"Crushing It" by Lorelei Parker is a contemporary romance that blends the worlds of wine-making and romance, offering a sweet and enjoyable narrative. The novel follows the protagonist, Cami, as she navigates the challenges of taking over her family's winery while facing unexpected feelings for a rival vintner. Parker's writing style is accessible, and the vineyard setting adds a charming backdrop to the story. While the romance unfolds with a predictable yet comforting rhythm, some aspects of the plot lack depth, leaving room for a more nuanced exploration of the characters' emotions and growth. Overall, "Crushing It" is a pleasant read, perfect for those seeking a light-hearted romance with a flavorful twist.

4.5 stars. Thank you to NetGalley and Kensington Books for providing me with an e-arc of this in exchange for an honest review. I ended up listening to the published audiobook.

Thoroughly enjoyable, funny, a little spicy. It almost lost me about 70% in tbh, but the story recovered before the end. Overall, I'd recommend this.

Thank you so much to NetGalley and Kensington Books for my copy of Crushing It by Lorelei Parker in exchange for an honest review. It published June 30, 2020.
I loved how unique and fun this book was, this author tells a story in a fresh way. However, I struggled with the coarse language and the explicit sex scenes.

The premise of Crushing It starts well with a game developer rom-com heroine that puts her foot in her mouth in a relatable way. The question of being between two guys in a triangle of unrequited crushes was entertaining.

I enjoyed this book so much. The drama, the funny nerdy bits, Sierra and Alife, and Aida too. I loved how we saw Sierra for the bad and the good. She was no princess, but she fought to get what she wanted and learn from the experience. Plus Alife, adorable, nice, kind, gorgeous Alife <3 Tristan, jesus..what a idiot. Urgh. But i will admit i did root for him a little while.

This was such a cute book and I’m kicking myself a little bit for not reading it sooner as it has sat on my shelf for way too long! I can definitely relate to Sierra’s fear of public speaking as I struggle with that myself! Thankfully, though, my fear is not the result of a significantly embarrassing situation! For the most part, the characters in this book were very likable and it had its predictable moments. I enjoyed watching Sierra grow in confidence and discover who she really is and what she really wanted. This book also had a good blend of heartfelt moments and laugh out loud moments. All in all, it was a very fun, quick read and I would recommend it!

It's mine. I wish there was a way to request your own book without also reviewing it. Reviewing to get it off my shelf.

I’m a diehard romance reader, but Crushing It by Lorelei Parker wasn’t for me. I did not finish reading it.

I received this copy from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This was a gaming RomCom but unfortunately it missed its mark with me. The characters were not relatable and it was way too predictable for my liking. The main character, Sierra, was incredibly immature for a 28yr old and with that as a premise, the book's story and follow-through was weak for me. The nerdiness of the book was "well-played" however the story itself felt messy.

Welcome to the gaming world. Although I am not a gamer, the story was fun. Sierra was way to quick to want to jump in the bed with whichever guy she was crushing on at the moment and some of the language was unnecessary, but I did enjoy it and the characters were very likable.

I am sorry for not reviewing fully but I don’t have the time to read this at the moment. I believe that it wouldn't benefit you as a publisher or your book if I only skimmed it and wrote a rushed review. Again, I am sorry for not fully reviewing!

I absolutely adored this book! Sierra was super relatable, and adding in Tristan and Alfie made the read fun and enjoyable!

I really liked this story when it started. I liked the concept, and had been looking forward to reading it. But I just didn't really like the main characters and that made me struggle to get in to it. It wasn't anything specific, it just wasn't working for me. I tried picking it back up several times, hoping that it was just my mood. But unfortunately that never changed for me. I did not make it half way through the book, so I will not post a review on any retail sites since I did not finish it.

I really enjoyed the story of this book! The dialogue, the tension, the fun gamers aspect, everything melded into a great contemporary romance. If you enjoy fun reads, you will definitely enjoy this story! I was not sure what to expect because I have not read any other books but I was pleasantly surprised!

A romcom plus gamer kind of tech savvy book is a must read for me. Crushing it is one of my anticipated read and didn't disappoint me at all. I love all the correlations in the book, how the characters are portrayed, and how it is well planned up to the ending, It is a fun, light read for me and would recommend this to my fellow bookworms.

*cue the secondhand embarrassment* Who else here gets second hand embarrassment? I majorly do, its not nice at all.
Either way, I really enjoyed this book. Did not like Tristan at all 'Sierra was really annoying in the beginning. I just wanted to shake her to see what was right in front of her and stop lusting after Tristan *rolls eyes*
I liked that she was putting herself out there for great character development.
Albeit it was a fun, lighthearted read with a bit of romance.

First of all, I have to say this cover does the book a huge disservice. It's so generic and it doesn't fit the content matter or the main character's personality at all.

Because of that, I put off reading this book for a while, but I was pleasantly surprised when I actually started reading it. It was such a nerdy book, and I related to it a lot more than I would have expected. I especially really liked the love interest.

That said, I did feel like the main conflict was very childish and got too much attention. I liked the concept of the competition but I didn't like the way it turned into a childish battle with a sexist asshole, who got entirely too much attention in the book.

I'm also very worried for the main character's memory, because she supposedly doesn't have amnesia. She somehow can't remember a guy from college she apparently had several conversations with and was acquaintances with? Like, to the point she doesn't recognize him when she meets him again and doesn't recover her memories later on either, when she finds out more about him? She also completely forgot about kissing her crush at the time, and you could say it's because she was drunk but... she did write about it in her diary? So she only forgot about it after that. It was all very strange to me.
