This book was so good. Read it in one sitting. I was fully enthralled until 95% and then it lost me. It was a twisted turn, it honestly ruined the book for me. Too bad. Abuse this was awesome.

After All I've Done by Mina Hardy is a thriller that fans of The Woman in the Window and The Girl on the Train will love!

5 months ago, Diana is in a car accident and after surgery she ends up with anesthesia-induced amnesia; she can't remember the last 6 months. She's been having nightmares about the night of the accident, ones that feel so real, but don't match up with what she's been told happened.
Her husband is having an affair with her best-friend. Her mother in law, while being very caring, is driving her crazy. The dreams become to real to ignore and Diana struggles to find out what really happened that night.
.
This was one that was hard to put down, full of suspense! The characters were well written, I really felt for Diana and her struggle with the inability to control anything. I did see part of the reveal coming but there was definitely a crazy twist I didn't see coming at all! I would definitely recommend this if you like thrillers!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book...right up until the ending, where the story went completely off the rails. All I could think was, NO. Just NO. The ick factor was too great. The ending ruined an otherwise entertaining read. Thanks to Crooked Lane and NetGalley for offering me the opportunity to read an ARC of After All I've Done for an honest review.

I read 90% of this book in one sitting. I would have finished it except it was very late and I sadly fell asleep. I enjoyed it very much as it was a very fast read that literally kept me saying to myself, just one more chatper. In all honesty, I read the majority of this book thinking that it was predictable and that I had figured out everything. I am DELIGHTED to say that I was very wrong! I did get a couple things guessed correctly, but the ending was a whammy!

This book follows a different character perspective with each chapter. You get the story from the viewpoint of each of them, which does help flesh out why the characters thought and acted as they did. We begin with Diana, who was injured in a car accident as a result, suffers from anesthesia induced amnesia. As she begins the painful road to recovery, she discovers quite a few disturbing things...some that she clearly had an hand in and some she didn't. We follow along as she tries to determine the mess her life has become and the danger she finds herself in as she gets closer and closer to the truth.

Heads up: Diana and Valerie love their white wine....so much so that you will find yourself going to get yourself a bottle as well. Luckily I already had a bottle chilling in the fridge, so I happily indulged along with the girls.

I will rate After All I've Done by Mina Hardy 4/5 stars. If you're searching for a fast paced book to read, this isn't it. The author starts off slowly with the storyline and gradually builds momentum throughout the book. Diana awakens from a coma after a car crash and doesn't remember the past few months of her life. She knows that she is married to Jonathan, but can't quite understand why she isn't in love with him. Her overbearing mother-in-law, Harriett, has been taking care of her since returning home from the accident, while Jonathan has been off frolicking with another woman. Diana's best friend from childhood, Val, hasn't even shown up to help her recover from the accident and she wants to know why. Rather she needs to remember why. The two women have been thru hell and back with one another and have always stood by each other's side. So what was different now? Where was Val when Diana needed her the most? The secrets of the past that bound the two women so closely together should always tie the together, until death... Right? When Diana's friend, Trina, invites her out for a drink to catch up, she runs into Val and it isn't pretty. Val confesses that she has been sleeping with Diana's husband, but here's the kicker... Val tells Diana, you asked me to do it. Of course, Diana has no recollection of doing so and this starts a whirlwind of a mission where Diana tries to recover her memories while facing several obstacles. One mainly being a mother-in-law with a deadly secret that she will protect at any lengths.

What I enjoyed about this book:
The storyline was believable to a certain extent. I really enjoyed the flashbacks to where everything started to go wrong in Diana's life. I enjoyed reading this story from three POV: Diana, Val and Cole (the mystery man who is very much in love with Diana). I picked up on who Harriett really was early on in the story and I knew what she was doing to Diana. I just couldn't understand why Diana never saw this happening. It was brutally obvious.

What I didn't enjoy about this book:
Jonathan... Oh, what a coward he was. A mister "I want my cake but with ice cream too" type of guy. I was so pleased when he got what was coming to him in the end. I didn't like his character one bit. How do you have a wife who is totally dependent on help after a devastating accident at home, and you just leave her to go screw her best friend? What else was that man hiding? Val couldn't possibly have been the only one.
I would say that the slow pace of the book in the beginning of the story almost had this book end up being a DNF, but the author was able to pique my curiosity every time I wanted to put the book down and I am glad she did. This turned out being a very good mystery, especially after Cole was introduced, although it was obvious to me what his role in Diana's life was prior to the accident, both professionally and personally.

All in all, this was an interesting read by this author and I am willing to read another one of their works in the future. I will be recommending this book to others to read. Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for a chance to read this book in exchange for an honest and unbias review.

Thank you to net galley.com for the opportunity to read this ARC. It is a solid 3.75 stars and a great diversion from what is going on in the world today. This mystery thriller hits all the right notes for a satisfying mystery/thriller. We have a number of scenarios in play, but the author keeps track of them and ties everything together in the end. You'll determine pretty quickly who the villains are, but what drove them to these actions (aside from a red sports car) won't be revealed until the last pages. I love a good twist at the end of a book and this one delivers, though it's a bit sordid. As always, an ARC is not in finished form and this one has its share of errors and typos.

This book centers around Diana, who was in a car accident and has amnesia. She had a best friend, Val since she was in high school and current day they are on the outs and she isn’t sure exactly why other than she knows she is sleeping with Diana’s husband. Diana still lives with her husband Jonathon, and his mother, Harriet close by. She thinks of Harriet as the mother she never had. (Diana’s adopted mother was a junkie and passed)
I thought this was a really interesting read. It kept me intrigued the entire time. Only criticism I would really have for it, is it seems like the ending of was abrupt. Other than that, I thought this was a great read and reminds me why I love this genre so much! Thank you #Netgalley for this ARC!

Slightly disappointed but I’ve read this story so many times; not sure when amnesia and dishonest husbands became a trope.

I read a lot of thrillers. Sometimes they are a little bit paint by numbers. You go through and go, hm, yeah, ok, here we have this type of character, and that one, and sure, unreliable narrator, so who knows how this will go...

After All I've Done starts out that way. It switches points of view, split into chapters, and there were times I had to go back and reread whose chapter I was on, because the narration is not distinct enough between the characters, and perhaps because the story didn't grab me for quite a while. I was about halfway through when I realized I'd been hooked and I had to know how it ended.

So kudos for the last half. But the first was hard to stick with. I'd give it a solid 3. The twist was definitely a surprise. But I wouldn't call it amazing or terrible. Just...another thriller.

WHAT. THE. ACTUAL. FUCK. did I just read?!

I was almost convinced it's one badly written novel because I can't fucking understand what the hell's going on, and then suddenly I'm 60% into it and it still doesn't make any sense to me.

But then the last Chapter killed it! Like, Oh My God, it was disgusting, it was crazy, it was sick and it was absolutely fucking good! Yes, I need to swear on every sentence! It was that insane.

4-star rating because I still think it should've given something up on at least 30% into the story or someone might actually DNF it.

Going through it in spite of the confusion and the endless questions on my mind is worth it.

It's about Diana, her amnesia post-accident and her unfaithful husband, her lying bitch of a best friend and her goody mother-in-law. It sounded like a simple family drama right? But NO.. there's more to it than that. You have to read it to figure out.

Thank you NetGalley and Crooked Lane Books for giving me an ARC of this book.

Fairly early on I thought I knew what was happening in this book. I was wrong. About as far wrong as you can get.
Our main character is Diana. The story starts with her recovering from an awful car accident. A side effect of the accident is that Diana has some amnesia. She cannot remember a large chunk of time before the accident.
Diana lives with her husband Jonathon. They do not have any children. Her mother in law Harriet lives in an apartment at their home. She starts to piece together the events leading up to the accident, her brain is understandably confused with recovery and the things she learns surprise and disgust her.
The story is written from a few different points of view which keeps the plot moving and the reader guessing.
This book fits into the thriller category quite well. I would recommend it to anyone who likes a good build up and a suspenseful ending.
I received this book from Netgalley in exchange for a fair and honest review.
A solid 4/5 stars.

Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for gifting me this ARC of After All I’ve Done in exchange for my honest review.

This book was great. I am always a fan of stories told from multiple vantage points. It is always exciting to see how everything ends up intertwining in the end! This novel is about a woman who is recovering from a horrific car accident, but has amnesia from a few months of her life. Things are very different than from when she can actually remember. Her husband, her best friend, and even her own self seem to be.... changed, however she can’t seem to explain why. Things are off. People are off. Events in her own home are off, yet her mother in law, who has been her care taker this entire time insists she is imagining it. Inexplicable events occur from bottles and bottles of wine being emptied to feeling beyond tired for no reason at all. She must get to the bottom of it! Mina Hardy does a magnificent job of jumping from character to character and revealing minute details of the same story that guides readers through their suspicions. I highly recommend this story when it gets published in November of this year! I give it 🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷/5! The wine seems more than appropriate for this story!!

Kept me entertained the whole book, I couldnt wait until the end to figure the whole thing out, and what an ending I didnt see it coming at all.

I really enjoyed this book. Following Diana’s adventure while she tries to fill in the blanks of her accident broke my heart. You could really feel her confusing and emptiness. I also loved the complicated relationship between Diana and Val. And in the end I love that they stood by each other. It’s so rare to see woman at the end actually coming together. And it had such a surprise ending. Not what I was expecting.

Thank you NetGalley for allowing me the opportunity to read this ARC! This story involves Diana and her husband, Diana’s best friend-Val, and Cole. One night Diana is involved in a terrible car crash which wipes out all her previous memories. What was her life like before the crash and why does nothing in her life make sense since that awful night? Then enters a doting mother-in-law and the pieces start to come together. There are so many twists and turns in this book and I didn’t see all of them coming. I love it when a book does that! I did feel like the story line jumped around a bit which made it a little hard to follow, but definitely worth reading. Things really got interesting about 50% of the way through and I couldn’t put this one down. If you love a good thriller/suspense then you’ll like this one!

This was an amazing read that kept me up well into the night. Dianna, Cole and Vals story stuck with me the entire next day. Nina Hardy has a way of connecting you with her characters on a real level and you absolutely get caught up in the world they're living. Nail biting suspense. A complete surprise at the end!!!! Didn't really see that coming! Get this book! It'll be the best of the year! I promise!

Very close to one of the best thrillers I have read all year and the best part is that it is far from predictable. Strong characters? Check. I plot that keeps you guessing? Check. Twists and turns? Double check. Very surprised how much I liked this. But the premise, plot and strong characters kept me going from start to finish and I was like "OMG" come the end. Definitely worthy of a 4 star review. Sure hope this author writes more!

Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and author for an ARC in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

After All I’ve Done
by Mina Hardy
Publish Date 11/10/20

The concept of this book was so great!! The plot twist was something I DID NOT SEE COMING. It left me breathless and screaming “WHOAA, WHAATTTTT??” I got Alice Feehey vibes because of that crazy twist.

Synopsis: After a car accident, Diana wakes up in pain, missing months of time from her memory. She can’t ask her best friend to fill in the cracks since she is sleeping with Diana’s husband. Her mother-in-law is also no help, although she seems to be around ALL.THE.TIME. Diana is having nightmares about the night of the accident that include Diana seeing herself digging in the dirt. She isn’t sure if she killed someone, buried a body, what the dreams mean. As Diana’s life and sanity are torn to pieces the puzzle begins to fall into place…but the final picture is worse than anything Diana could have imagined.

This was a 1 day tear through it read for me!! I enjoyed the pace of the novel and the completely flawed characters. The alternating time lines and perspectives turned me off at times and I did have to flip back to check which person or timeframe I was reading occasionally but it wasn’t enough to make me stop tearing through this novel. Read this one, add it to your #TBR you won’t regret it.

4/5 stars for me.

Thank you @Netgalley and @crookedlanebooks for an advanced copy for my honest review!!
