It takes a village, doesn't it? This is a sweet love story between two people and among the people of the town of Blessings, Georgia- it will make you smile. Cathy is both figuratively and literally on the run from an abusive ex. She's trying to stay under the radar. One thing she does so is run but one day she falls- and luckily Duke sees it happen. He takes her to the ER and along the way realizes that she might be someone who can bring him out of his shell. He's a protector- he raised his brother after their parents died and still lives with him (and his sister in law) on their ranch. Their relationship is just beginning to bloom when Cathy pops over to a nearby town and is recognized, bringing danger upon herself. Don't worry= the town rallies around her as does Dule. It's as much about the town as is it about these two. Don't worry if you haven't read the earlier books in the series; this is fine as a standalone. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. A HEA!

Another good story from Blessings, Georgia by Sharon Sala. This small town story, although part of a series can be read as a standalone story.

Cathy has relocated to this quaint town from Las Vegas to escape a stalking ex husband who threatened her life. She's got ample money in the bank from a lucrative divorce settlement that allows her to operate under the radar. That is until she takes a nasty fall while out jogging one morning and is rescued by Duke Talbot, a gentle soul.

Since she has no family or vehicle and is all alone, Duke takes her under his wing, being neighborly and all. Their friendship grows while at the same time, her ex has hired PI's to locate her. As danger appriaches, the residents of Blessings, as in all small towns, rally to protect Cathy.

Having grown up in a small resort town, something can be said for living where everyone knows your name! A great beach read that I recommend.

I received a free ARC eBook from Net Galley and the publisher in exchange for my honest opinions.

Back to Blessings Georgia with all of the characters from the other books. This one opens in Los Vegas with Cathy getting divorced from her husband and then when she finds he is having her followed. She decides to leave from Vegas when he is out of town. She grew up living off the grid in Alaska so it was not difficult to fall back into that lifestyle.
Hiking part of the U.S. from Colorado she finds Blessings and decides to rent a house for the winter. She has also taken to running, jogging which is new for the people she passes by every day but after a while they fall into step like it is normal, the redhead woman running through the streets just before the stores open.
Rancher Duke Talbot comes in town to get supplies and is surprised anyone is running in Blessings unless they are on the track team for high school. Watching he sees her trip and fall. Going to her aid he sees her ankle is already swollen and before she can say anything, he has her up in his arms and in his truck taking her to ER. You guessed it theses are the two people who are to be together, but it is the way the author weaves the story between her being leery and cassis of people and wondering if her ex has found out if she has left Vegas and has started looking for her.
Also, going on is two brothers that are selling other people’s cattle, yes cattle rustlers and though they know it is wrong, falling on tough times has made look past the way they were raised. You also have a young boy who was running away from school because he was held back because his mother kept him home more days to help with his siblings than have him go to school, and when he finds out she is pregnant again he knows he will not be able to go back to school. All of these are handled excellently in the story along with when her ex does send someone looking for her. I really enjoyed every part of this story and how she made Cathy’s character a strong woman, which is something my wife and I have worked on with our daughters. An excellent story with good characters.

Once in a Blue Moon is a sweet romance. I enjoyed the first few chapters, but lost interest after that. The conversations were repetitive and I had a difficult time imaging the characters as I read.

A lovely, sweet small-town romance. Really enjoyed this series. Loved this one!

Many thanks to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for my ARC. All opinions are my own.

I’ve read other books by Sharon Sala and really enjoyed them. Sadly, I have a problem with this one.
First, the good stuff ...
It’s a cozy romance. The setting is lovely. Nice to see the other characters from Blessings.
I even like the main characters. Duke and Cathy are good together.
My criticism is that every time something happens, the author has the characters go tell several other characters the whole story.
Cathy’s fall, Duke tells the whole story to 4 different people.
We were there! I don’t need to read it FOUR MORE TIMES!
This happens several times in the book.
It got really tedious.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for providing an arc in exchange for my honest review.

Once in a Blue Moon is the latest book in the Blessings, Georgia series by Sharon Sala. Cathy Terry is a strong woman who through her marriage became someone she didn't recognize anymore. Cathy ends up in Blessings, Georgia and meets a man named Duke Talbot after he takes her to the ER after an accident. Cathy and Duke start a whirlwind romance and he introduces her to the townspeople. Cathy slowly starts to make herself at home with all of the familiar people we have met in the previous books.

Even though there are physical and mental obstacles that Duke and Cathy have to overcome, they are positive about the future and what will happen, and that love will find a way.

The main criticism I have is that it was hard to switch between first person point-of-view so many times in a chapter. For example, first we had the employer's point-of-view talking to his employee. It then switched to the employee's girlfriend's first person point-of-view, and next to the employee's first person point-of-view. All this without any kind of break to differentiate who was speaking.

I want to live in Blessings, GA. Once again Ms Sala has written a highly entertaining story; a sweet romance with a touch of drama. Always well-written with likable characters & a touch of humor. Loved how the author used Thanksgiving to give an update on all the lovable characters we've already read about, it was like visiting old friends.

Once in a Blue Moon (Blessings, Georgia #10) by Sharon Sala is the newest book in the Blessings, Georgia Series. Every single book in this series feels like coming home to friends and family. Long missed loved ones. I have had the great pleasure and privilege to read every single book in this amazing series, and this newest addition does not disappoint. This is the story of Duke and Cathy.

Duke Talbot has always taken care of everyone in his life. He gave up is dreams to take care of his brother and keep the family farm running after the death of his parents. He takes care of friends in Blessings, and he looks after his family. He is not looking for love, he is not looking for a relationship, but when he sees a beautiful red head take a tumble while jogging, his heart takes a tumble right along side her.

Cathy Terry is on the run in more ways than one. After divorcing an abusive husband who continues to monitor and stalk her, she is in fear for her life. So she runs. Leaving Vegas and hiking the Appalachian Trail until she ends up in the sleepy little town of Blessings, Georgia. She can take care of herself, she is not looking for a knight in shining armor, but when she takes a bad fall while jogging one morning, her knight shows up and runs away with her heart.

As Duke and Cathy spend more and more time together, their feelings grow deeper than either of them every thought they would. When her past comes to Blessings to track her down, Duke will do everything in his power to protect the woman that he loves, and Cathy will do everything in hers to make sure that the people that have come to mean so much to her are never touched by her past.

What I loved the most about this story is that although Duke wants to protect Cathy, she proves to him and the entire town that she is more than capable of protecting herself. Whether it is taking down a rabid coyote to protect a group of kids, or confronting the man that comes after her in Blessings, she proves without a doubt that she is strong and capable. I loved the relationship between Duke and Cathy. I love how their love just seemed to blossom. They were the other half of each others souls.

We get to see friends from past books, get to visit with new characters and just get to love being back in Blessings. I would highly recommend this amazing story to everyone, but be warned, once you pick up this book, you will totally have a problem with putting it down. It is that darn good. 5 Sweet Tea Stars.

Such an emotional and compelling story. Sharon Sala creates strong characters that face adversity but never lose their heart, passion or generosity. Cathy Terry is all alone and on the run from an abusive ex-husband. She escapes to Blessings, Georgia. With all she has faced she could have become a bitter recluse. She won't allow that to happen. She will face danger and fall apart later. Duke Talbot, a confirmed bachelor, is there to catch her when she does. He provides the strength and love she needs. Even though she is new in town, she discovers a need in the community everyone else has overlooked. Cathy has the means and the heart to make a difference and she takes charge to get the job done. Sharon Sala is my absolute favorite author of all time and for the last 15 years I have periodically dropped her a note now and then to let her know how much she is appreciated and the joy I find in reading her books.
Thank you to NetGalley and SOURCEBOOKS Casablanca for this advanced review copy. In return, I am submitting my unbiased and voluntary review. All opinions and thoughts are my own.

Blessings, Georgia – Present Day

After escaping an abusive marriage, Cathy Terry is tired of running and decides to settle down for a few months in Blessings, Georgia. Her ex is a wealthy casino owner and, as part of their divorce, she got a large settlement. Unfortunately, her ex has been stalking her, so she went “off the grid” and hiked across the country until she ended up in Blessings and decided to stay on a whim. Cathy is out running one day when she turns her ankle and falls to the ground. Local farmer Duke Talbot nearly hits Cathy with his truck and helps get her to the hospital. He is one of those guys who is as nice as they come and doesn’t want to leave her side even though they hadn’t yet met. Duke makes sure that Cathy gets home—and their friendship is now formed.

Duke is attracted to Cathy and makes excuses whenever possible to be around her. She is clearly independent, but with no car and being hobbled due to her sprained ankle, he becomes a very handy man to have around. After being burned by one relationship, Cathy doesn’t plan to fall for another man, but Duke is different. He is like a gentle giant who treats her not only as his queen, but also as his equal. In ONCE IN A BLUE MOON, their romance builds slowly, but is there a chance it can be the forever kind? Meanwhile, Cathy’s ex is searching for her. If he finds her, will he make trouble for her—and the people in Blessings?

ONCE IN A BLUE MOON is a feelgood romance that readers surely need during times of stress. Blessings is inhabited by people who care for each other and have no problems welcoming newbies into town. At first, Cathy keeps herself aloof from the townspeople, but after her accident and the overwhelming kindness given to her by people she once thought of as strangers, she begins to become part of the community. Along the way, Cathy uses the money from her divorce settlement to better the lives of people around her. She also grows closer to Duke. Will they find love?

Duke is used to being the third wheel in the house he shares with his brother and sister-in-law. With the entrance of Cathy into his life, he begins to find himself spending more time with her. Duke marvels at the strength and perseverance of Cathy and it makes him fall in love with her. However, her ex hasn’t forgotten his plan for revenge on Cathy. Will Duke be able to protect her, or is she strong enough to fight her own battles?

ONCE IN A BLUE MOON is the tenth tale in the Blessings, Georgia series by Sharon Sala. I will admit I haven’t read the prior nine books, but I had no trouble following along as multiple characters are incorporated into this story. Most everyone is nice, and like I said earlier, ONCE IN A BLUE MOON is a sweet romance that will leave you feeling happy. Be sure to grab a copy and snuggle up with a pillow to enjoy this tale.

Welcome back to Blessings!

Cathy Terry has recently went through a divorce and because of a threat her ex-husband made, she went on the run. She ends up in the little town of Blessings and decides to stay for the winter. When Duke Talbot is running some errands in Blessings, he happens to see Cathy take a hard fall while jogging and stops to give her some help. Who knew this would lead to finding love?

In this 10th installment, we have cattle-rustling, a runaway dog, a runaway kid, a slumlord, a rabid coyote, 2 people falling in love, a stalking ex and a mall shooting. Peak your interest yet?

Every book in this series is just so fantastic. Sometimes you read a series and there's usually 1 book that's not that wonderful, but NOT with this series. Each one is amazing and each new one is better than the one before it.

These stories are like coming home after being gone for awhile. You get to catch up with old friends and meet the new ones that have come to town.

One of the things I love about this series, is how the author gives little POV switches to different people in town. Some are just bystanders to the the Hero & Heroine and some have little side stories of their own. I know some people who might not like that, because they would be afraid that things would not get settled or that it may interfere with the major story line, but rest assured, this does not happen in these books. The extra plots always go with the story in some way and in my opinion, feel natural, easy and fun to read.

Sharon Sala is a magnificent writer. She knows how to grab your attention, then hang on to it till your eyes have crossed and you realize you've forgotten to eat or use the restroom in hours. I'm never disappointed when I read a story from her.

Once in a Blue Moon is the second book I have read in the Blessings, Georgia series by Sharon Sala. It is the tenth book in the series, but it is possible to read the books without reading the others in the series and still understand what is going on. I think it would be helpful to have read from the beginning, but I have read one of the earlier installments, so I already had the gist of it, and knew what to expect. I have previously read some of Ms. Sala’s romantic suspense books which I thoroughly enjoyed so this type of writing style from her was a bit different. I guess this is what you might describe as cozy romance with a tiny bit of suspense thrown in.

The basic premise is not uncommon; woman leaves wealthy abusive husband and seeks anonymity in a small town but finds a whole new unexpected life. This was not a poorly written story, but it was a little too tame for me. I prefer books that are a little on the edgy side and this was too sweet, too neatly wrapped up and the drama with the ex-husband was almost non-existent. In this book as the other I read, the two main characters fall in love almost immediately upon meeting and declare their love. I love a good romance, but this is a turn off for me, lust maybe, but not love. I know there is a following for this type of book and I’m sure they will enjoy it. I do appreciate Ms. Sala’s expertise at her craft and look forward to her next romantic suspense novel. I gave this book three stars. I thank NetGalley and the publisher, Sourcebooks Casablanca, for the opportunity to read this book.

This is one series that I hope continues for a very long time!

Cathy Terry did the unthinkable, she divorced Blaine Wagner. Blaine is a billionaire with a name that is well known. The day of the divorce, Blaine's parting words were one of a threat. Knowing that her every move was being watched, Cathy devised a plan.

Her plan got her to Blessings, Georgia, where she hoped to stay for the winter. Cathy stayed under the radar, until one day while out running she fell and Duke Talbot witnessed the fall and takes her to the hospital. Once Cathy is ready to be released, through the grapevine that she needs a ride home, Duke offers again.

Duke Talbot lives with his brother and his wife. Together, the brothers work their parents' farm. Duke the older of the two, has always been one to look after everyone. He can't help himself, but to continue to insert himself into Cathy's life.

Just as Cathy has caught the Duke's eye, he has caught Cathy's. What has started out as friendship, quickly becomes something more.

As Cathy begins to feel more confident, she makes a run to the next town and runs smack into an old acquaintance. Cathy knows that word will get back to Blaine, but she hopes he has decided to move on and let her be.

The people in Blessings are starting to know Cathy, so when a man shows up at the B&B and asks questions. Rachel Goodhope becomes suspicious and decides to make sure Cathy knows someone is asking about her. Cathy is sick of running, and decides she's going to take matters into her own hands, unsure how it will unfold, Cathy begins driving around to locate and confront the man, who can ruin the life she has rebuilt.

I love revisiting the town of Blessings. A town filled with good people who care about everyone else, and easily welcome a newcomer into their folds. Feels like being with old friends while reading.

I received an ARC from NetGalley via Sourcebooks Casablanca and I have voluntarily reviewed this book.

Once in a Blue Moon by Sharon Sala is the 10th book in her wonderful Blessings, Georgia series. I am a big fan of this series, as it is always wonderful to return to Blessings, Georgia and the fabulous townsfolk we get to spend time with.

We meet our heroine, Cathy Terry, as she is on the run from her abusive ex-husband, who threatens her life. She continues to move from different places often to make sure he never finds her; Cathy finds Blessings, and decides to stay in this small town for the winter. She goes out every day for her morning run, and many residents have gotten used to her passing their stores. One morning she twists her ankle and Duke Talbot, our hero, finds her and helps bring her to the hospital.

Duke and his brother run a ranch on the outskirts of Blessings, and is considered Mr nice guy to the residents of Blessings. He makes sure to visit Cathy, while she is on the mend, to bring her food, as do many of the wonderful neighbors. Cathy finds herself meeting new people and surprised how generous and nice they have been to her.

In a short time, Duke and Cathy both find themselves falling for each other. She will tell him her story of being on the run from her ex-husband and why. Cathy is also very giving, and is always willing to help others. This endears her to town residents, especially after a video is released showing Cathy arguing with a private investigator (her ex hired him), and mentioned that her husband was trying to find her to kill her. The local newspaper prints the story, as well as the video and the main newspapers get hold of this story. The ex-husband is in a bind, as everyone learns the truth, with his peers threatening him.

What follows is wonderful heartwarming & emotional story, with a great couple, wonderful characters that we keep meeting in all our visits to Blessings. Duke and the town open their arms to Cathy, especially as she uses her money, which she had from her divorce settlement to help those in need. Once the threat was over, it was nice to see a few chapters and epilogue of Cathy, Duke and the town bonding with each other. I love returning to Blessings, which is a wonderful community who takes care of their own. We should all be blessed with living in Blessings.

Sharon Sala writes another delightful story in a wonderful small town, and great couples that we care about with each and every book. Blessings, Georgia always gives the vibe of a perfect place you would love to live in. If you enjoy a pure romance, wonderful characters, great couples, and a small-town atmosphere, then you should be reading this series. Once in a Blue Moon was a wonderful read, written so very well by Sharon Sala.

The continue saga of the people in Blessings Georgia. in this story we meet Cathy who is getting out of an abusive marriage to Las Vegas Billionaire Blaine Wagner only to have him threatened her. Cathy decides to disappear from Vegas and ends up in Blessings. She meets Duke Talbot after spraining her ankle while going for a jog and so starts their romance. Their friendship to romance is a quick one but yet believable. As with pass stories their is a theme of the hero/heroine overcoming a trial/hardship. We get to meet up again with past characters Dan and Alice Amos etc. A sweet read that will have you smiling all the way through. Arc giving by netgalley.

Another great book by Sharon Sala . She has added to her Blessings series when Cathy Terry shows up and rents a home for cash as she is afraid of her ex husband who has threatened her life. She is out running when she falls and Duke Talbot takes her to the hospital food medical care. Duke seemed unable to stop thinking about her. It also reunites with other residents of Blessings, Georgia in prior books. As Cathy is healing she finds out that Blessings and the town people are there for her. This gives her a feeling of belonging. Will Duke and Cathy have a future ? Will Cathy plan to stay in Blessing? I loved this book and hope there are more Blessings stories to come. Thank you Net Galley for allowing me to read and review this book.
