I loved this book so much! I loved reading about Alice and her adjustment to life in a small mining town in Kentucky. Her love, her friendships and her hardships as well. The love of books is a major part of the story. This author did a good job telling about the early travels of horsepack librarians.

Jojo Moyes has garnered a following with her emotion packed novels. In Giver of Stars, she examines women who start a mobile library service in the 1930's, and her ability to flesh out characters is again forefront. Good read!

Wow! I am still processing the epicness that was The Giver of Stars. Incredible story, showing the lengths some will go in the name of friendship. I was also amazed by the unacceptable imbalance between men and women during that time period. Historically accurate, but that isn’t to say it still bothered me. Please sign me up to read any and all Jojo Moyes books right now!!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
