An encouraging, practical, and humorous book to help women get things done while also taking care of themselves and not go insane. It started out reminding me of Don’t Overthink It but veered into other areas, covering just about every area in a woman’s life. I liked her sections on self-kindness and rest. It would be beneficial to revisit the topics and tips occasionally to help stay on track with living the Lazy Genius life.

This book is so practical and life giving by giving you steps to improve your life without making it about perfectionism. It does feel heavily geared towards those with kids but there are principles that can be applied to any life! Highly recommend!

Thank you Net Galley for the opportunity to review this book in exchange for my review.

If you are interested in being more effective in all the everyday things you have to do, then The Lazy Genius Way is the book for you. Adachi does a great job of breaking down how to be a genius about the important things and lazy about the unimportant stuff. A couple of my favorite Lazy Genius principles are decide once and start small. Just applying these simple principles can help make life easier. Thanks to NetGalley for the free digital review copy. All opinions are my own.

Anyone familiar with Kendra Adachi, the lazy genius, knows that she believes that you should be a genius about things that matter and lazy about the things that don't. What matters is going to vary person to person. This is not a self-help book that is going to give you a step by step guide of how to improve your life. It is not going to tell you this is what you need to do to better your life or be successful. Instead, she offers 13 principles she uses in her own life to help her be able to focus her energy on those things that matter to her. She is very down to earth and encouraging to her readers. Her stories are quite relatable. This is a book I see myself reading again from time to time for a refresher.

I was given a copy of this book by Waterbrook and Multnomah through Netgalley. All opinions expressed are entirely my own.

I really enjoyed this title! As with many self-help, organizational books, I gleaned Some elements that will work for me and left the others behind. Primarily, I appreciate the simplicity of the approach. I will recommend this to people who enjoy similar titles!

I am a big fan of The Lazy Genius podcast and it was fun to read this book while being able to "hear" Adachi's voice in my head. My biggest takeaway from the podcast is to name what matters to you and build routines etc from that. I feel like that point was woven through the book but not called out as its own item. I think this book details a great approach to improving your life from a place of compassion and efficiency (whereas most productivity-type books really focus on the efficiency). Adachi has a very warm, approachable style and is funny. I would have liked more family examples with teens instead of just little kids. This book has been published and I recommend grabbing a copy!

If you are looking for a step by step rule driven way to make your life easier this isn’t it. But if you are looking for real life solutions that can be applied to real life situations grab it NOW!

This book resignated with me long after I finished it and I’m still thinking about it in every day tasks.

Should you have it all and be the perfect version of you or should you ignore what others think and do whatever? Kendra Adachi implores you to take a third path - the lazy genius way. By being a genius about what matters to you and lazy about what doesn't, Adachi promises to help you avoid overwhelm and discover a better way to life.

Having read so many minimalism/productivity/girl power books recently, I feel like I've read every argument under the sun about living your best life. However, Adachi surprised me with a new take on the topic, combining the best advice in a unique way, always emphasizing the importance of doing what's best for you.

This book is such a refreshing, graceful change to the genre of time/task management. It helps you see and focus on what to prioritize, as do many other books. But, it also helps you see and focus on what DOESNT need to be done. I love the 13 tools she presents, but this book is worth the money just to grasp the concept of the "magic question". If you have young people (or old people) in your life who are trying to master "adulting", this is the gift for them. I think it will be on my gift list radar for some time to come.

The principles of the Lazy Genius Way are practical and relevant. However, I found the delivery of this book to be repetitive and extensive. There were a lot of points that could have been limited to less discussion and less examples.

The focus of this book is very much for mother's and how to do more while doing less.

I understand the basics behind many of these ideas, but it also really takes out a lot of thought and creativity from life by following the Lazy Genius Way.

Absolutely loved this book -- so refreshing to have a "self-help" book recognize that not everyone can run a household with military precision. The idea of doing the least to make the most impact is just excellent. Will be recommending this!

The Lazy Genius Way by Kendra Adachi is call to focus on what matters and care less about what does not. It is an amazing, refreshing look at how crazy women make themselves in a Pinterest perfect world and how none of it matters much in the end. I love the ideas behind this book and I think it is perfect for anyone who feels overwhelmed and needs to prioritize their lives. I received a digital copy of this book from the publisher with no obligations. These opinions are entirely my own.

Sometimes "self-help" books like this repeat the same oft-heard advice. Not The Lazy Genius Way. I can honestly say I picked up some new tips while reading it. More importantly, I walked away with a sense of peace and purpose, which I can't say has ever happened with this type of book. Now to remember all this when life gets in the way.

I really enjoyed this book! Kendra gives 13 principles to “lazy genius” your life. As a mom of two girls that I homeschool, being the stay at home mom, wife, homeschool mom, etc. this book really helped me to see that I there are things I can truly let go of and not feel guilty. Thank you so much for this book!

Nothing in this book is brand new information, but that doesn't mean that it isn't worth a read. Kendra has such a gift for providing the ultimate pep talk. I put down this book feeling a renewed sense of confidence in myself, that I really can adult, that I can make great decisions for a great life. This is will be a book that I return to time and time again.

I have been following Kendra Adachi for about a year now. I was skeptical at first because she is a middle aged married woman with kids and I am a young single woman with no kids. I don't need to listen to a podcast about how to make it through motherhood because that is not my season. But that is what is so magical about The Lazy Genius Way. It isn't a set list of things to do or not to do. It is a list of principles for how to build a meaningful life. And a list of principles can be applied during any season of life. One way I have "Lazy Genius-ed" my life is by using the principle Decide Once for my meal planning. I used to hate meal planning because I felt like it trapped me into eating things I didn't want to eat. But now, using the principle of "Decide Once," I actually feel freed by a meal plan. I no longer buy groceries aimlessly or have to eat out at lunch because I don't have anything prepared. I highly recommend this book and her podcast to anyone who wants to be a genius about the things that matter and lazy about the things that don't.

I love this book! The author is a genius - she gave so many good tips I can see myself using. Her concept is so simple but can be utilized in different ways, depending on what's important to the reader. Although I've read the entire book - and underlined things I want to remember - I can see myself referring to it over and over so I can refine my own "lazy genius way." Thank-you to the author and publisher for an ARC of this book - I so appreciate it.

I loved this book and took so many notes to refer back to. I actually liked it so much I purchased a copy for myself. Kendra’s tips are so applicable and easy to do for anyone, no matter how busy they are. It was like chatting with a friend over coffee who was kind and non judge mental. Overall this is a great book for anyone looking to simplify their lives and implement some life giving routines.
