I didn't realize how many meals could be cooked in aluminum foil! I can't wait to try many of the recipes in this book!

When I first saw this cookbook I thought it would be the hobo packets that we made in girl scouts. While that recipe is included, there are so many that are much more gourmet like. It gives you all the basics about using tin foil to cook meals. I can't wait to make some of them.

Nice cookbook with illustrations. Very informative and easy to use. Gives a basic summary of foil pack cooking including the multiple ways of wrapping foods and methods of cooking (Oven or Grill). I made Creamy Chicken and green cile enchiladas which was quite good. The kids liked helping me out the foil packs together.

The chicken teriyaki meatballs were very good and will become a weekly addition to our meals. Looking forward to making Hunters chicken next.

Loved the stuffed cabbage rolls, delicious and very easy to put together.; much less work than traditional recipes.

Super simple wrapped flour der was another family favorite.

Overall, we enjoyed all the recipes I made.

For anyone interested in trying a different style of cooking, this is the ideal book. I had never even though to put food in foil for cooking but I will try out more of these recipes in the future. Would recommend

Foil Pack Dinners is a 192 pages of YUM. I really enjoyed the "Yard Birds" section as well as the excellent recipe for Irish Beef Stew. I found the FYI section at the beginning of the book very helpful as I am a foil newbie. Easy to follow directions and delicious content.

I enjoyed the book. I found the recipes to be unusual and creative particularly, the vegetarian dishes. I am always looking for ways to cook with easy clean up! I am single and found the suggestions for meal prep ahead of time-an easy way to have entrees ready and available to grill or bake.
I found the book to be well organized, and the recipes were simple and easy to follow.
Thank you for the opportunity to review this book. It was a pleasure!

Really good recipes especially for people who camp, although you don’t have to camp to use this book. I was reading off a few of the recipes to my son and he now wants this book for Christmas

Nice cookbook with simple recipes and a somewhat new concept - but the recipes here feel basic and tried. Fell a bit flat for me.

Lots to choose from, in this easy to prepare recipe book. You may never use your pots and pans again, once you see how much you can cook with parchment paper and tin foil. Choices and variety are abundant, so lots to pick from.

I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. Finding unique ways to make delicious foods is all the rage these days. Foil pack dinners are another way to do so. I'm looking forward to trying the chipotle Orange chicken.

Foil dinners are fun and convenient, but sometimes it’s hard to think of new ideas. Foil Pack Dinners: 100 Delicious, Quick-Prep Recipes for the Grill and Oven by Julia Rutland is a great little cookbook with 100 ideas for quick and easy foil dinners. Not only does it contain the basic Hobo Dinner (which probably started it all), but it has recipes for full meals made from chicken, fish, shellfish, beef, and pork, and also vegetarian meals and vegetable side dishes.

Most of the recipes are easy and call for ingredients that are easy to find in any mainstream grocery store. There is a how-to section outlining the best foil to use and other directives, as well as the upside of foil dinners (convenience, no pans to wash, etc.). The featured dishes are actually mouthwatering – there is something here for almost everyone. There are also suggestions for substituting ingredients to individualize dinners. While there aren’t photographs of every dish, there are dozens of good photographs, so cooks can see what the finished products are supposed to look like.

While the basic Hobo dinner is good, there are dozens of dinners that are even better: Chutney Glazed Pork Chops, Louisiana-Style Barbecued Shrimp, Blue Cheese and Onion Burgers, Cheesy Cauliflower Rice, Orange Tarragon Chicken with Candied Carrots, and Thai Chicken Curry to name a few. Who knew that so many yummy dishes could come out of foil packets? Although it is suggested that the packets be cooked in the oven or on the grill, the air fryer worked well, too, and cooked the packets in a little less time.

All told, this is a fun book with great ideas for easy, tasty dinners.

Special thanks to NetGalley for supplying a review copy of this book.

I love this cookbook! Foil Pack Dinners is filled with some fantastic recipes.
I am always on the lookout for grilling recipes so this book was a great find. You can make so many things in foil packs and this book has a fantastic variety. Most of theses recipes are relatively fast and easy to prepare taking on average with prep about 45 minutes to an hour. Since it uses foil packs cleanup is easy breezy since you can toss the foil eliminating some of the bake-ware normally used... FOIL FOR THE WIN!!!!

Recipes can also be cooked in the oven if desired this book includes those temps.and alternate cooking times eliminating the guesswork not to mention it is filled with all kinds of handy tips and ideas.

I received this book from NetGalley and Tiller Press for an honest review.

Foil Pack Dinners is definitely going to elevate my grilling game this summer. I honestly never knew you could make so many things in foil packs outside of basic meats and veggies. This book has recipes for foil pack chicken & dumplings, Irish beef stew, cowboy beef & bean chili, and so many other delicious and easy to prepare meals and snacks. Of course, you can do foil back cooking in the oven too. I love that you can throw together individually tailored foil packs for everyone in the house and eat them right out of the foil you cooked them in. So many good ideas in this book.

I'm not a fan of cookbook ARCs, but I was intrigued and I'm glad I gave it a try. Some great ideas that I think I'll be able to use at work, as well as at home and on camping trips. I'll definitely be purchasing this once it's released, and probably gifting a few copies to some fellow campers as well.
