This holiday novella is a light, quick read with a sweet romance at its core. Evie Stryker, a dancer recovering from an injury, and Dante Jefferson, a jaded lawyer, share a predictable but charming connection. Their chemistry is enjoyable, and the small-town Christmas setting adds a cozy feel to the story.

However, the novella’s length works against it. The plot feels rushed, and the characters’ development lacks depth, making it hard to fully invest in their relationship. While the romance is pleasant enough, the story doesn’t leave a lasting impression.

Overall, *A Fool’s Gold Christmas* is an okay read for fans of holiday romances, but it doesn’t fully capture the potential of the series. I’ll likely try a full-length novel from the Fool’s Gold series next to see if it offers a more satisfying experience.

Susan Mallery delivers a sweet small town romance that is packed with her trademark wit and humor. Emotion backs this story up, making it more than just a sweet interlude between two people. As Dante and Evie help each other through their emotional issues, A FOOL'S GOLD CHRISTMAS becomes a story celebrating support and love.

Dante and Evie are my favorites. Their story is so adorable. I wasn't sure if I was going to enjoy this story. From the synopsis, my mind had already put up this wall. But getting to know Evie and Dante, I was able to easily connect to them.

I apologize for the delay of the feedback for this title. I've had health issues, but am attempting to catch up.

I keep reading this series even though I find myself dissatisfied with them. I will skim through the dull parts and grumble at the characters. Yet I still read them. There is a redeeming quality = I like the setting and overall I like the characters. I just wish they weren't so human - I read to escape!
