The year is 50BC, and all Gaul is occupied. Only one small village of indomitable Gauls still holds out against the invaders. But how much longer can Asterix, Obelix and their friends resist the mighty Roman legions of Julius Caesar? Anything is possible, with a little cunning plus the druid Getafix's magic potions! Their effects can be truly hair-raising...

I originally read this years ago and am glad to say it still holds up. Well drawn and so silly. This new edition will introduce new people to Asterix's world.

I start by thanking NetGalley for the eARC for my honest review. Strong memories of reading these as a kid. Great memories. Now coming out in this Omnibus edition. Asterix is a wonderful, fun, humorous telling of a small tribe of Gauls that hold out against the entire Roman army. The brilliant names given to characters along with the laughable story makes it a forever favourite.
