Being a bit of a veteran of romantic chick lit I thought I'd read through every setting imaginable for the will they / won't they story. But a novel set in a bookshop campervan was a new one on me!

Initially I was cynical that I'd enjoy the story, with nothing I could immediately relate to in the setting or the main characters. But I found that it was pure escapism, with a trip through France (and its culinary delights) thrown in for good measure.

Aria's Travelling Book Shop is a great read, with charming characters and engaging language. I challenge you to not start daydreaming about the 'Van Lifer' lifestyle!

A lovely book with a real feel good theme to it. It comes with emotion in bucket loads alongside great friendship and some good old fashioned will they won't they..

Aria is a very lovable character and a woman after my own heart with her love of reading and an attitude of no book left behind! She travels around in her camper van bookshop with her friend Rosie in one van supplying her with no end of delicious sounding food and Rosie's partner Max in another, being a good guy and supportive friend. I enjoyed the descriptions of their nomadic lifestyle journeying from place to place, exploring and meeting new people. This story definitely made me wish I could go on holiday to France, explore old towns and eat a lot of croissants!

Although Aria gives the impression of being happy-go-lucky and perfectly content with her single lifestyle, she doesn't tell many people that she lost her husband TJ to cancer a few years ago. The author approaches Aria's grief with great sensitivity and the story explores whether she could be ready to find love again with the lovely Jonathan, while trying to come to terms with the past.

I really enjoyed this book, it's the perfect story to read on holiday in the sunshine. I hadn't read the previous book relating to this one, 'Rosie's Travelling Tea Shop' but didn't feel left behind by the story, although I'm sure it would have been better to have read that one first to know Rosie and Max's story as well.

This is such a lovely, heartwarming read, I've given it 4 out of 5 stars.

This book makes a very good read and I enjoyed it so much. Loved the characters and they really came to life. I give this 5 stars , well done Rebecca for a great book.

This book follows Van lifer Aria. Aria is a self-confessed bookworm, so much so that she regularly falls asleep with a book stuck to her face. In the last 3 years, she has been through hell. The love of her life died and needed someone to blame his whole family have cut her off. Aria has been travelling ever since and is now on her way to France with some other van lifers. I immediately warmed to Aria. Her passion for books and her love of life is so endearing. I wanted to help her lose that part of her that was sad. I didn't want her to forget her husband but I wanted to bring the light back into her life.

I loved meeting all the other van lifers and travelling through France. Van life is not for everyone but these guys really make it sounds like fun. But don't be fooled, while these guys have a tonne of fun there are also some real deeper issues that are explored. Loss and grief and how losing someone affects your whole life. We also see how you can come out the other side of it stronger and wanting to live life to the fullest.

I love Rebecca's writing. I have been a fan of Rebecca for many years and seeing her grow over her books is a privilege. This one will fill up your whole heart. The characters are realistic, funny, and a bit bruised.

I really enjoyed Aria's story and I can't wait to catch up on my blacklist of Rebecca's books.

I loved all of the characters in this book, especially my fellow bibliophile Aria; I warmed to her immediately. I'm jealous of the lifestyle Aria and her friends lead, travelling around in their campervans, and I now want a campervan-cum-bookshop to travel the world in! The lifestyle has clearly been well researched, and I enjoyed learning more about it.

As well as a story of love and romance, it also contains loss and grief but this is neatly interwined and feels realistic; sympathetic but not too heavy or overwhelming to the reader. Although obviously sad at times, the book also feels uplifting, positive and sunny.

When I requested this book from Netgalley, I did not know it was a sequel to another book. However, this did not matter; the book can easily be read as a standalone series.

A great uplifting summer read!

This book just makes you smile. You meet again the loveable characters who lead you by the hand into their lives. an easy reading book which allows you to relax and enjoy the simplicity of living in a camper van. You become envious of the friendships within its pages. A book to cheer you up.

My first Rebecca Raisin read and I very much enjoyed it.

I've been struggling to get into books recently with my attention diverted by the news, teaching children at home and the recent changes.

However this book proved just the ticket. A lovely, well-paced and heartwarming read. I will definitely look out for more from the same author.

Aria has gone on a nomadic trip to France in her camper van/bookstore having been persuaded by best friend Rosie to go on an adventure whilst Aria is still struggling to get over the her husband’s untimely death from cancer.

This is a lovely story that follows Aria’s emotional and physical journey through France and the people she meets old and and new. Beautifully written and you can really place yourself in all the romance and historical site along the way. Really enjoyed this book though fairly lighthearted book it did make you think about how Aria deals and Tjs family with Tjs death in the prime of his life. Really enjoyable read.

This is a pleasant but rather lightweight read, ideal for the trying times we are currently going through. For someone who has stayed on French campsites there are aspects of the story which do not ring true. The relationship aspects of the book are more believable. Feel-good chick-lit.

This was a lovely read, perfect for a reading afternoon with a cup of your favourite tea.

We follow the story of Aria, a book lover and a book vendor that sells books from her van whilst driving throughout magnificent places with other people that have their own pop-up stores in their vans.

Before the love story I would like to say that I loved the friendship story between Rosie and Aria. They seem like perfect companions and their story reminded me of my own best friend and how lucky I am to have her. I loved their interactions, their talks, and their figuring out life tricks on the way. It is beautifully written and it is one of the highlights in the books.

I enjoyed reading Aria's thoughts on her widow life and how she is managing to get through each day whilst still being herself but at the same time finding something new in her life to be happy and positive about.

The descriptions of the sights and French food is spot on and I felt like being there and enjoying all the food.

Things that I didn't like are things that don't seem very realistic to me.-they are travelling through France and she manages to sell enough books in English to French people. :/ I know a lot of French and they would never buy a romance book in English in their own country! Their language is one of the most sacred things to them.

I would have preferred if we knew a little bit more about Jonathan and his way of thinking and overall more interaction between two of them. I know it's Aria's story but Jonathan is THE person that helped her to see things a little bit differently.

And last - the first chapters are really longish for a feel-good book. I wanted to put it down several times because they were too long.

And the biggest highlight of the book is about Aria's husband and his words to her and how he captured everything that's beautiful in love in his diary. It made me cry happy and sad tears all in one. :)

I wanted to give 3 stars to the book but reflecting back and reading my review it is definitely 4 stars. :)

Last year I read and reviewed about the hilarious and often perilous adventures of Rosie in Rosie's Travelling Tea Shop where we first were introduced to Rosie and Aria so, naturally, I was anxious to continue on the journey with these van-lifers. I'm thrilled that I did!

Unlike Rosie, whose unspeakably awful husband walked out on her, which led to her joining the life of the van-lifers, Aria's husband and the love of her life died three years old. Aria was devastated by the loss and swore that she never would love another soul again - outside of those found in her beloved books. But then she met Jonathan last year at the final festival of the season. Now he has shown up on the tour circuit again and, despite their attraction, Aria is determined to stay true to her oath. As the travelling vans wind their way through Paris, the city of love, will she be able to keep her feelings in the check or will Paris take over her heart and allow her a second chance at love?

There are very few romance authors who I truly love and enjoy reading and, let me tell you, Rebecca Raisin is right there at the top of my list of favorites! Her characters are realistically funny, heart-breaking and lovable, their humor is very much like my own and the story lines always are interesting and FUN! I find myself reading these books in one sitting because, once started, I cannot stop until I know how they end. This series is particularly interesting because I find the travelling vans so intriguing. I think this would be a lifestyle that I would enjoy and so reading about their triumphs as well as their pitfalls is very compelling. Obviously, I recommend Aria's Travelling Book Shop to all, as well as the first in the series, Rosies Travelling Tea Shop. Read them both and enjoy!!

A lovely story about overcoming grief, the healing power of books, and a wonderful homage to romance novels and authors!

After losing her husband, TJ, to cancer three years ago, Aria had been living a nomadic life as a ‘Van Lifer’ and selling books is her trade. Now, she and her best friend, Rosie, are heading to France!

The last person Aria expected to run into was Jonathan- the man that has awakened feelings she thought had died with TJ.

But. despite her attraction to Jonathan, she prefers to enjoy romance vicariously, via her beloved romance novels, because she has promised TJ, she would never fall in love again. He was her once in a lifetime true love and no one will ever be able to take his place in her heart.

However, when Aria’s estranged mother-in-law forwards her TJ’s diary, it is both a blessing and an emotional drain. While reading TJ’s words, Aria feels his presence,as though he is sending Aria a clear message-one she can’t bring herself to accept.

With the help of Rosie’s gentle urgings, TJ’s diary, and Jonathan’s easy charm, Aria begins to entertain the possibility of giving love another chance. Can she make peace with her in laws and open her heart up to love a second time?

While the story is not heavy, be assured there is plenty of depth and emotion to it. I pulled out one of my precious, rationed tissues on at least one occasion. I also loved how prominently romance novels were featured- reminding me of how healing and cathartic love stories are, especially when one’s mind and heart are troubled. Aria has pretty good taste in books, giving a shoutout to a few great authors along the way. (Maeve Binchey is an author everyone should read at least once.)

For those who read the first book in this series, Rosie and Max are very involved in this second installment and have a few surprises coming their way too.

Anytime I pick up a book by Rebecca Raisin it’s a real treat. I’ve been a fan for a good while now and it has been a pleasure to see how well this author has blossomed as a writer and storyteller. This story is a wonderful, cathartic tale that will appeal to book lovers in general, but it will especially touch those who are romantics at heart. Aria’s journey is poignant and bittersweet as she searches her soul, fighting her way through grief and loneliness.

This is a touching story, which ultimately leads Aria to consider a future full of promise, hope and new beginnings. Raisin’s stories are good, healthy, uplifting stories that are good for the soul. But, this past week, this book has been a soothing balm for me. This is just the type of gentle, heart lifting story we could all use right now.

An easy to read book, which takes the reader on travels through some great sounding places.

The story is easy to keep up with, and the characters all likeable.

I haven't read the first book in the series but I don't think that mattered too much.

I was fortunate to receive a copy of this book to read from NetGalley.

It's a lovely story with each character owning a van that is relevant to their passions. In Aria's case this is books. The simplicity of their lives reminded me of Enid Blyton tales in a way!

I thought the author dealt with the aspects of Aria's grief really well and as a similar age to Aria and married, the feelings really touched me.

I have now discovered one of the characters, Rosie, also has a book about her "van life" so I'm looking forward to reading that!

This is a very easy read and a cute story. A good summer read.

This is a lighthearted read about Aria and her bookshop. 

The storyline drew me in from the first chapter and it kept me reading until the very end.

Rebecca Raisin is amazing, I absolutely love her books, she is the master of emotional reads, you will be crying and then laughing before you know it. I loved being back in this world as I was lucky enough to read Rosie’s Travelling Tea Shop and this is just as fabulous, returning here was like a hug from a good friend. You feel like you know the characters, everything is warm and inviting. The story pulls you along for the ride from the very first page and you want to both hug Aria and cheer her on. This is the perfect read for this situation as it heartwarming and you know you will leave with a smile. This is a bear hug in a book, just what we all need at the moment.

I loved this book, pure and simple.
It has everything I need from a story, love, laughter and ugly cries.
You will experience friendship, romance, grief, guilt, and forgiveness when you join Aria on her journey to find her new normal, along with her best friend and a motley crew of new friends they meet on their life on the road.
The perfect 5 star read to lose yourself in during lockdown.
