Three Single Wives is a very entertaining read that I just loved.

One dead body after a vociferous discussion at the book club !

Who was the murderer?

The book is told from different points of view, all the characters had flaws which endeared them to me .

Can you guess the ending? I could not.

Great read, cant wait to get a copy.

Thanks to NetGalley, Sourcebooks Landmark for allowing me to try and figure out who did it!!!

This was just okay for me. The plot was meh and it wasn’t unlike anything else.

Three women, two of them married and one deceased tool of a husband with literally every character having a motive to murder! This is the plot of Three Single Wives by Gina LaManna and I loved every second of it! I’d spend one chapter of the book thinking one of the characters was most certainly the murderer only to change my mind in the next chapter. Guessing, guessing, and more guessing as I turned the pages! As I’ve said before, if you can keep me guessing, you’ll keep me reading and more than likely make me a fan for life!

Each chapter starts with a court transcript of the Prosecution questioning the woman the chapter is narrated by, which is one of three women the story follows. I’ll forgo rehashing the summary, you can read this on your own. The characters are finely tuned and emotive, each with their own back history making them vulnerable to the murder victim. The plot is tight, it is twisty and it wraps up beautifully! The ending left me with a deeply satisfied sigh that I don’t always get in some of the more open-ended books and I’m left to my own conclusions. Three Single Wives is a clever thriller with a mystery at heart and I look forward to reading more from Ms. LaManna.

Thank you to Source Books for the copy of Three Single Wives for an honest review. I really enjoyed this book. Told from multiple POVs three women have a night of too much drinking and story telling, only to find that in the morning there is a dead body and everyone is a suspect. Maybe it isn't such a great idea to drink, and "pretend" plot a murder and talk about "how to". So when a little harmless fun becomes a reality their worlds are turned upside down. The switch between POVs was well executed. The characters were very likable and not too dramatized, and the author added little quirks to each of them to throw you off the "who done it" trail, which I really liked. The chapters were good, and not too long with some court type/transcript which kept it flowing, and allowing for more secrets to come out as well. Three Single Wives kept me guessing until the end, and I thought I had it figured out but was pleasantly surprised! A solid 4 stars for me! Thank you so much again at sourcebooks and netgalley for the copy.

A really fun murder mystery. Will keep most readers guessing throughout.

I figured out the whodunnit pretty early on. But I loved the unfolding of the story.

None of the characters were truly reliable. All could’ve been guilty. None were 100% likable. Yet, I somehow liked them all!

I loved the format as well. The flipping back and forth of events and trial documents made the pacing feel quicker to me.

I haven’t read a great novel for a couple of months and am so glad that I came across this one. I must say that it kept me well entertained. All of the characters were interesting, and I kept going back and forth on the suspect. I usually figure out the culprit before the end of the book, but this one kept me guessing. I will look forward to reading more by this author.

Wow this was a great read! Three friends attend a book club and after a night of drinking there’s a dead body and the ladies are on trial. There’s 2 wives and one who wants to be. The POV toggles between present and last 8 months of the ladies’ life and what led to that tragic night. It’s a quick read & suspenseful with a twisty ending! Thank you to Sourcebook Landmark, NetGalley, and Gina LaManna for an ebook copy in exchange for my honest review.

Eliza, Anne, and Penny are women from different backgrounds who come together for a book club. During one get together, the subject of cheating spouses and revenge is broached. Shortly thereafter, Eliza’s husband Roman is found dead, and it’s determined that each woman had cause for motive. ⁣
This breezy yet sharp read kept me on my toes until the final reveal. The story begins shortly before the ill fated book club event, and we get to know the inner lives of each woman and how they came together. I found myself really relating to Penny and Anne more so than I did than Eliza, and I looked foreward to their chapters. I never felt like enough time was devoted to Eliza as much as the other women, and thus I couldn’t connect to her. The dialogue was real and you felt like you were eavesdropping on a group of girlfriends at brunch, and the secrets and situations the characters got into weren’t far fetched like in other domestic thrillers. In between each chapter are court transcripts from Roman’s murder trial, which helped add more depth to the secrets the women were hiding. The final reveal as to Roman’s killer came as a complete surprise to me. ⁣
I quite enjoyed the character development and overall mystery of this book, and plan to seek out Gina LaManna’s other works

All four of these women meet for a book club featuring Marguerite's book. Eliza has promised Marguerite fame and money if she hires her to be her publicist. The four women talk about what each one of them would do if their partner's were cheating. By the next day a man is dead and they are all suspects. Alternates chapter's with short trial transcripts with three of four of the women. The ending was a surprise to me which is a good thing. This was a fast read although the plot has been overdone. This one was okay but not one of my favorites.

Three Single Wives is a clever "who dun it" and kept me invested for hours! I read this book in one sitting not only because it held my interest through and through, but because I found the plot and these women to be addicting! I highly recommend this one.

I've had this book for awhile...it's taken me some time to actually get into it. I really liked the idea of the book and was super excited about it. A book club only reviewing important books.
However, this one never grabbed my interest. I ended up skimming most of it sadly. I was a huge fan of pretty guilty women but this almost felt like a repeat. It just didn't work for me.

Thanks to Netgalley for my advanced ebook copy.

It was intriguing enough to keep on going.
All in all, it was a good read.
It had me guessing on who the murderer was.
It was fast-paced and interestingly well written.

This really is an addictive read even though it does get a bit wordy, however, there was no way I could not know how it would all play out in the end. Once you start it's all or nothing.

I loved this book!

At one point or another I suspected everyone in it of being the killer. It was easy to keep the different POV's straight and I enjoyed that while all of the characters were flawed each was also sympathetic in her own way.

Throw in a satisfying conclusion and I'm a happy girl!

We have been in lockdown for over two weeks & I was looking for an escape. This book provided me with this I honestly kept changing my mind as to what was going to happen & who had done it. The writer ensured that the ending wasn't obvious & it was really well written

This was so good. I read her previous novel Pretty Guilty Women and I loved it so much. I loved the soap opera vibe to it and the characters. I felt the characters in Three Single Wives were no different from the characters in Pretty Guilty Women and I loved that. The storyline was well written and developed. Gina LaManna is my new favorite author!!
