Although some aspects of this tale stretch its credibility almost beyond belief, it is an intriguing and gripping storyline, replete with unexpected and mind-bending twists and turns. I look forward to Amy Stuart's next book, and plan to go back and read the one I missed, Still Mine.

This book was my introduction to Clare. I must now go back and read the first two books in this series, although it is a stand alone. Thriller. Who is hunting who?
I enjoyed the writing and the flawed characters. I would like to delve into Clare’s past. This was a first rate mystery

I enjoyed reading this book. It had a good story to it. I liked the variety of characters in it. It was a well written book. I hope to read more books by this author.

My thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a free ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Well! The great writing style hooked me right in. I am not fond of "series books" but I want to find out what happens next. I suspect the next book will deal with trying to find the missing women. Still quite a few loose ends left to tie up, not the least of which is Clare's relationship with Malcolm, which was left very open-ended.
Highly recommended.

I really struggled with this book in terms of the characters and the plot . Pretty sure Clare is a recovering alcoholic and for her to even have one drink is one too many. The plot just seemed to be rambling with missing people who then show up. Clare is praised as a great PI with just two former cases. To me experience and years on the job would be qualifications for a seasoned PI. The book just seemed to be lacking depth and a real story. Lots of loose ends and a story line that just did not jive for me.

Still Here by Amy Stuart is a mystery/thriller about a young woman named Clare who is investigating the recent disappearance of Malcolm, a fellow private investigator. Malcolm was married to a daughter one of the wealthiest families in a small coastal town and it turns out that his wife herself had disappeared about 18 months before the events of this novel.

The book is billed as a stand alone, but I would consider the third in a series. Despite this, I had no trouble following the plot and there is enough information that you can guess the events in the preceding novels, but I would have enjoyed it more if I had read the first two books.

The characters are well drawn with distinct voices and points of view. The author does a great job building relationships and bringing a large number of characters to life. Clare is an unreliable narrator, which was fun and intriguing. The mystery was solved at a good pace, with information coming out at just the right time.

Overall, a solid, enjoyable thriller. Will read this author’s backlist and look for her next work.

Still Here is the third book in the series. Amy Stuart has written another great story. I have really enjoyed following Clare's journey throughout these books ... I hope there's more to come?

I know others have mentioned that this can be read as a stand alone but I really encourage reading the first two books before this one. It helps to know the back story ... plus you'll already have a feel for who Clare is.

Thank you so much for Simon and Schuster as well as Netgalley for my review copy!

Thank you to NetGalley, Amy Stuart and Simon & Schuster Canada for the free e-book in exchange for an honest review.

I have adored this series since I started and finished it last year at the beach. The characters are so hard not to root for, especially Clare! I really enjoyed Clare trying to find Malcolm and how twisty the story gets. I really enjoyed Clare having a bit of a sidekick in this novel to help her out. Secret messages and all sorts of guilty parties in this one makes it hard for Clare to figure out what exactly is going on. I went into this one knowing that it would be the last one, but it doesn’t make me any less sad to see this series come to a tidy end!

Out July 7th!

This book left me a little iffy on whether I really liked it or not. It is a quick read and the storyline sounds good on paper but it just doesn’t come through as an interesting read. I can’t put my finger on exactly what the problem is. The characters seem flat and I felt no connection to them. Even in the end I couldn’t find anY excitement for the outcome. I appreciate the opportunity to read this book but it just didn’t appeal to me.

I thought this book was okay.
The set up was perfect - very ominous and suspenseful. It's a story of corruption, manipulation, and the craziness of one family. Clues and revelations happened slowly, but the ending was very quick and wrapped up easily. There were some things I wasn't expecting to happen.

Thank you to Netgalley and Simon & Schuster Canada for providing me with a copy of this book.

While a companion novel to the author’s previous books, ‘Still Mine’ and ‘Still Water’, as with the others, ‘Still Here’ can also be read as a stand alone. Although, to be honest, I definitely recommend you read the two previous books for a better understanding of the character’s backstories and for a purely more enjoyable experience.

This was a quick read (almost done in one sitting), fast paced and totally engrossing. But there are two main things that really keep me coming back to these books time and again; the author’s atmospheric, haunting and often melancholic writing and her talent for creating believable and relatable characters. I just love how the main character, Clare, can be both flawed, troubled and vulnerable and yet so strong and hopeful. Long after I’ve turned the last page, she stays with me.

This was a satisfying conclusion to the trilogy and I look forward to reading Amy Stuart’s next book.

I really enjoyed this one and I think that Amy Stuart has written another great book! Though this can definately be read as a stand alone, it is a third installment to Still Mine and Still Water. Having read those two, may help you understand and enjoy this one better, though it isnt necessary. I enjoyed the main character Clare. She is well written as a troubled woman with a dark past who does her best in life now to help those around her. The story started off with a bang, with Clare waking up in a bath tub with a head wound and covered in blood. If that doesn't reel you in, I don't know what will! The story then goes back to four days earlier where Clare begins her search for Malcolm, who Clare knows personally and is now missing. I liked the writing and flow of the story and it had a few good twists. This was a quick read for me with exciting chapters! Overall, I liked it!

4.5 stars - I waited two years for this book to come out and I wasn’t disappointed! Clare and Malcolm generally work together to solve missing woman cases, but in this one, the story revolves around Malcom’s disappearance and his mysterious past!

I adored both Still Mine and Still Water and I really was hoping for Clare and Malcom’s story to evolve so I’m really glad Amy put Malcom’s storyline in this book!

There were definitely some twists and turns in this novel and it kept me engaged.

I loved how the book was narrated by the third person. I read a lot of POVs novels so it was a refreshing take.

I always rooted for Clare but in this novel you really see her evolve and the ENDING - WOW! It was a perfect ending in my book! The only reason this isn’t a 5 star read for me is that it was missing something, maybe it was missing some action in the middle of the story I can’t pinpoint exactly what it was, but overall a great book and I can’t wait to read the fourth installment! Highly recommend.

Thank you NetGalley and Simon & Schuster Publishers for a copy of "Still Here" in exchange for my honest review.

The story revolves around Clare who awakens in the bathroom with blood on her head and her last memory being hit on the head. The story then shifts to 4 days earlier when Clare is sent to Lune Bay by Detective Hollis Somers. She's sent there to search for a missing person - Malcolm Boon. Clare knows Boon as she's worked 2 missing persons cases with him, now her third is to search for him. He last last seen by Clare 8 days ago. 6 days ago Detective Somers gave Clare Boon's file and asked her to search for him. Coincidentally (or not) Boon's wife Zoe Westman herself has been a missing person for over a year.

The twist in the end of the book is a good one and a surprising one.

I’ve really enjoyed the other two books so was excited to dive in to this one! It does still work as a stand-alone but to get the true effect I would suggest reading the others just to get the background information. The mystery is well thought out and thrilling and I just didn’t want to put it down! So glad I got a copy of this one to enjoy!

An ARC of this novel was sent to me by NetGalley for reviewing purposes. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is an amazing book. and I adore how it is written and the flow of the book. The characters were developed and complex, and I can't wait to support this author by purchasing the book.

This book is the third installment of the series, where Clare has to dig into the past of Malcolm. Additionally, she finds connections between the community and Malcom's past.

This book takes the characters from the first two and develops them further. We see Clare take an investigation and really grow from her past experiences. In the first and second in the series, she was definitely tough but she was holding back and in the first still tentative about doing the job because of her past. Malcom was this shadowy and intangible character, that we as readers knew a little about but not only gathering a little bit in each novel. Character development is so important especially when creating a series for readers, and this series is making the necessary growth within each.

I understand this is a series but what both did and did not work for me as the reader is where some of the missing pieces within the story did not come full circle. However, at the same time it did. I know that sounds confusing but here is the gist, it is a series and will likely be continued, however, readers in general sometimes hope for a full conclusion without loose ends.

Overall, this author knows how to create a vivid and exciting storyline to engage her readers and the books get better and better each time a new one comes out. I recommend this book, and the series to anyone who wants a book they cannot put down.

Thank you to Netgalley and Simon & Schuster for the ARC.

Still Here by Amy Stuart is a riveting tale that will pull you in from the very start. Fast-paced and atmospheric, this is a quick read that had me flying through the pages to peel back the layers with PI Clare O'Dey.

Private investigator Clare O'Dey is searching for her missing colleague, Malcolm, when it becomes apparent that his wife, Zoe, is also missing. Has the couple met with foul play, or is Malcolm responsible in some way for his wife's disappearance? Arriving in the town where Malcolm last lived, Clare must peel back the many layers of the life of a colleague who might have more secrets than Clare could have ever known.

This is a compelling and well-paced read that will have you fully engaged in a case of complexities alongside one very determined PI. Recommended.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Simon & Schuster Canada for this ARC.
