The authors biography is told with heart and soul and will tug of the heartstrings of many readers. And while I enjoyed parts of it, I felt it was missing the glue that pulls it all together. It didn't feel balanced, and was centred on all the difficulties and not enough of the joy from the key events and relationships (such as her marriage that was mostly in the background). I didn't come away from it feeling that I had gained some good advice and knowledge. I did come away with appreciation for the bravery of the author telling her difficult story. I think there will be lots of people out there who will relate to the authors life and will feel a lot of comfort in the words. While it didn't speak so much to me I think it will to lots of other people.
