There is just such haunting, aching, realism in this book of short stories. I immediately became immersed and was just hopelessly drawn to the stories, the pain, and the connection. I left wanting more from this author. The final story was just one of the most beautiful stories that I have had the chance to read in quite some time. I do not want to spoil this for anyone, but there is definitely something for everyone. Thanks for the ARC, Net Galley,

This is solid set of short stories by an experienced author. It cover a varied set of characters, emotions, situations, and settings. This is a pretty quick read, and mostly satisfying if you like short literary stories. Recommended.

Thanks very much for the review copy!!

Peripheral Visions and other stories is a collection of twenty short stories. Stories are about people in hopeless situations, trying to get the best out of it. They are moving, some heartbreaking, and some a bit unusual. Light read. The writing is well done, and stories are interesting enough to keep the reader engaged.

This book is an excellent choice for short story fans. I enjoyed some stories more than others, but all are very good. Some of my favorites: 'Til death do us part, Pandora's box, The flower bed, Peripheral visions.

Thanks for the opportunity to read it.

Interesting. I enjoyed these short, short vignettes, with simple, down to earth characters who are easy to relate to. I was somewhat underwhelmed by this book. I was hoping to find some 'peripheral' writing that was not one dimensional, as I found these characters to be. I like to read short story collections, which is what drew me to the book. It was a fast read and there were some 'feel good' moments but, overall, I would give it," One Star."
