on her son’s leg so when he moves she can hear the chimes of the bell to know where he is.

Imagine feeling like something is not right, that the baby everyone is telling you is actually your baby, and no one believes you when you insist the baby in your home is not in fact your baby. She is convinced she knows her son and this baby in her home is definitely not her son. Even though no one believes her she is determined to uncover the truth and find out exactly what happened.

What she uncovers will shock and surprise you. A story of a mother’s instinct and unwavering love for her child, and a mother’s determination to find her baby.

A definitely must-read that you have to add to your TBR!

Days after reading, I'm still shocked at how well-written this point of view was, Frey depicted the main character in this highly intense book in a way that made me want to keep turning the pages. How she wrote Bec's disability made the book that much more interesting to me, and made the happenings of the story even more emotional.

Emotional and full of moments that will surprise you, although the ending wasn’t quite what I was hoping for and was the one part of the story that kept me from rating it 5 stars.

I can't even imagine a life like Rebecca's—a blind, single mom who is still mourning the death of her husband. Just being able to raise a child alone is hard, but then to not be able to see that wonderful child and the world around him would make it even harder.

Things start happening in Bec's world, things that make her think that someone is messing with her or out to get her. Is she just being paranoid? Then one day, when she picks up her son out of his bed she discovers it isn't him. It's someone else's baby. Why won't anyone believe her?

I loved and hated this story—loved it because of the complexity of what was happening to Bec and her son and all the clues thrown out as to 'who done it', and hated it for those very same reasons. I suspected everyone at some point and I never knew who Bec could trust. Just when I thought I was on the right path to the 'bad guy', the author would take me in a different direction. There were several times I just wanted to scream at everyone to take Bec seriously! She knows her own baby! Why won't they listen to her?

Until I Find You got me pretty worked up and stressed out for Rebecca—and I loved every minute of it! This is a book that will easily draw you in and keep you intrigued to the very end.

Until I Find You is a well-written, surprising, and emotionally-charged novel. I love this author’s books - Because You’re Mine, especially, and I’m happy to say that I enjoyed this one just as much!! It grips me entirely and didn’t let go until the final page. Such a gem. I can’t wait for this to get into the hands of more readers!

4 very chilling stars!! This book was so tense and emotional - it sucked me in from the very first page! I found myself wholly invested in the main character’s plight to find her son, never doubting her strong conviction for a second.

This book wasn’t perfect; there were some things that were never really explained. And there were times when it felt like things were going to delve into the paranormal which never happened. Despite this, I really enjoyed the journey of this book! Such a chilling tale!!

Brief Summary: Bec has certainly faced adversity; with recent losses of her vision, her husband’s death, and her mother’s death. Bec has been through a lot and when she starts to feel like she is being watched or her door was left unlocked; her friends express concern that she is tired. Then one day she goes to take care of her baby boy and realizes that it’s not him; but no one believes that her baby was swapped with another. This is my third read of Rea Frey’s and I eagerly anticipated this novel as it featured a character with a disability in a thriller novel.

Highlights: This is another brilliantly written, shocking, schedule clearing read Rea Frey is known for. For me, the best part was watching her create Bec’s world and show us how she adjusted to and lives with her vision impairment. Frey works in several key social disability issues that I hope readers learn from; society perceiving PWD as less than or incapable known as ablelism, others continually offering help, and PWD having difficulty accepting help. I love that she touches on disability and relationships. The most unique aspect of this novel is how Bec’s disability impacts the crime, her investigation, and her interactions with law enforcement. Given the story theme of grief and loss, I also liked that she had the characters going to therapy.

Explanation of Rating: 4.5/5: Disability is such a unique aspect of this thriller and so underrepresented in the thriller genre.

Psychology Factors: The author wove psychological issues including loss of a spouse and adjustment to disability into the novel. I thought she did both accurately. Of note, she did do a vision loss simulation which can lead to inaccurate perceptions of disability.

This is a must read for thriller enthusiasts, psychological thriller enthusiasts, book clubs, and one of my top recommendations for a summer vacation read. This is also a great read for folks looking to diversify their reading and learn about other underrepresented groups.

Firstly, I'm a huge Rea Fray fan. Her past two thrillers have been favorites of mine for their superb pacing, real characters, and stellar endings and let's just say that book 3 here, Until I Find You, fits that mold to a tee. Rebecca is a fantastic protagonist. I couldn't have rooted for her harder as she went through her struggles. The pacing was perfection and made it impossible to set down.

The twists are amazing! Like every other thriller reader I'm constantly trying to guess the next plot point or whodunit before it happens and there were multiple surprises along the way with this story. The writing itself is great too because even though I was rooting for Rebecca and believed her there was this tinge of doubt there the whole way through. And the ending! Wow, it was incredible and not expected but very satisfying.

I totally recommend this book to not just thriller fans but any reader. It's a great summer read to lose yourself in.

What a fantastic read! This was such a sensory experience for me, as Rea Frey immersed me into the world of a blind woman, and a mother so desperate to find her son. With a surprising twist I was taken into a roller coaster of emotions. A poignant and satisfying read that is compelling as it was riveting.

Until I Find You by Rea Frey is is a book that begs your full, undivided attention and a span of time to sit and read because you will not want to stop reading once you start.

This book is immediately engaging, definitely nerve-wracking, and a fast-paced, gripping read. It’s original in that it features a woman with a degenerative eye disease who is raising a baby on her own. She has lost so much in her life, including her husband and her career as a concert cellist. Now she’s faced with all the challenges of raising a baby on her own, all while growing increasingly blind.

This story starts off as Bec’s life gets decidedly worse when her baby is swapped with another and no-one seems to believe her. She has never felt more alone and she is determined to find her baby boy, even if she must do it on her own.

This story is intense and moving and if you enjoy thrillers, you will not want to miss this one.

Admittedly, there are a few minor plot holes and jumps in the narrative, and the writing at times seems choppy or a bit clunky. There is a romantic relationship in this story that I just didn’t feel authentic to me. The ending was also a little lackluster and unbelievable, but also somehow fitting.

Regardless of these issues, Until I Find You was a unique story and an entertaining, quick read and I’m glad I read it.

This is the first book I've read by Rea Frey and I cannot believe I have not read her before. I know so many of my reader friends love her and I have already added her other books to my tbr. Her writing is so addicting!

This book kept me on the edge of my seat right from the start. The emotions that this book evoked, the characters that she writes all combine to give us such a compelling read that once you start reading, you will be hard-pressed to put this book down. While I am not a mother, and certainly not someone with any sight issues, I still felt for Rebecca. I felt Rea Frey created her character with such depth that she felt real. The tension was high as I was reading this book and my heart was racing the entire time.

This book really kept me guessing as to what was going on. I was immediately suspicious of everyone, but never did I guess what really ended up happening. This book kept me glued to the pages. It is completely addicting and one that I know I will be thinking about for quite some time. I love books like that!

If you love domestic dramas, then do yourself a favor and pick this one up. I know I will be reading more of this author soon and will certainly be keeping an eye out for what Rea Frey writes next!

Bec, I know you’re blind but haven’t you heard of DNA kits? You can order them from Amazon. Problem in convincing the police you are correct? Solved! That would have made this a shorter, tighter, book. I understand that being blind is scary. My own husband irl is legally blind. I don’t hear him whining all the time. Buy a gun! Go to your backyard for some sun instead of a remote park! ASK OR PAY FOR SOME HELP!!! There are many free resources for the blind. You are enforcing stereotypes of helpless blind people. Get your act together.

To be fair, while I absolutely disliked this book, I think it was at least partially because I’m too close to the subject. So I’ll rate it 3 stars as I believe some more sentimental readers may enjoy Until I Find You.

Rebecca Gray has lost so much: a husband, her sight, her career and her mother. However, she does have her infant son who she is fiercely devoted to. She is determined to care for him and to raise him herself. Suffering from lack of sleep and the stress of daily life, she is anxious. Did she leave her front door unlocked? Was someone following her? Her life explodes when she discovers the baby in the crib is not her own.
Rebecca is a fascinating character who is to be admired for her strengths. The author skillfully places readers into her world. The secondary characters are believable. As the narrative moves along we begin to wonder if they are who .they present themselves to be.
This is an engrossing and riveting story with an unexpected conclusion. Highly recommended.

Imagine that you have slowly lost your sight, then your husband and on top of it all, your baby is crying, you go to pick him up to comfort him, but the baby you are holding is not yours! Not only that, no one believes you! Friends think you are stressed out, exhausted, etc. But you know your own child, you have been feeling as if someone has been following you, things have been moved in your home, etc.

Bec goes through a string of emotions when she discovers that her son is gone. No one believes her and she goes on a mission to find out the truth and naturally to find her missing son.

This was slow to start for me, but then picked up as Bec and her friend Crystal's friendship and stories were told. I flipped back and forth with my feelings for the book. Bec's friends all thought she needed more help, she was losing her sight, lost her husband and her mother in a close amount of time and was raising a newborn. Who would not need help in that situation? But at the same time, she was resilient and showed determination and strength. Plus, she wanted her son back. Her Friends and ex-boyfriend, although skeptical do try to help. Did things get a little repetitive? Yes, but there was the emotional aspect of the book, the feelings expressed, and the search for her missing son. With, this is one that I can say that I liked but did not love. I cannot quite put my finger on what would have made me enjoy this book more, besides not feeling very connected to the characters. It is still enjoyable, and I look forward to more books by this Author.

I am teetering between a 3 and a 3.5 for this one.

Until I Find You is a story about a youth woman who not only became a widow around the same time as she became pregnant, but she also started to lose her sight. Now living on her own with a 3 month baby and almost completely blind, Rebecca starts getting the feeling that she is being watched. After an incident in the park, she is sure her baby has been swapped with another but no one believes her and no other baby is missing. Certain of a mother’s knowledge of her own baby, Rebecca stops at nothing to find hers. Content warnings for close family member death, postpartum depression and anxiety.

Until I Find You started out much slower than Rea Frey’s past novels. There is a lot of character history to set up but I did find it a struggle to get into until about a third of the way in when the action starts. It is an interesting and complex plot, definitely not one I have read before, but it was a little closer to drama than thriller. The ending wasn’t my favourite either.
