Neon Nights: A Sequel by Katey Taylor

Oh my gosh how could it end like that!!! I am so in love with these characters just to get my heart broke!!! This series has kept me on my toes the whole time and I have to say I loved the wild roller coaster ride it gave me. This book held me captive the entire time!!!! I can’t wait to read more from this author

I don't know what I was expecting. This was trashy and messy. I was enjoying it more than the first book, then the ending happened and it completely lost me. The main character has no motivation or drive other than drinking and sex. We know nothing about her. Other characters that just drop off and we never hear from them again.

ARC was provided by the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

This is a realistic portrayal of how addiction can destroy those we love. Whether it be alcohol, drugs or sex, all three characters (Cait, Adrien, and Pete) had that type of personality that Kent itself to their downfall. It was all or nothing. Truly hard to read as in their addiction, they were isolated and alone.

This is the sequel to Inebriated, where Cait has moved away from her old town with her mom and is trying to start over after the death of her best friend and breaking up with her drug addict rock start boyfriend. Unfortunately, it isnt that easy for her to change her old ways and kick her old habits. Cait still is drinking and using drugs, meeting other guys who are no comparison to her first love sadly, for her. She again ends up in a downward spiral, and lonely on her birthday, she drinks so much that she blacks outs and can't remember what happened....apparently she called her ex and he shows up at her door. He has been in rehab so he is not using and he is trying very hard to stay on the straight and narrow. Cait sees this and is happy for him, and they get back together and she goes on tour with him. Sadly her rock start boyfriend has a hard time staying straight and things start to go south for both of them. Sadly, Cait learns some pretty harsh lessons but somehow manages to become a stronger person and survive all the terrible events that have happened in the last couple of years.
