For the record, I adore every Sharon Sala book I have ever read. I’m more of a suspense or psychological thriller fan but every once in a while you need to enter a more caring world—This book is book 10 of the Blessings series. Blessings is a fictional town where the people are always there for each other to get through the hard times and celebrate the happy times.
The heroine of this book, Cathy, is recently divorced from a man who abused her. She runs away to Blessings because apparently her ex still has it out for her. In Blessings, she tries to find safe harbor. She thinks she may achieve that but will her husband find her and ruin the life she has tentatively started to build for herself? Well you’ll have to read and see.
This story has a little more grit as domestic violence is a very serious problem, but it’s handled with care. The details are just enough to make you care but not enough to make you cringe. Positivity, love and community are always at the core of this series. However, don’t start it late at night because you will not want to put it down..

If you love reading about wholesome romance story with a bit of women fiction genre, then you will love reading this book. It's such heart-warming romance read that you will root for the characters to stay together no matter what the past brings.

Once in a Blue Moon was an amazing book! Sharon Sala is one of my favorite authors and all her books are my Must reads!! I can't wait for next book!

Can you ever trust again? Cathy knows that she had choice but to leave as she knew that her ex would come for her one day. She has found a new home in Blessings, Georgia where she is safe & be free. She just didn't expect to meet Duke Talbot and to find out that this caring man could be the one Duke hasn't found the one that has been looking for until now and he will do whatever he has to keep everyone safe.

Coming back to Blessings, GA is like meeting old friends. I"m always thrilled to meet someone new and keep up with the "old" characters. They certainly don't have to be read in order, but it's nice if you are able to do so. As usual, Blessings pulls out all the stops to care for and protect Cathy Terry as she determines to start her life over. Duke is a hero in all senses of the word and this was a beautiful sit-in-the-swing-and-read weekend read!

Blessings and Once In A Blue Moon sound magical just like Sharon Sala and her books. Wonderful love stories and heart warming characters are just the perfect recipe for romance lovers!

This is one of those series that can be read as standalone stories in pretty much any order. I have read all of them so far and always enjoy a visit to Blessings, Georgia. Each story has someone ending up in Blessings either looking for something/someone or they are running away from something/someone. Blessings is a haven for these people and the other residents welcome them with open arms. In this story, Cathy Terry has run from LasVegas after her divorce. She knows that her ex-husband would just as soon have her disappear than worry that she might let out some of his secrets. She ends up in Blessings for a few months to regroup, but the magic that seems to happen when someone injured or damaged shows up, is about to make it her new home.

There are several things happening in this story from cattle rustling, stalking, poverty to love, caring, forgiveness, community and generosity. There is a poor section of town where the residents are not only poor, but their homes they rent are falling apart around them. Cathy wants to help and sets her mind to it. Meanwhile her ex-husband hires a PI to find her and let him know where she is, so there is some stalking and some suspenseful moments. Of course there is romance as there is in all these books. This is a light read, with a happy ending. This is a faith based story so there is some talk about God, scriptures and church although it is not a major part of the story. I enjoy this uplifting series, as it always makes me smile.

Another great BLessing ,Georgia story that will warm your heart. A little mystery, intrigue and love. What a wonderful treat to return to Blessings, Georgia. This is book 10 in the Blessings series and it's another winner. Duke Talbot gets his own story when Cathy Terry arrives in town. She seems to be a calamity waiting to happen and he's the one to come to her rescue. While out jogging she falls and Duke picks her up and takes her to the hospital. In the town of Blessings such goings on fuel the do good chain. This story has Christian values but no preaching. I love story and of course the next book is set up at the end of this one. A feel good read that is perfect for all ages. Can be read as a stand alone but it gives updates for all the previous couples and you will want their background stories. I received a copy of this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.

This was my first in the Blessings, Georgia series and I left wanting to read more. Ms. Sala creates a beautiful town, quirky and warm. This book features Duke and newcomer Cathy Terry, who is escaping a vengeful ex-husband. A great story that can be read as a stand alone or with the series.

This is my first Sharon Sala book. I have often read reviews of others who recommend her, so I was eager to try this story. I enjoyed visiting the town of Blessings, GA. Blessings is filled with a sense of community and an abundance of its unique residents. I love the idea of living in a place where people help each other without pause. At times, I felt the character point of view shifted too much for my taste. Our main characters are Cathy and Duke. Their unplanned meet-cute was sweet and perfect for this couple. I enjoyed their story. I would definitely read another Sharon Sala book. If you enjoy Brenda Novak or RaeAnn Thayne, you will enjoy Sharon Sala.

I enjoyed this book. The small-town background, the great friendly characters, and a great romance with a stranger who has been threatened. I couldn’t put it down. I recommend this book.

This series is so easy to connect with and Blessings, Georgia is the kind of town that I want to be a part of. Sala brings so much emotion and energy to her books while creating a cozy, touching tale with elements of danger and a sense of disquiet. The romance and pacing of the novel is spot on, with arresting characters and vivid details throughout. I really enjoyed the growth and acceptance as the protagonists faced present issues while dealing with the past. Recommended for fans of heartwarming contemporary women's fiction in small-town settings.

Once in a Blue Moon is the tenth book in the Blessings, Georgia series but I feel like it was fine reading it as a stand-alone. It was paced perfectly and once I started reading it, I couldn’t put it down. It was full of family camaraderie, humor, intense emotions, danger, and romance. It was easy to read, and the storyline was developed. The town of Blessings was wonderful, and the town’s people were heart-warming.
Duke Talbot wasn’t a very social man but something about Cathy caught his attention. He couldn’t quit worrying about her or get her out of his thoughts. He admired her courage and strength and wanted to create a future with her. Cathy Terry was on the run from her rich ex-husband who threatened to kill her. She ends up in Blessings and plans on staying there through the winter. She tries to keep to herself but after falling during her morning run, she comes to the attention of Duke. After her ex-husband’s private investigator finds her, she decides it is time to stop running from him. She wants to settle down and stay in Blessings so she decides it’s time to take matters into her own hands.

Once in a Blue Moon by Sharon Sala is a heartfelt contemporary romance. The heroine is suffering from nightmares and fears of her ex coming to get her. She has escaped him for the time being but his threat of making her sorry has kept her in worry. Then, she moves away for safety. The hero enters the story and he's the kind of man she needs in her life. He's everything that guy should be for a woman. He's kind, caring, and a hard worker. The more he spends with the woman the more he likes her. There's only one thing keeping them from really moving forward. The ex-husband is on a mission to make hell for his ex-wife. Trouble comes and it will be a test of trust and strength for the protagonists.

Another great title on the Blessings, Georgia series! I just love the author and the way she writes this awesome small town and the people. I highly recommend this series and author to my patrons who enjoy small town romance stories.

I love Sharon Sala’s Blessings, Georgia series, and this one was no exception. They are filled with positivity and generally not too complicated, and this one was no exception. I felt that the conflict Cathy found herself engaged in wrapped up a bit quickly/cleanly to be realistic, but I read books like this an escape from an otherwise complicated world, so things like this don’t typically bother me.

Blessings, Georgia is a place filled with good people, good food, and good gossip. If you are looking for a clean, romantic escape, this maybe just the book for you!
