This bilingual Spanish and English book has super, super cute illustrations in it. You journey through the alphabet in both languages. On the left side, you have the capital letter and an English word beginning with that letter. Its Spanish translation is underneath. Then on the right side, you have the lowercase letter and a Spanish word beginning with that letter. Its English translation is underneath. The pictures on both sides fit together into one large picture.

I keep going back and forth on this. I feel like the children are not going to connect the uppercase and lowercase letters as being the same letters because you are going to pronounce them differently, depending on the language being used. At the same time, you could maybe read it in a way that associates the two. And then all of the English nouns are capitalized to go with their associated capital letter, which is not how we normally treat nouns in English. We only capitalize proper nouns, unless they are at the beginning of a sentence. German is the language that always capitalizes its nouns. And then finally, it's a personal pet peeve that everyone uses ice cream for the letter I. I know that it's something that children love and relate to. But when we are teaching kids their phonics, we always start with short i, not long i. And with Earth, yes, the word does start with the letter E, but it's an r-controlled vowel and not the short e that we are teaching kids in the beginning. Because of the inclusion of ch and ll as Spanish letters in this book, I felt like the authors were trying to encourage learning those beginning sounds, so I would personally prefer to have the early ones that we teach.

Otherwise, it is a fun way to learn the vocabulary for so many words in both languages. And I have to reiterate that I absolutely adore these illustrations. I would still probably add it to my classroom library, because those illustrations are going to draw in the children to looking at it. I just think I would have to get creative if using it as an alphabet/phonetic teaching tool.

I love that this is a bilingual A to Z book! I enjoyed trying to pronounce the Spanish words and then typing them into translate to hear what they should actually sound like. My favorite word was galletas, we stayed in a town called Las Galletas in Spain and it was great to learn what the translation was.

The illustrations were bright and fun and I think kids will enjoy learning an alternate alphabet.

This was a very simple but cute book teaching the alphabet in both English and Spanish. The text is simple and has the words in both English and Spanish. A great addition for teaching your little one beginning Spanish.

This is a great book for young children, which teaches them the Alphabet in both english and spanish. It has bright and colourful illustrations, which are really cute. My daughter enjoyed this book a lot, especially the animals, and we both loved that the book is quite long as this kept us busy for a while.

Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This was an adorable book and just as advertised! I loved how each letter had a word from English and Spanish that started with that letter (and its translation to the other language underneath). I'd recommend it to speakers of English, Spanish or both! However, I don't speak Spanish, so I can't speak to the dual language experience.

This was a great book to learn two languages. I liked how it switched between English and Spanish, so it wasn't the same on every letter. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to teach their child two languages at an early age.

I love these English/Spanish baby books! I really liked that this book used two words per letter, translated those words into Spanish, and used upper case and lower case. And used some 2-letter sounds like "ch!" Good for a learning preschooler!

I was able to review Letters A to Z by Susie Jaramillo and Encantos Media Studios for providing me with an advanced ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This book is great for toddlers to learn to speak spanish and increase their vocabulary.
Letters A to Z would make a wonderful and special addition to any toddler’s library.
What better way to introduce the young ones to a different culture and language, my daughter loves this book.

When my kids and I are watching Nick Jr, we get to watch Canticos nursery rhymes. You know the ones - they are the nursery rhymes that are sung in both English and Spanish with the 3 little chicks and their friends. My son's personal favorite is The Wheels On the Bus.

In addition to adorable music videos, there are bilingual picture books from Canticos that help kids learn both English and Spanish words. We have 2 favorites that my kids love, and they were so excited to hear that a new book will be out NEXT WEEK about feelings!

The first book my kids read as we were teaching my 3 year old the letters of the alphabet was Letters A to Z. This book walks through both the English and Spanish alphabet and gives a word that begins with each letter (example: N is for nest and de noche [night]). Coupled with the adorable pictures, and this one is a hit.

Even though the books are geared towards my preschooler, my 6 year old also benefits from learning the Spanish words, and she is learning how to sound out her words (she's a reader now!)

Definitely a cute little bilingual alphabet book. The bright colors and baby chicks characters are very enticing. I appreciated that the differences between the English and Spanish alphabet were addressed but that the differences in the sounds were also addressed. Have some phonics with your alphabet. :)

It is hard to pull off a bilingual alphabet book, but this book nails it. Each spread has a beautiful, colorful illustrations, and within the spread there is one page with a word in English that corresponds with the letter, and the other page has a word in Spanish. Each word has a translation beneath it in parenthesis so it’s perfect for monolingual families working on adding a second language to their home, be it English or Spanish. I also love that they had pages for letters specific to the Spanish alphabet, Ch, Ll, Ñ. I am never disappointed by the bilingual content from Encantos Media and my kids agree.

Unable to read or offer review due to download issues and the book isn't as expected. The description didn't show much as I expected it to be. However the book has cute pictures.

I just love children’s books that have cute illustrations. And when those illustrations are combined with some educational or life lessons, it is the best of all worlds.

Letters A to Z has everything a parent would want in an alphabet picture book. Adorable illustrations (cuteness to the nth power,) grace each page and both capital and lower case letters are shown. What really sets this alphabet book apart from the others, however, is the addition of Spanish words for each alphabet.

Letters A to Z would make a wonderful and special addition to any toddler’s library. What better way to introduce the young ones to a different culture and language. Five noteworthy stars.

I received a digital copy of the book from Encantos Media Studios through NetGalley. The review herein is completely my own and contains my honest thoughts and opinions.

Thank you to NetGalley for an ARC of this book! I love the Little Chickes! I have a 3-year-old son and when he watches Nick Jr. and they come on I always stop whatever I am doing to watch their little skit and sing along! This book was adorable and I will definitely get my hands on a physical copy when I can! I liked the idea of switching back and forth between using English and Spanish as the first word for each letter. Thank you again to NetGalley!

Disclaimer I received a copy of this book via NetGalley

I’m a huge fan of bilingual picture books. This one teaches the alphabet in both Spanish in English including the weird letters that only exist in Spanish like ch or ñ. Having words for each letter in both English and Spanish increases vocabulary and dexterity to switch between the languages. The pictures are super cute as well.

Very cute artwork. Nice learning tool for kids. It was easy for me to read to my three year old twins. The colors and letters are something they are learning now and this book helped with that. Very cute.
