I enjoyed this book. I found the characters interesting and likeable. I definitely felt invested in the main characters Maggie and Bo and the family, as I was angry that Suzanne and Doug were trying to pull some fast ones over them. I figured that Bonnie had something to do with it, but never suspected that Emily did it. This book has multiple murders so plenty of mystery to go around. #MurderintheBayouBoneyard #NetGalley

Murder....this is a great cozy that takes place at a B&B in Louisiana. It has all the typical components of a cozy but also includes a voodoo priestess and a parrot!
The story moves quickly and the characters are developed though a little bit over the top about family tree. There is an ending that I wasn’t expecting which is always good.
The author includes some recipes in the back (a plus in my book) and a discussion about a plantation in Louisiana.
A cozy is just that a cozy not a work of literature. That said, it gave me a brief break in my day, held my interest till the end and left me wanting to read the other books in the series. Overall a win in my book!

Another great installement in Maggie Crozat series. When nasty relatives descend from Canada and start making trouble for Crozats Maggie and her family are worried that they might lose their beloved B&B. But when those relatives start turning up dead the police from the neighboring town is convinced that Maggie is the culprit. It's up to her, Bo and Rufus to find the real murderers, clear her name and save their home.
