Selena has a chance encounter with a woman on the train after a really bad day. She just watched her husband cheat on her again with her nanny in the nanny cam. She thinks nothing of the woman until she gets texts from her later. In the meantime Selena has confronted her husband and finds out the nanny is missing a few days later. This is only part of the story.

This was my first book by Lisa Unger and it won’t be my last! The story was so interesting and I spent the entire book trying to figure out how the characters related to each other. The story is told from different characters viewpoints, which just adds to the mystery. If you love suspense stories and trying to figure out the mystery, this book is for you.

This book had so many twists and turns. Part of it was predictable but the storylines intertwined in the craziest ways. It was easy to read the book really flew by!

This book started off so well. I was intrigued by the beginning and it had me hooked. However, I predicted all of the twists and turns and I did enjoy how they played out but I just wanted more from it.

Wow! This book has so many revelations, surprises, secrets, deception, betrayal and lies, lies, lies. I loved this book! Definitely a must read for the year!

I loved the various characters in this novel and reading about their lives, both past and present. I enjoyed reading about what they have been through in life and how that has made them into the people they are today, and how the characters are all connected. Lots of shocks and surprises that I did not see coming and I love that in a book as it keeps me guessing only to shock me when I least expect it. It adds to the excitement of the book and this book does exactly that!

There are several characters in this book, but it is easy to follow along and keep track of them all. Some characters are despicable and easy to hate, others are sweet and easy to adore.

A great novel that I definitely recommend.

Sit back, relax, and choose your favorite socially distant seat. Once the 7:45 departs the station, you will be on board for one cray cray ride. Selena has it all, a loving husband, Graham, two great children, a gorgeous house, a fabulous career, and even a nanny who treats the kids very well. That is what you would see looking into the train window as it pulls away, however, the glass must be pretty dirty for it provides a distorted view.
Selena knows her husband is having an affair with their perfect nanny, Geneva. However, knowing and believing are two very different animals. When she confides her suspicions to Martha, a stranger on the train, it seems like harmless venting. But when the nanny goes missing, she wonders if her chance encounter was accidental. So many POVs, and at first, I didn't get how they connected. Remember, I suggested you choose your seat wisely because once Confessions on the 7:45 picks up steam, it doesn't want to let go.
As the investigation into Geneva's disappearance unfolds, we learn a lot more about Selena and Martha and the connection they share. This one reads like a puzzle within a puzzle, inside a puzzle. While I had some difficulty with some of the characters' questionable choices, I still kept flipping the pages to see who was a victim and who was a villain. Get ready for a thrilling but bumpy ride.

I was dying to get an ARC of this book! Was finally given one. And it did not disappoint. Took me no time to devour this book. Twisty and compelling. Grabbed me from the first page all the way to the end. Fantastic character buildups. Didn't know who to love or hate.
Put this one on your list to read!

Thanks to the publisher, net galley and the author for an early release of this book.

The start of this book was a bit all over the place as there were a multitude of points of view, some of which seemed unconnected to the story. But, slowly it all came together and transformed into a clever story with intriguing characters traveling at breakneck speed to a riveting conclusion.

My copy of this book was provided by the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. My thanks to the the author, the publisher, and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review it.

This book was filled with twists and turns every which way. Selena seems like she has it all. Then she meets Martha. But is Martha really just a stranger on a train?

This book kept me hanging on until the last word. Very gripping and I didn’t want to put it down. Highly recommend it!!

Confessions on the 745 is a slow burning psychological thriller revolving around a chance conversation with a stranger on a commute home from work around the same time Selena watches her husband having an affair with the nanny, Geneva. After Geneva goes missing and the stranger from the train starts texting Selena, thread by thread the tangled web starts to unravel and we begin to find out that no one is as they seem.

When this book started I almost put it down. I was a little put off on the content at the start and thought it was headed in a direction that I was not looking for. I couldn't have been more wrong! Once the story got going I couldn't put it down.

Another great psychological thriller from Lisa Unger. Well-written, a page turner, keeps you guessing who done it story. Strong main character, lousy husband, and not so nice people. Can’t wait for the next thriller from this author. Definitely a book to recommend.

Enthralling, engrossing, and tangy, this is the kind of book that makes meeting responsibilities seem trivial.

So great was my compulsion to continue reading that I lost the better part of a day in a blur of pages.

Selena meets a stranger on her commute home and feels strangely compelled to overshare that she suspects her husband is cheating on her with their nanny, Geneva. Martha, likewise, overshares that she is sleeping with her married boss. When Geneva mysteriously disappears a few days later a delish little cat and mouse game commences.

Told from three POVs, this one had me racing to figure out what the heck was happening. Everyone is a mess and everyone has juicy secrets and no one's life is as good as it looks from the outside.

Thank you to Lisa Unger, Park Row and NetGalley for giving me this ARC in exchange for an honest review!

First I want to say thank you for the advance copy of this fantastic book. I really enjoyed the characters and the plot of the story. Selena was a strong hard working mother, wife and basically the glue to her family. I didn't like the husband much, but overall a well written book.

Selena is on the train home from work when she sits next to a random women and the two end up sharing their secrets. Selena thinks her husband is cheating with the nanny, and this woman is sleeping with her married boss. A few days later however, Selena’s nanny disappears. Suddenly, nothing in Selena’s life is at it seems, and the woman from the train keeps reaching out, but had Selena even given out her phone number?

Another great thriller from Lisa Unger! This one had me scratching my head, and trying to figure out what timeline was what, and who was who, and where was who was why was what! The story grabbed my attention from page one where we read about Selena watching her husband sleeping with the nanny on camera. From there it was a mess of confusion and craziness! Just how I like my thrillers! I really enjoyed this one! If it’s not on your radar it should be! This one is out October 6! Perfect for the month of thrillers!

I would recommend "Confessions on the 7:45" to patrons who enjoy "grip-lit" thrillers. It starts off with what seems to be a chance meeting of two strangers, but we soon find out that all of the characters' lives are linked in a web of deceptions. The book is full of strong female characters and fairly unlikable male ones. Personally, I am a little tired of this particular sub-genre, but for those who are still into it, this is a fairly solid read. On par with "The Woman in the Window" and "The Wife Between Us," but not as original as "Gone Girl" or "The Girl on the Train."
2.5 stars

I received a free advanced copy of this book from NetGalley in return for an honest opinion.

It's easy to dump your problems on a stranger whom you will never see again. However, is it a coincidence or a planned meeting of a stranger on a stalled train on your way home from work on a bad day?

This book covers all the bases of a thriller for me - infidelity, mystery, murder, and suspense. A must read.

Thank you NetGalley for this ARC.

I have been a fan of Lisa Unger for a long time, and Confessions on the 7:45 just solidified that for me. This book was crazy and creepy. It even had a what the @#$% moment. But most of all, it kept me intrigued from the very first sentence all the way until the end. Lisa Unger knows what she is doing when she writes a thriller--and I cannot WAIT to read her next book!!

Confessions on the 7:45 by Lisa Unger Strangers meeting and confiding on a train. Thought I knew which way this story was going to go but then the author pulled out so many twists and turns I didn't know what was going to happen or why until the very last chapters. Characters you love or hate or hate to love or love to hate. Still a bit confused about Gracie, she is either a chameleon or totally clueless. Pearl is a true gem. Exciting and engrossing read. Highly recommended.

Thank you to the publisher, author, and NetGalley for the opportunity to preview the book.
