A story with the air of mystery around it, that kept me engaged to the end. While trying to discover figures in the dark, one twist was coming after another. Had a nice smooth flow and the first person narrative made me live inside the characters environment. The ending was predictable though, but didn't have a problem with this since I liked the plot a lot.

WTAF?!

This was an insane thriller. I figured out half of the big revelations early on, but oh my great and glorious God, I didn't see the other half coming from a mile away... Normally that would be a great thing, but here it felt overdone. This was the mother of all reveals - literally. And it actually made me laugh out loud. Also literally.

The story is an entertaining, if not altogether original, one. Admittedly, it felt a lot longer than it actually was. There was never a point where I thought about stopping, but there were several where it felt like the parade of horribles heaped on her characters was simply overwhelming the story. But I knew something was coming, and I was invested enough to see what that something would look like.

The writing was enjoyable throughout, the characters were generally detestable in the way of such domestic thrillers, and the secrets were pretty predictable - but it was an engaging read for all that. Then Things Started Being Revealed (yes, it deserves caps) and the book went from zero to sixty in about a half a second.

Personally, I found the ending a bit ridiculous. But I still read all the way through, and would read another from Mina Hardy. She did an admirable job getting me to fall into a story full of people that weren't very likeable, and I suspect it's because she'd made them so believable. For all their failures and faults and frailties, the characters seemed real and genuine in their broken selfishness. It made the story resonant even (especially?) when it was not pleasant. It made for a taut read and provided more than adequate cover for the moments that felt overdone.

This book was twisted! I read the ending and said, "wait, what?" Read it again and thought "no way!" I kept changing my mind on which character was the good guy vs a bad guy. In the end, all of the characters were kind of unlikeable. The main character Diana drinks lots of white wine. I had to pour myself a glass because the ending left me speechless.

Once I got hooked into After All I've Done, I couldn't put it down. It's the kind of domestic thriller that has a strong balance of unreliable narration, red herrings, and constant twists. Even though I figured out some of the reveals, there was at least one big one that I didn't see coming.

I found it a little disorienting to jump between multiple perspectives that had changing timelines. I often had to recalibrate to check where I was in the overall storyline. It unfortunately took a little bit away from the pacing, but not enough that I didn't understand what was going on.

Incredible. A story about surgery induced amnesia makes you feel like you are also piecing together the main character’s life. And when those pieces start to come together, you wonder if there is a reason she forgot

#After All I've Done #Net Galley

I was hooked from the teaser, "She's lost her best friend, her husband - and possibly, her mind". This book will keep your interest from the first chapter. I kept thinking - what, what, WHAT! As I read of the sad experience of Diana Sparrow's life in her confused state after the terrible car accident, I couldn't wait to find out what happened, just as she did. It was horrific to feel alone, but to realize you have been betrayed by all those closest to you is dreadful. Kudos to Ms. Hardy for another terrific thriller!

"Letting someone die is not the same as killing them."

This one, for me, was a little slow to start with. We meet Diana a few months after she's nearly killed in a car accident. With two broken collarbones and arms both in slings, she is unable to fend for herself and has to rely heavily on her mother in law Harriet. But something is very, very wrong.
About halfway in, the story starts to speed up and I was really hooked. There was so much going on, so many unanswered questions.
While Diana tried to remember exactly what happened before her accident, she starts noticing strange things happening and begins to wonder if she's going mad. Or is someone messing with her?
I was completely surprised by the ending. That moment when you make sense of everything was such a wow moment. It made for a really great ending.
Highly recommend.

Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to review this.

The plot twist was predictable and not very surprising, but somehow I was hooked throughout the book.

A dysfunctional family. Affairs and secrets. A accident and amnesia. Quick read but several twists. This is a great read that keeps you guessing and the drama is exhausting!

A fantastic book with lots of twists and turns. The story is based on a wife who has had an accident which leaves her dependent on others whilst she recuperates from her injuries. The issue is that she has a huge black hole in her memory for the months before the accident. The main character is well introduced but the author cleverly writes so you are unsure of the intentions of her loved ones and family. Great twists throughout absolutely loved it

This was the first book I’ve read by Mina Hardy and it was a doozy. Dysfunctional family, amnesia, unreliable narrators and a huge twist at the end kept this thriller moving and unputdownable to the very end.

This compelling book is written from three perspectives: Diana, who is married to Jonathan, Diana’s closest friend Valerie, with whom Jonathan is having an affair, and Cole. I really enjoyed this book, with lots of unexpected twists and turns.

Wow...this was a very fast paced, addictive read! The story goes mainly between four characters Diana, her husband Jonathon, her best friend Val and her mother-in-law, Harriett. The friendships between all are certainly not your average, everyone and everything keeps you guessing. And the ending...I truly never saw that coming. Not at all! This is a new-to-me author, I’ll definitely be looking for other titles by her. A great gripping story.

This book left me speechless! It was so good! Wow! I was shocked by the twist and I truly love a good unpredictable book. After All I've Done follows Diana Sparrow. She has lost a good chunk of her memory after a car accident (or was it an accident??) and attempts to figure out what has gone wrong w her life. Her husband is quite possibly cheating on her and her life just seems to be falling apart. There are twists upon twists in this book and I read it cover to cover in about two hours. What a fantastic read for anyone looking for a good book I highly recommend this one!!

My thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a free ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Anaesthesia-induced amnesia. Yes, it is a thing!

After a car accident, followed by an emergency gall-bladder surgery, Diana's amnesia is localized between two points in time and she remembers everything before that. With a healing collar bone and under the watchful eyes of her mother-in-law, who lives next door, she tries to grasp at straws to come to terms with her surroundings. Faced with a million questions about her past, and trying to dull her pain with wine, she walks through her life as if it were a dream, until a revelation knocks her off her feet. Why is her best friend ignoring her, did she kill somebody? These are some of the questions her drug-addled mind wrestles with.

Despite being forewarned about a mindblowing twist in the tale, this one completely flabbergasted me. As I read this book, I kept nit-picking each detail wondering what it could be. Although I did guess part of it, there were more surprises in store for me.

Beautifully written, with each layer of the mystery enticingly peeled away to show a part of the hidden past, this story made for a perfect thriller. A true page-turner, I absolutely had to know what happened next, and it led to my burning the midnight oil. The twists and turns kept me on my toes, second-guessing myself and the finale was just something.

The narration was from the perspective of three people, Diana, her best friend Valerie and her boyfriend Cole. I would have loved to know what was on Diana's husband's mind throughout the narrative, but then some things are best left to the readers' mind to conjure.

This book was the perfect remedy to get my mind off the current troubled times, but you will have to wait till November for its release. But as soon as it is out, don't forget to grab a copy and I know you will thank me for the recommendation. I thank @netgalley and @crookedlanebooks for giving me this ARC in exchange for an honest opinion.

Diana Sparrow's husband is cheating on her with her best friend. This is one of the few things she knows and remembers, as she was badly injured in a car crash, which left her with two broken collarbones, anesthesia induced amnesia, and a recurring vivid nightmare. The nightmares lead her to believe that something more sinister may have happened during the crash that she can't remember, and along with perspectives of additional characters, including her ex-best friend Val and a stranger named Cole looping back and forth between the days, months and years before and after the accident, she painstakingly attempts to figure out exactly what happened that night - but will she end up regretting this investigation?

I never get tired of these kinds of tropes. I.e., the main character loses their memory, and we follow along with them on the journey of picking up the pieces of the puzzle and putting it back together. Hardy does a good job of dropping subtle hints throughout the book to keep you hooked, and make you feel like you're seeing the fuzzy outline of a memory before it is fully exposed. A lot of these hints are so subtle that I didn't think anything of it until the end, when I said "oh, so that's why that person did this/said this" etc. It was also really interesting to see why certain things were set into motion before Diana's accident, and how things quickly began to unravel for everyone involved.

There's no doubt that Hardy is a talented writer. The prose and syntax made this story an engaging one that was easy to read, but the twist at the end really felt like it was just added for shock value. A huge bombshell gets dropped and then it feels like it doesn't fully detonate, but slowly fizzles instead of exploding. Everything was tied together, but it felt like it was done so loosely, and I finished the book feeling unfulfilled. With that being said, I don't know that this will stop me from picking up anything else by Hardy in the future.

Such a great read! A women, Diana is in a car wreck and loses her memory. She has nightmares that seem so real and makes her question everything everyone is telling her what happened. She starts to doubt what they are all saying. Even her hush and seems to not be telling her the truth. As her memory comes back, she finds out all isn’t the truth that happened and she really isn’t such a great person! Very good thriller!

This book had my attention from start to finish. There was several chapters written from different peoples perspectives which made it very interesting. I was connected to the characters. I absolutely loved the ending. Well done Mina.

Wow! I flew through this book. A woman has a car accident and has amnesia for the previous couple of months of her life. But this story has plenty of twists and turns. I never saw the final outcome!
I have not read anything by this author before but will definitely be looking out!

While the beginning of After All I’ve Done is a bit slow, the drive to uncover the truth in the tale is what really made me keep reading. The story follows Diana and Johnathan’s slowly dissolving marriage after a car accident where Diana loses her memory. Johnathan’s mother, Harriet, is all to eager to coddle Diana back to care the way she coddled Johnathan all his life.

I wish I could add more about the story but it would spoil a story that I highly recommend you read upon its publication!

Into the middle of the book, I really felt like things were being dwelled on a little too much for my taste and that there seemed to be a lack of substance in the novel. Once I got a little more than halfway through the book, I started to feel differently as the suspense ramps up.

The mystery of what happened in the months of Diana’s life she can’t remember slowly come together into one intense, sick, and shocking end.
