Lady Caroline is vain, direct and honest, who truly wishes for someone to see her for herself and not for her beauty or dowry. Prince Leo spends his time drinking and carousing until he’s trying to save young women from slavery. As they join forces, Leo soon sees Caroline in a new light and passion flares between them.

An enjoyable read, suspense, humorous and romantic.

I received an advance reader copy from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

I've enjoyed all Julia London books and this was no exception. I can't say I liked Leo and Caroline at the beginning. Leo was a snob and Caroline was vain and shallow. So the first couple chapter were interesting and well written but didn't endear me to the H and h. But as the book evolved, the plot developed and they matured/became likeable. I did think there could have been a little more on the nefarious plot. The book was well worth reading like every Julia London book. I would highly recommend this book.

This book was amazing, just as good as the first one (The Princess Plan).
First, this author did a great job of writing where this book could stand on its own. A good summary of the story in the beginning helped to connect dots as the reader was being led through the story. (although, this book is even better if you’ve read the 1st delightful story, The Princess Plan). This book is full of romance, a bit of sass, intrigue and adventure. I loved the story development and can’t wait until the next book comes out!

This is the second book in the series and I didn't enjoy it as much as the first book. Lady Caroline was hard to like with her loud and obnoxious behavior especially her self-conceit. She certainly has a high opinion of herself and is not afraid to tell everyone. Leo wasn't that much better - a spare heir to a small principality who's been living in London cavorting and drinking away his time. That is, until he stumbles upon a sex slavery scandal that reaches to the peers of England. He's made it his mission to save the 5 women who have recently been sold and against his better judgment enlists Caroline's help. I wish the slavery plot point had been explored a little more instead of focussing on Caroline's foray into dressmaking.

While this is not my favorite book, I do enjoy Ms. London's books and will be anxiously waiting her next release.

I have been a fan of this series from the beginning. I want to say I love Caroline. I really loved her in the first book and I was so happy that this book was her story. I enjoyed the banter between her and Prince Leopold. The characters and the plot was very good where the spare prince has no purpose and than finds one and finds love too but their is a caught his is suppose to marry someone else. I will the end would have given more details like a year later etc. I wanted to know if they had kids. Overall a great story. I can't wait for the third book.

I wasn't sure if I was going to enjoy this book - the characters at first did not interest me too much - but I gave it a bit of time and they grew on me. Found I enjoyed the book and the characters.

Just my kind of book. I haven’t read the first book in the series, but as a new reader I was able to follow along (and now I want to read the first one). Swoony romance between Caroline & “the spare” prince Leopold with that hate to love trope we all love. Of course he’s a bit of a cad and the playboy but that’s why we love him. Great writing with romance and intrigue plus humor too.. It’s my first Julia London book, and I definitely want to read more.

Caroline is hard to like. She prejudges people and her conceit is amazing. Leo is the spare prince and he does nothing but flounder around. That all said, they start to change their minds about each other. They work together to stop a slavery ring. The more time they have spent together the more they change. They realize there is more to life then how they had been living it.

A Royal Kiss & Tell is the second book in A Royal Wedding series by Julia London. A truly delightful read that is full of humor, romance, drama, and intrigue. The characters are well-written and easy to relate to. They help to tell a story that is truly breathtaking. A must-read for anyone who loves a sweet historical romance.

A delightful tale of high intrigue in the pages of society. Sweetly humorous, wonderfully romantic. Characters, dialogue and story all perfectly crafted.
I read it in one sitting, one long sitting.
Didn't want to put it down.

I usually love Julia London’s novels, but this one just didn’t do it for me.

There is a lot of disbelief you need to suspend for this novel about the second son of a small, fantasy principality somewhere in Europe during the Victorian era. Unfortunately, both main characters are really immature and self-centered. Prince Leo has been cadding about in England, playing the role of the useless spare heir. He acknowledges that he really hasn’t done anything worthwhile in his entire life - just drinking and sleeping with women. Now he’s attracted to the best friend of his older brother’s new bride.

Caroline is also extremely self-centered, mostly about her looks and clothes. And she’s quite up front about her high self-regard. Of course, she’s also attracted to Prince Leo. He is at first appalled at her outspokenness and disregard for royal etiquette, but then realizes that she is actually charming and beautiful.

There is a subplot of women being forced into sexual servitude that should receive a lot more horror than it does. It all gets wrapped up quickly and just as unbelievably as the rest of the plot.

2.5/5 stars!

This is the second book in the series, but any relevant information is provided within the story. In this book, the hero finds himself in charge of an investigation to the whereabouts of young women who may have ended up in dire straits. Whereas the heroine has set her sights on the hero, determined that he acknowledged her, and mayhap fall in love with her along the way.

The overall plot was engaging but I felt like the book needed something to truly grab my pique. I did find the heroine an enjoyable character, but the hero was not truly interesting in the beginning of the book. I also didn't see how the attraction candidly began; it was just there. Basically, I wanted a straightforward transition to the main couple's relationship, especially since I couldn't understand the appeal the heroine has for the hero if he was not able to remember their first meeting, among other things. Also, I read this book before the first one, so I would recommend that this series be read in order to have a whole view of the characters mentioned in the story. If I had read the first book, I would have gotten a better picture of the couple and see why the hero caught the heroine's interest.

Though I may not have enjoyed the book as much as I expected to, I still think the series is worth reading.. I look forward to reading more of Ms. London's books.

I love a good historical romance and this was a good one! I really didn't think I was going to like the heroine at first (I hadn't read the previous of the novels in the series), but I ended up really liking her and the romance between her and the prince. I really needed a good escapist romance novel and Julia London always accomplishes that. It is a quick and easy read!

This is Leo and Caroline’s story. Leo is the spare prince. Caro is the toast of London. There much intrigue. Caro and Leo realize they are passionately in love. I Love the story. It continued where Eliza and Sebastian’s story ended.

I found this story to be an entertaining read and I enjoyed the humor peppered throughout. This is Caroline and Leopold's story and what a mess they get themselves in! lol

Caroline is quite the character, quite vain in fact, but it's more for show, she's just waiting to find someone who will see her for "her" and not her beauty and dowry. She can be quite direct and honest, much to the chagrin of the ton and royalty! lol Leopold is a prince and as the "spare heir", he spends his time drinking and carousing. He takes nothing seriously until he suddenly finds himself trying to save young women from slavery and really trashing his reputation all to bits.

Having no use for Caroline when he meets her the first few times, thinking her much too forward and direct, he soon changes his mind and sees her as a most unique character that brings light into his life. Wish passions flaring and abounding danger, they will soon run out of time before he has to return to his own country.

I received an ARC of this book via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
