This is the second book I have read from this book. This book really did a good job maintaining my interest from the gate. The more I read, the more I realized how thoroughly predictable it was and how irritating the main character became. Instead of taking charge of her life, she just becomes a complete dish rag that never questions anything until it nearly kills her. The end was just a bit of a jumbled mess. I liked this for what it was, but I will not remember this book. Thanks for the ARC, NetGalley.

A good read, very gripping and full of tension. I read it in one evening and will definitely look out for more from the author.

Scrolling through my Kindle, I didn't know what to read and this one jumped out at me as I figured it would be a thriller which is what I've been enjoying lately. In A Perfect Mother by Jo Crow, Laurie's life is about to come full circle as at the beginning of this book we learn that Laurie's husband Ben has vanished without a trace and her daughter Fay who is only 4 years old has been left home alone. Laurie is worried and calls the police and her mother-in-law but of course, since it hasn't been that long - they are reluctant to do anything and even after 48 hours - they are still convinced Ben was having an affair or had enough of their marriage and walked out on Laurie and Fay. As the book goes along, Laurie's OCD starts coming back as when she was in college, she experienced trauma which developed PTSD and OCD tendencies. During this hard time, Laurie runs into Teddy Jones and eventually his sister Marissa. Teddy and Marissa went to college with Laurie, Marissa was her sorority sister, and Teddy was her friend. The pair of them also helped her that fateful night at college. Marissa offers Laurie, an out and a way to get back on her feet but Laurie doesn't realize that in doing so - she may not only have lost her husband but could lose her daughter Fay forever as well. I quite enjoyed this thriller as it was a full-circle story as the ending is related to Laurie's college experience. I have one other of her book A Mother's Secret on my Kindle which I am now looking forward to giving her a read.

The storyline seemed to skip a little out of order about 3/4 of the way in but apart from that it was an enjoyable read. Thanks for the opportunity to read

A Perfect Mother is a gripping, psychological thriller about a self-absorbed, social media influencer, Marissa, and the friend from college (Laurie) she hires as a photographer. Right from the get-go, this chilling story pulled me in and kept my interest right up until the very end. It involved many issues including OCD, rape and stalking.

Right from the get-go, this chilling story pulled me in and kept my interest right up until the very end. It involved many issues including OCD, rape and stalking.

Laurie's husband, Ben goes missing. Was he kidnapped? Or did he simply walk away? As the story unfolds, it is told through Laurie's point-of-view, allowing the reader to gain a greater insight into her characters life, including her daughter Fay. But it also showcases how awful OCD is for both the sufferer and their families.

While I had pegged Laurie’s stalker/rapist early on, the author did throw in enough red herrings to keep my questioning whether or not I had gotten it right. I actually enjoyed second-guessing myself, as I wondered how it would eventually all play out. The ending itself was a bit over-the-top, but somehow fitting for this crazy little ride.

Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review

Slightly predictable thriller but still enjoyable..Only other thing that was annoying was the constant use of the word, 'tutted'.. Overall a decent read and it's easy and you don't have to think too much.

Laurie has a good life, a husband she loves and a daughter they adore. Until one day when she comes home to find him gone. Now she has to figure out how to support their daughter when an old college friend asks her to be her Instagram photographer. What really happened to Laurie’s husband? Who can she trust? Through various twists and turns you see both the intriguing and horrible parts of social media and how it affects each aspect of her life and image.

Thank you NetGalley, Jo Crow and Relay Publishing for this edition and hearing my honest review. Looking forward to reading more with you

This was a thrilling read with so many twists and turns, my head is still spinning! You don't know who to trust, and just as you think you have the plot figured out, your head spins again. Recommended.

I was literally hooked from the first page on reading this book. It had my heart racing. It was great. A psychological thriller but had a test where it was good fun to read too. Great plot. But different from other thrillers

What a fantastic ride of psychological suspense. Motherhood is difficult enough without throwing OCD into the mix. Full review to come

A standard thriller that didn't do much to add to the genre but was still good and exactly what i was expecting when I decided to read it.

Going in, I thought I roughly knew what I was getting into, and I wasn't disappointed. Some good twists and slight changes to tropes, but the book does exactly what it says on the tin. It wasn't an overly challenging or, to be honest, disturbing, read, but it was enjoyable nonetheless.

A great psychological thriller with different twists and turns. I did find it a little disturbing and made me wonder just who I could trust and who I couldn't. A refreshing change from the usual crime books.

A read that I found frustrating at times. The main character, although she had been through trauma in the past, I found extremely irritating. I just wanted to shake her! The plot was OK but predictable.

Laurie is stunned when her husband disappears. Worse, he's left her with all the bills and no way to pay them. She becomes an "influencer" and gets a whole lot more than she bargained for. Such a fun & twisty book! I did not see most of these twists coming at all!

When Laurie's husband disappears leaving their five year old daughter alone in the house and with huge amount of debt she doesn't know what to do.
After bumping into her old college friend she offers Laurie a job and a place to live but it means moving back to her old town which she said she would never do due to what happened there.
Can Laurie overcome her fears for her daughter's sake?
And rebuild their lives?

This was an easy to read thriller that kept my attention all the way through! Lots of twists and surprises I didn't see coming. Very good, would recommend.....definitely some surprises throughout that I was expecting 🙂

Really enjoyed this domestic thriller. It’s cleverly written as the tension mounts through each chapter whilst the mother and daughter’s relationship disintegrates. I had to keep reading to see what happens next.
