Who knew that when you’ve hit rock bottom....left at the alter, kicked out, and had lies told about you... your past could come back to help. Not only your past but your past with reinforcements. Hot, hot MMF story that this author is known for.

Stroke of Luck by Opal Carew. I haven't read this author's book in the past I believe. A very spicy romance that was fast paced and I couldn't put down. I look forward to checking out more books by author.

Very sexy story. The concept felt unique to me. I liked that the lead character was left by her fiancee only to run into the boyfriend she loved, but thought wouldn't be as attentive to her as she would have liked. All of the lead characters were engaging, and the story sucked me right in. Read it in one afternoon!

I had to stop reading this because of the backstory leading up to the threesome. It was quite unbelievable and ridiculous.

I want to thank NetGalley for allowing me to have access to this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This story is about April being abandoned the day of her wedding after having caught her fiancé cheating on her. He leaves her with nothing but the responsibility of footing the hefty bill of their wedding and their hotel room. It is then she comes across her first love for the first time in years and he helps her pay for everything. Not wanting to be in his debt she proposes being in a sexual relationship with him to repay him which he accepts with the added agreement that his business partner partake in the relationship as well. Through this relationship he comes to realize that feelings once deemed long forgotten still simmer familiarly in his heart, assumptions once made are proven wrong, and he comes to realize he never truly knew this woman he had once considered the love of his life.

There was a lot to be desired all in all: the formatting was in complete disarray and there wasn't a clear distinction of whose point of view was being narrated at every point of the story. Character didn't feel completely fleshed out and like we were getting choppy explanations of each one that didn't really allow for you to get a clear understanding for their actions and reasonings. Relationship development was severely lacking in that you couldn't get a clear read as to why Quinn decided on including Austin in his sexual relationship with April, or how April came to love either Quinn or Austin. Hints of this development were given but never fully showcased enough for the ending to be impactful.

Now, as this is an erotica, I would have expected there to be a lot of spicy scenes that would evolve throughout the story the more the become used to their threesome and the more comfortable each person got to having an extra participants in their sexual moments, but I ultimately felt like the sex was completely lacking and could have been a little more varied.

I feel like what I got in this novella was the bare bones of an amazing story. There was amazing peeks into great moments of character development, and healthy conversations about boundaries and set expectations in a relationship and changing that as one's feeling develop, and how relationships can be misconstrued but ultimately set right with the use of open communication. I feel like the narrating voice was completely at fault in this in that it was very choppy and out-of-sync with the tone of this story- like it wanted to be open about their lesson's but fell short in words to really make the story flow how it could.

All in all I feel like this was underdeveloped but that it has great potential to be something great and extremely sexy.

April dumps her cheating fiancé the day before their wedding, and gets stuck with an enormous Vegas hotel bill she can’t possibly pay. She runs into her college ex, Quinn, who’s never really gotten over her. He takes pity on her and brings her up to the penthouse suite he shares with his friend and business partner, Austin. Both men are intrigued by April, but don’t want to ruin their friendship. April makes Quinn an indecent proposal to pay off her debt.

An interesting premise is drowned by sloppy writing. Perspective shifts occur in the middle of pages without a break. Often the author refers to “he” when it’s not clear which man she means. And the fact that April’s ex was seriously controlling and emotionally abusive is barely discussed. People just keep throwing money at problems, and it works. Hopefully some of this is fixed in the final printed version.

There was a lot of hot sex, so if that’s all you’re after, give this a try.

Thanks to Netgalley, the publisher, and the author for the ARC to review.

I am struggling with a review of this book. To be fair this book is listed as erotica and therefore one wouldn't go into it expecting a deep literary novel. The sex scenes were definitely plentiful, very description and full of steam and passion. What I found lacking was the development of anything else. The premise of a cheating fiance is totally relatable, but the circumstances related are in my opinion totally unrealistic. I found myself shaking my head throughout the book. I'm all for a sexy, steamy book but I like my characters to have some development and that was the most disappointing part of the book.

I received a complimentary copy of Stroke of Luck. Opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.

If you are looking for believable, this is not the book for you. This book was fun and frivolous even though there was an attempt to make it serious and believable at some points. If you just want a fun read, this might work--if you just skim over the more serious parts. It was a weird mix of both ends of the spectrum: too much fun and pretty serious (and a lot of repeated phrasing, which detracted from the fun parts greatly).

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC.

Stroke of Luck is erotica to its core. With a porn worthy plot, Opal Carew will have you along for the ride in no time. It's thick and hard with naughty times. However, the shallow thrusts are just for foreplay. There's no depth of character or any real connection for the reader to bind with the characters. This is definitely a read for a quick "solo" mission. I am usually a big fan of MFM but this one just didn't do it for me.

Readers may enjoy the just desserts though. Nothing like a revenge... or should I say get over him romp?!

Unfortunately, this story did not draw me in like others from Opal Carew. While the premise was amusing and, of course, hot, it was somewhat choppy to follow. Within the same paragraph, for example, the story would quickly move ahead, seemingly skipping a natural transition into the next story development. It was almost as if there were gaps in time between when one sentence was written and the next.

Perhaps the reviewing copy was an unedited version? Unfortunately, this issue was a little too distracting as a reader...

Thank you NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press for an advance reader copy in exchange for an honest review.

Stroke Of Luck is a steamy, melt your e-reader, contemporary romance by Opal Carew. This is a M/F/M menage story, so it may not be for everyone. Ms. Carew has provided readers with a well-written book with a stellar cast of characters. April was dumped the day before her wedding, left with the hotel bill and her credit card canceled. To add insult to injury, the hotel even had directions from her runaway groom to take her clothes and jewelry since he paid for them. When Quinn came across he ex from college being tossed from her hotel suite he had to step in. He made a deal with April that included his best friend Austin. Quinn, April and Austin's story is 5 alarm fire hot and loaded with drama and humor. I enjoyed reading Stroke Of Luck and look forward to reading more from Opal Carew in the future. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Not my cup of tea. Some may like it. Thought I'd go for something different and it was. I can't believe two guys would like sharing their wife so much and that she is so skilled in bed having only had one previous lover. ARC provided by NetGalley in exchange for a fair review.

This is my first read by this author. The prologue hits you with a bang. April waking up to two men who aren't her fiance. This book was very hot with lots of sex. Unfortunately towards the end I started skimming some of the sex scenes. It needed just a little bit more drama. Would have been great to see the ex see April happy with her two husbands and him miserable.

It was a quick read and won't be my last by this author. Thankyou Netgalley for approving me to read this arc in an exchange of an honest review.

My first MFM read. I was curious lol, how a story is with two males sharing one female. Is it all fine and dandy. Will there be conflicts? Will it be happly ever after?

Riana getting cheated on the night before her wedding and then she gets left with a bill and tbings taken away from her is crucial but bumñing into her ex Quinn and his ffiend Austin. They help her out and a hot offer comes out of it. As I was reading my POV, I dont blame Quinn to feel and think of Riana as a "Gold digger " because thats how it exactly seemed, Her decision making wasn't that smart

This story was good but i feel it needed a little more to its plot. It was a whole lot of sex in every chapter. They were like bunnys, one hoped off and the other hoped on and a repeated cycle. Hot scenes I must say. For those who love a MFM with hot sex this is the book.

The story itself was fine but i don't know if its because of the of pre-editing stage or what but scenes felt incomplete or just skip. The more romantic scenes had odd wording choices that were also distracting. there were a lot of unnecessary breaks and it all took away from the story.

Whew definitely one hot erotic romance!

This book was more than I bargained for but boy oh boy did I love it! I will definitely not be forgetting this book anytime soon! When Riana’s (it’s april in the book) luck is about to run out she comes face to face with her past and he decides to take her future in his hands!

A must read if erotic romance is your thing! Every sensual touch will set you on fire and have you wanting more! More is exactly what you get!!

The whole plot of this story seemed under developed. I know it's an erotica book but, there were more sex scenes than necessary. Felt like the characters were two dimensional and the book just fell flat for me. Austin also deserved better.

This was fine, intimate scenes were done well.

Just story wise was a bit under developed, I was curious and thought the set up had a lot of promise but in execution it didn't quit hit the mark.

I like my leading ladies with a little spunk and April was iffy at best, Quinn was annoying, and Austin was deserved more.

This was fine, got better towards the middle for sure!

***** 5 stars!!!!

I have never read a book before by Opal Carew and I can assure this WON'T be the last one either.

Stroke of Luck is one steamy, sexy, engaging book and I just could NOT put it down.

You meet April in the beginning (not Rian like the blub states) and she found her fiance Maurice cheating on her. She is devastated because he left her with an enormous hotel bill that she can't pay for and embarrassment because she thinks she is going to Jail.

Then in comes Quinn who was her ex boyfriend from high school which both of them still loved each other just never admitted it to the other. He thinks she is a gold digger and holds her to this sexual agreement with his business partner Austin where they both would share her for a month because he wants what he wants and she can go on her way.

During the course of the month they spend together they all start falling in love with each other and they all get married to each other.

There are ups and downs and let me tell you that when you get to the steamy parts they are STEAMY!!

I couldn't put this book down and devoured it in one sitting. I can't wait to read more from Opal Carew!
