I loved this book. Having read so many WW2 books, I am always so excited when I find one about something I haven't read before. This story had just the right amount of the things I like...history, just a bit of romance, adventure, a strong female character and mystery. I also appreciated how the author portrayed Eva's mom....it would have been so easy to make her supportive and encouraging as Eva embarked on her new forgery journey. I found her character made me have the strongest emotional response...I was so frustrated with her lack of support until I made myself stop reading and sit back and imagine the world from her experiences. How heartbreaking to have so much taken from you. Everyone deals with loss in their own way and I thank Kirsten Harmel for helping protray this.
In all, highly reccomend this book to any historical fictions fan. Thanks Netgalley!
